The one argument I don’t understand from some “police abolitionists” is being particularly against the professionalization of policing. Like, your issue seems to be that policing was okay until it was professionalized? Like idk gender essentialism seems to be increasing among younger people and I felt like we were trying to move away from that like 5 years ago even when I was in high school. But now all the podcast bros are becoming a thing and then they’ll always have that one pick me girl on their podcast who validates internalized misogyny. Make it stop!
