Ah it's neither, although a Dragon Age fic would be interesting! It's a prequel to the Dominant's Assistant fic - how the Batch got together, Tech development, and especially how Crosshair managed to persuade everyone to get to his level of intensity

The perfect time to query, just them in the quarters, and Crosshair allowed his toothpick to slowly move from one side of his mouth to the other as he watched Hunter’s expression carefully. A small furrow between his brother’s eyebrows suggested he was not in the mood, but if he waited for Hunter to be ready for conversations then they’d never speak.

“About?” Hunter said finally and grudgingly. Crosshair’s gaze moved from Hunter to the hidden door of the storeroom and then back again. One eyebrow twitched upwards only to be answered by an irritable huff. “I’m not into guessing games,”

But he knew. He’d studied Hunter’s expressions so many times, in peace time and in war. He knew awkward when he saw it, just as he saw that familiar jawline tense and Hunter’s head rise a little as though anticipating a fight. Well, well. How curious.

“I don’t know whether to be amused or insulted,” Crosshair drawled, and Hunter’s scowl deepened.

“Then I guess you pick one,” Hunter shook off Crosshair’s hand on his shoulder and Crosshair watched as his brother marched from the room, tension outlined in every muscle Hunter possessed. A small smile curled at the corner of his mouth as he delicately settled down on his bunk.

Oh yes, he knew. And more interestingly, he was conflicted about it too. But what? If it was the safety aspect then the whole situation wouldn’t be happening at all until he was convinced. 

Crosshair slipped a toothpick into his mouth and smiled further. Well. One to think about, at least.

As someone who absolutely writes Crosshair as a sub, this tag must be preserved.
