It was a rare day in Winterfell when both Lord Eddard and Lady Catelyn were called away on business and the children were left to their own devices.

Sansa was able to convince Robb–who always found it difficult to refuse his sweet sister–to play along as the brave gallant knight to her queen. He carried her on his back as she went around the castle grounds to visit her loyal subjects. Catching sight of Arya watching her older siblings, Jon Snow asked if she would like to ride around on his back as well. Arya scowled and declared that she will race them and outpace them both. She then went and grabbed their baby brother Rickon to be her precious cargo and proceeded to run around with her wooden sword as if charging off to war. Bran, who was attracted by the commotion, asked Jon what was happening. When Jon explained the situation and asked if Bran would like a ride, the little boy happily agreed and he soared around Winterfell on Jon’s shoulders.

It was a glorious, happy day, all six of them racing along the grounds of Winterfell, whooping and laughing.

The tongue-lashing they all received–save for Rickon–from Lady Catelyn later on was well worth it.
