In your hc, why do you think Hal and Mr. Puzzles broke up?

(Answering this finally because WOTFI 2024 is possibly happening in a couple of hours and I don't wanna have spoilers to it in this. This does unfortunately mean no comic panels, which will be added in a reblog for thoust viewing!)

Hal was merely looking for someone, ANYONE to care for his side, his coworkers said it was a part of being in their field, and his mother was already heading over to see his dad in the hospital after the incident. Mr. Puzzles had offered to drive him there, and with that, Hal thought he could confide in his boyfriend about how he was taking this in pure sincerity.

Oh what a fool, this was Mr. Puzzles after all!

"Your storytelling was so PERFECT!" Puzzles exclaimed as Hal finished explaining the sitiuation. Had Puzzles REALLY only heard of this as a story and not a real event??

"What?" Hal slowly questioned, just as slowly as his face turned to look at Puzzles beaming smile. He was seriously thinking up scripts NOW?

Puzzles giggled back, "Your storytelling! The drama! The PASSION of the moment! UGH, THE EMOTION WAS SO RAW!" Puzzles occasionally using hand motions with one hand as he "complimented" Hal on his explanation.

Puzzles really only thought of one thing in Hal's vulnerable time of need: his scripts.

"...Those scripts are all you talk about anymore..." Hal mumbled. Puzzles glances over,

"Sorry huh? What'd you say?"

Hal puts his hand to his furrowed brows, "Stop the car here. I'll walk the rest of the way."

Puzzles, now entirely confused as he pulls over, "What? What's the matter now?"

Hal gets out of the car and turns to face him, leaning on the window.

"US. I thought maybe once I could be more important to you than these damn scripts, these ratings. I was always second place to THEM wasn't I? So I'm no longer going to get in your way.

WE. ARE DONE." Hal walks away from a stunned Mr. Puzzles. Maybe they could've communicated better in some other timeline, but for them in this one, Mr. Puzzles just sat there...

It had to be this way...

Even if they don't do this, WOTFI 2024 is gonna be PEAK. I can't wait to lose my marbles again over such a cool series.

SMG4tober Day 5: Meggy

Meggy's gone through many looks throughout the years, and honestly? She's pretty neat! Doing this day early because tomorrow is most likely WOTFI 2024 (also why I didn't draw Leggy, sorry!).

(Am I hoping for more Auri in the possibly non-existent future? YES. I MISS MY SON /silly.)
