In about a month from now (basically, once I move out for college) I’m probably gonna open up commissions in case anyone’s interested. I’ve been unemployed since December due to a lot of personal reasons and I hope I can start making money sometime soon! Especially doing something I actually enjoy.
Gonna practice getting better at shading and drawing clothing and backgrounds while I’m at it lolz
Would you guys be interested if I opened up $5-15 sketch/colored sketch commissions for the time being?
I just really want to make some dang money right now but everywhere I’ve applied has rejected me, and I haven’t really had a job since December and am wanting to make money while going to school. Just at least for this semester.
It’ll just be sketches for now. I don’t have the time for quickly making more than one detailed piece of art since I’m extremely busy with schoolwork and exams. I also only take Venmo though I’m working on getting PayPal set up as well.
Would anyone be interested? I’m not offended at all if you say no, seriously. I just want honesty. And ofc no matter the outcome it isn’t a guarantee I’m gonna open them up.

Hey people on Tumblr, I have a question for you : do you contribute to your community ? Do you take the initiative to make things better for the people around you ?
I’ve brought up many times about Shahed Abumousa. She’s a 20 year old Palestinian who is studying dentistry and she is doing her best to survive a whole year of horror and violence. Since October last year, she has gone through the bombing of her house, the multiple displacements, the hunger and thirst, the shootings and diseases.
Despite it all, Shahed has dedicated her time, energy, and effort for everyone around her. She has volunteered as medical aid when hospitals were being destroyed one by one, distributed food with her family when she is starving, and taught children who couldn’t go to school in between her classes. Speaking of which, she continues with her education to achieve her degree while fundraising for her family of 7 people’s survival and supplies for her students. She is carrying a lot on her shoulders when she is only 20!
I am asking you once again:, what are you doing for your community? The truth is that most people are doing the bare minimum, if anything at all. So if you want to make a difference, please donate and share. Your contribution will not only help Shahed and her family survive, but it will also help give back to her community. So give what you can because she's stagnating at the halfway mark that she reached only recently after 7 months. She deserves all of our support.

I’m not gonna sugarcoat it: my dad has been without a job for a good while. He’s been working freelance and so far he has had work and tbh I haven’t had to worry much.
He hasn’t gotten any work this whole month however. We’re purely on my mom’s salary for now, which, while not bad, is still isn’t enough. Also my parents won’t let me get a job because in their terms, “that’s only gonna be extra stress for me and I already have enough stress with college + I’m in no need for a job” (For the record, if I didn’t make myself clear: I live with my parents. And my grandma.) which is understandable and I’m grateful for it but also means that im fully dependent on my parents on monetary terms. And like, I get money from my parents monthly, for public transportation and food: around 16 dollars (15000 CLP) but that has NEVER been enough at all. I can barely make it to the end of the month and I constantly have to be asking my parents to lend me money for both food and public transport (note: I take public transport almost on a daily basis because I live quite away from college. And public transport is a bit expensive when you live at the periphery of the city)
This usually isn’t a big issue for me, but right now my parents are NOT in conditions to be lending me money. And, again: 16 dollars has never been enough per month.
My worry at first was that I would not be really able to like, pay a couple of bills that I have to pay next month, but now I’m worried because of the economic situation in my household. I want to help, or at least be able to have my own money to pay for my things such as food and public transport, or just, anything that I have to pay for, without having to ask my parents for money all the time when they clearly are not in condition to provide it right now.
