Namjoon's first solo projects didn't resonate deeply with me.

But rpwp it's just such a feast, it was a big leap artistically. RPWP is risky, is strange and daring in a new and refreshing way. It's the kind of music I listened before getting into BTS.

Kind of unrelated but...

I also started noticing recently that RM's verses in BTS songs get me emotional more often than other member's verses too.

RM's verse in Save me really really got me a couple of times. And is not even one of my favorite BTS songs...

Right Place, Wrong Person

I am not sure if I have written a post about RM's music before. The truth is, Namjoon is probably the BTS member that I understand the least, musically speaking. At least that was true until I listened to 'Right Place, Wrong Person'. I never really made a conscious effort to understand RM's solo music, which was very foolish of me. I was missing out a lot.

This thought came to mind when I saw Namjoon's post on IG today. He posted about an article on The Guardian, mentioning his album as one of the best records of the year, according to the readers. The article says:

"Rich and thoughtful, bound by no boundaries, a musical and lyrical treat. The ambience of music videos complements the whole premise of this album. Veronika, Cardiff"

I honestly think that this description falls short. I think this album is beyond wonderful. It does not matter if you are not into BTS, K-pop, or pop at all. This album caters to people who like music from a variety of genres such as funk, R&B, soul, jazz, hip hop, and pop. It is musically multilayered and interesting, with emotional and brilliant lyrics. I would say that, musically speaking, this album is the best solo album we have had from BTS so far. The same goes for the videos that came out with this record. The concepts and visuals are edgy and cool. I absolutely love all the tracks in this album, but I especially love 'Lost' and 'Groin'.

Please give this album a chance, you will not be disappointed.

Long live our wonderful BTS leader, RM. He is an amazing artist.
