so I got an ask about my AU Venus but the ask just DISAPPEARED but I’m going to indulge in this anyway

She is an unnatural softshell, being born with both sides of her shell being not as protective as a normal one. (With her being a painted turtle yokai.) and I sketched these out really quick

the plastron that’s seen in the show (I headcanoned in this AU) as a faux shell-armor to cover her real, not fully formed shell. I can imagine it was also styled to make her look more feminine in the “public eye.” (Especially with her being big mama’s assistant.)

remember the episode called “goyles” or something along those lines? Once Draxum so gracefully “gave up” Venus to Big Mama, she was sent to one of those training camps for assistants/warriors. Chizu was a friend of hers, and growing up there with Fuwa as one of the instructors, she became quite competitive.
