I suppose the ‘‘villains’’ deserve their own side of the story and people are people but it somehow has to fit with the original character of the original story and it’s not like ‘‘this villain is popular, let’s make a movie about why they are villains, it’s gonna be deep’’ sort of thing.
It kinda feels forced. On that note, Jafar’s character in Twisted or Disney’s Live action Aladdin, felt much more ‘‘organic’’ to me. Even Maleficent. Sometimes what makes a person or their actions be interpreted as villainous or just is a matter of perspective.
Cruella was given enough ‘’reasons’’ to kill puppies and wear them as a coat in ‘‘101 Dalmatians’’. She was obsessed with furs. This film feels like.... ‘’Crazy hair check, fabulous check, wants to kill Dalmatians check. Let’s make a deep backstory about this’’ (For lack of better words).
Maybe they’re going to make an other live-action Lion king movie about Scar and his known backstory. I wonder how that would go. Wanna make bets?

Hey, what the fuck is going on with the Cruella film?
Ah, Lady D
Iconic Woman
and... Famous female character from a video game that has a HISTORICALLY ACCURATE OUTFIT?
Maybe Martin was sort of a ‘‘Robin Hood’’ supporter? I think the Gray Fox was also helping the beggars and the poor?

I've been reading Martin's UESP page while working on headcanons and my backstory for him, but I love how casual/nonchalant he is while meeting the Gray Fox.
DRAGON AGE 4 PROTAGONIST
In DAO we had the Warden
In DAII we had the Champion of Kirkwall
IN DAIII Inquisition we had the Inquisitor
What will we have in DA4?
I Have an idea about how this is going to go down....
DA4 TRAILER:
You should’ve acted… He’s already here… The chant of light told of his return. His sleep was merely a delay. For the time after the Veil opened and the priests of Andraste would spill their own blood. But no one wanted to believe. Believe he even existed. And when the truth finally dawns… it dawns in veilfire!

But, there is one he fears. In old Tevene he is INSANIS SCIURUS …
THE DRAMATIC SQUIRREL!

FUS RO DAH! UMM...KUK-KUK-KUK?
(or whatever sounds squirrels make, i guess?)
(Triumphant rendition of ‘’The dawn will come’’)
Nuz aan sul, fent alok,
I mean...
But a day shall arise,
when the dark chantry’s lies,
will be silenced forever and then!
Fair Thedas will be free
from the Fen’Harel’s maw! Dramatic Squirrel, Dramatic squirrel
by his acorns is sworn
To keep bigots forever at bay!
And the eggiest b**ches rout when they hear triumph's kuk
Dramatic Squirrel , for your randomness we pray!
[And then it turns out that it wasn’t the DA4 Protagonist that saves the world but a literal squirrel that just wanted to hide his nuts by stuffing them into random places and causing earthquakes and magic chain events and what not, like Scrat from Ice Age]
OMG Totally! Wasn’t that Jareth’s Feathersona/ animagus form? Or is he a shapeshifter like Morrigan?
A wizard of the wilds? Morrigan’s dad?
*Le Gasp* The Labyrinth/ Dragon Age crossover?

CONFESSION:
In Awakenings there's an owl in the cutscene that plays when you first go to Blackmarsh and it looks exactly like the one from Labyrinth.
