he was here.

i was in the palace when i saw the big black portal, i immediately ran out of the palace and outside. i ran as fast as i could, my legs and lungs burned as i ran.

when i got there i saw thanos grab vision by his neck and rip the stone out of his head, throwing his grey lifeless body on the ground.

“vision” i scream through tears as i run over to him, i hold his lifeless body against mine. as i’m holding him i feel a big hand gently pull my hair back, i look up and scowl as i see thanos looking at me sympathetically.

“i understand what you are feeling little one” he admits and i give him a look of disgust because he is, i can feel the grief and sadness washing off of him. i don’t say anything, i just look away from him. i feel him let go of my hair and walk away from me, leaving me with a lifeless vision.

i looked down at vision and let out a heart wrenching sob. everything i knew about vision was gone, his beautiful red skin, his beautiful blue eyes, but most his love. i couldn’t feel it anymore, i couldn’t feel him anymore.

present

today marked the five year anniversary of the snap and vision's death.

everyone was inside the compound building the time machine to get everyone back while i was at vision and i’s favorite spot. whenever we wanted to come outside we would sit under a big oak tree and look at the sunset or stars.

the team never knew even after five years how hard i took it and i hoped they never would. i looked on the ground and picked up the envelope that had my name on it in visions handwriting. i opened it and unfolded the paper, it was a property deed for a house. i looked down and saw a big heart drawn in red with writing in it...

i immediately felt the tears fall down my face, a sob escaped my lips as i remember what he admitted 5 years ago before thanos came.

5 years ago in scotland

“vis you really want this” i ask and he nods “i want to grow old with you, i want to get married and have kids. i want a life with you darling” he admits and i smile.

“then let’s do it” i said and he smiles big, he picks me up and twirls me around making me giggle “i love you vis” i look down at him and he smiles,

“and i love you darling”

present

“has anyone checked up on y/n today” nat asks and no one answers “guys come on today is probably one of the worst days of the year for her and none of you remembered” she scolds.

they all think for a moment before it hits them “oh god” steve mumbles, regret flowing through his body.

“today, today’s the day?” tony asks and nat nods. tony also feels regret wash over him as he remembers hearing you sob in your room when he came from space.

“what’s today” scott asks confused “today is the day thanos snapped and killed vision, the love of her life” rhodey explains as scott frowns feeling empathy for the poor girl.

as they stand in silence they hear her heart wrenching sobs coming from outside, this was the worst they have ever seen her besides the day of.

5 years ago in wakanda

they all walk over to her and see her curly hair covering her face as she cries into visions body, they her mumbling the words i’m sorry over and over again like a prayer.

they all stand around her, nat moves to caress her rub her back encouraging her to let it all out. they sit there and let her cry until they need to go, thor carries her as she cried while steve grabbed visions lifeless body.

they had never seen her this bad, her eyes were puffy and red while her sobs were strained. nat and steve couldn’t help but shed a few tears watching their friends grieve over such a loss.

present

i wanted nothing more than to live the rest of my life with vision. i wanted to get married and start a family with him.

it’s all gone now.

but i know that if he wasn’t taken so soon we would have been happier than ever.

summary: after a mission gone wrong, vision accidentally hurts someone. tony is furious with him and berates him for his mistake, but fails to realize that he has feelings.

a/n: seeing vision cry makes me cry.

“how did you manage to hurt someone” tony yells obviously furious.

“i didn’t mean to sir-“ vision tries but is cut off

“you didn’t mean to” tony yells making me flinch “you aren’t supposed to make mistakes, you are a robot they don’t make mistakes” tony yells hitting the table.

i look at vision and see the hurt look on his face. i feel my heart break as he quickly changes his hurt expression to a neutral one.

“i’m sorry sir it won’t happen again” he says lowly, looking down at the table

“you’re damn right it won’t happen again” tony yells.

vision gets up and walks out, i look at a furious tony and steve and give him a look. i look around and notice the avengers just sitting there like vision hasn’t saved their asses in multiple occasions but won’t defend him.

“wow” i say catching everyone attention

“what y/n” tony asks bitterly

“for a genius you are really fucking dumb at times. why do you fail to realize that vision has emotions, he’s more than a creation tony. you don’t think he feels guilty about what he did. he’s saved humanity from ultron when we couldn’t, that should say a hell of a lot” i stop to take a deep breath “he’s hurt by what you said but you couldn’t take a moment to realize it” i say and tony just stares at me.

i walk out of the room and go after vision. i see visions door is closed so i knock lightly, i wait for a minute but he doesn’t answer.

“vis its me” i softly say as i open his door and walk into his room.

i shut the door behind me before turning around, i see vision sitting on his bed staring at the wall.

“you okay” i ask snd he shrugs.

“i didn’t mean to hurt her” he says softly “i would never do that” he says and i walk over to him and stand in front of him.

“i know vision and i know you feel terrible but what tony said isn’t true” i say softly as i lift his chin so he can look at me “you are allowed to make mistakes because it’s normal” i assure but he looks away from me.

“how do you even love me” he asks barely above a whisper

“i love you because you’re wise, strong, kind, loving, you’re the love of my life vision and i would not trade it for anything” i admit.

he looks back at me and his eyes search mine before a tear falls from his eye (gif).

i frown at the sight of the tear and quickly wipe it away. it was visions first time crying but i wasn’t going to make a big deal about it because he’s experiencing new emotions.

“thank you darling” he thanks and i look at him confused .

“for what” i ask and he stands up and caresses my cheek.

“everything” he says and i smile before kissing his cheek lightly.

“anything for you vis”

“y/n you can not tell me after two years in wakanda that bucky doesn’t want him some chocolate” sam says and i giggle.

“we’ll never know” i say and he groans.

“come on y/n that man was like uncooked chicken when he went to wakanda and now he’s like a chicken that’s just came off the grill you know what i’m saying” he says and i laugh.

“you’re never going to let this go are you” i ask and he shakes his head

“no because i know that man wants him some chocolate ” he says and i laugh.

“there is no way you stay in wakanda for two years surrounded by all of these beautiful women and not like chocolate” he says throwing his hand up in the air.

“he was in the mountains with a goat sam, i don’t think he did much mingling” i say and he rolls his eyes.

“sarah help me out here” he asks sarah and she gives him a look.

“sam i’m not doing this with you” she said and laughed

“bucky may like black women but we’ll never know unless he says something about it” i say and he nods.

1 week later

i was in the kitchen making breakfast with sarah when bucky came into the kitchen with sam, bucky walked over to me and gave me a quick peck before sitting on the counter.

i look over and see sarah smile before looking at sam, i look at sam and see his jaw hanging open.

“WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN” he asks waving his hand between bucky and i.

“a year ago after the cookout” i answer and he puts his hands up as he shouts in victory.

“so i was right” he says with a smirk and bucky looks at me confused.

“right about what” bucky asks

“about how you liked chocolate” sam says and bucky looks even more confused and sam sighs “we were talking about how you like black women” he said and bucky nods understanding now.

“it was more sam trying to convince me on something i already knew” i say and sam rolls his eyes“he also called you an uncooked chicken” i say and sam gives me a look.

“really y/n” sam groans and i giggle.

“before you became cap you were literally called ‘the falcon’” bucky says making sarah and i laugh.

“but it’s way cooler than a chicken alright” sam defends and bucky rolls his eyes

“ok sam” bucky says obviously over the situation.

sam and bucky start arguing about god knows what. i look at sarah and she looks at me and we both laugh.

“how do we deal with this every month” sarah asks and i laugh

“i have absolutely no clue”
