Made A New Character! His Name Is Orion And He Has A Very Cringey Backstory
Made a new character! His name is Orion and he has a very cringey backstory đđ

As a kid, Orion always felt a need to make everyone always feel comfortable. His parents, however, thought very little of his efforts, and thought he was just being annoying. They would always make him feel bad when he was only trying to help!
These days, Orion steers clear of people, fearing heâll be hated for loving.
(There is a LOT of information in between but honestly Iâm too lazy to write it đĽ´)

Iâve had a little rose-patterned collar for quite a while now and when I tell you it is my most favorite thing in the world, Iâm not exaggerating one bit! That weight around my neck just makes me feel so secure and connected to the canid side of me, especially when Iâm having a panic attack or am justreally sad. Itâs gotten hated on a few times but other than that itâs absolutely recommended <3 (sorry for the paragraph I write a lot lol)
the click of a collar simply turns on my dog brain
The Shapeshifter
Part Two
I opened my eyes weakly to find myself in an unfamiliar room, surrounded by the people I had met during my escape attempt. There was a lot of hustle, so I decided to keep my head down. I was panicking a little, but I didnât want to scare anyone else, so I kept still.
âScarlet! Stay down!â Mary demanded, pointing at the dog on the counter accusingly.
âSorry, Mom,â Scarlet whined, knowing that the human couldnât understand her, but still apologizing anyways. I felt the other dog snuffle at my back rather suddenly, and I leapt up to my paws in defense before I could stop myself.
âAh! Youâre awake!?â Mary exclaimed from just outside the doorframe of the room I was in. My paws braced and my hair stood on end but she simply stopped and leaned down to pat my head. I felt my leg begin to shift back to my base form, but I couldnât seem to stop it. Luckily, it wasnât too distinct from my Siberian Husky form I had chosen⌠just a littleâŚmisshapen.
I switched my focus to Scarlet, who was staring at me with unsettlingly dominant amber eyes. Her fully deep red fur and German Shepherd-ish build revealed her to be an Australian Kelpie. Around her neck was a silver chain collar with no tag. Strange, I thought. Most pets have tags⌠right?
I twisted my neck to face the dog that had woken me, and actually took the chance to take in its features. It was a beautiful male Mongolian Bankhar with a tan patch on his chest and face. He had a hot pink spiked collar with a bone-shaped dog tag that read âCarnelianâ.
âLook, Iâm sorry I woke you up, but can you stop staring at me?â Carnelian growled suddenly.
âHuh? Oh.. er, sorry,â I submitted, wagging the tip of my tail with flattened ears.
âItâs fine!â He huffed, nipping my ear playfully. âSorry, I didnât mean to sound rude.â
âHey! This dogâs still a stranger! Donât go warming up to them so soon!â Scarlet snapped from beside Carnelian. I let out a weary growl, not wanting to put up a fight, but finding it hard with how high-and-mighty she acted. She glared back, but shook her pelt dismissively, leading her and Carnelian out of the room with a prance that looked rather stupid, to be fair.
Over the next few years, we all had warmed up to each other, all the way until we could sleep in the same room, which was a huge development by my standards.
Scarlet and Carnelian had been growing their relationship quite well, too! Scarlet was expecting pups soon and I couldnât wait to meet them. I had also found a way to not stretch out my form too much, I could go into the bathroom whenever Mom was gone and shift back for a while. No one else knew about my shapeshifting powers, and I could keep them safe. Definitely a win-win.
One morning, however, mom had left for work with the door unlocked. Someone outside had noticed and snuck in while I was asleep. We were lucky that Carnelian had gotten hungry, because he alerted me to his aid and we fought her off ferociously. I subtly used my powers to grow larger, hoping that Carnelian wouldnât notice, but the thief did, and she ran away upon realizing that the dog standing before her was two times her size.
âWow! What got her tail in a twist?â Carnelian quipped, looking up at me. âWhoa, you look, like, ten times bigger!â
âEr- probably just the fact Iâm higher up than you.â I said, shifting back as I hopped down.
âWHATâS HAPPENED? ARE MY PUPS IN DANGER!?â Scarlet yowled, bursting into the room clumsily. âAH! T-THE DOOR!â
âOh- I got it!â I woofed, closing and locking the door with my paws.
âWow, whereâd you learn that!?â
âWell, Mom does it every day,â I lied quickly. I was just relieved that no one had gotten hurt, and my shapeshifting was still a secret. We all plopped down on the couch exhaustedly, proud to be victorious, and dozed into a light slumber.
Youâre a Shapeshifter who was wounded by a monster hunter, in a last ditch effort for survival you shifted into a normal household pet and were whisked away by a plain human unaware of the supernatural where youâve lived for the past three years. You thought you were safe, but theyâre backâŚ

So⌠the other day I hopped on YouTube for the first time in ages and stumbled upon THISâŚ
Ehrsjggkrieuhgkaiuerhfalewiufhaweliuafhreiu PLEASE, YES, I WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR SU TO RETURN!
Also if anyone working on the show or anything like that reads this I would like to see more into Lapis and Peridotsâs relationship, even if it isnât romantic, I feel like it wasnât really explored all that much (I wouldnât know though, I havenât even watched s5 yet lol, just seen clips online and whatnot) but I mean- just a suggestion lol.
(Tw, light cursing and knives)
I clambered through the forest, the monster hunter in trail. Pain shot through my hind leg with each step but I wouldnât stop⌠I couldnât stop. Until I had to, that was. A tall wooden fence loomed over me too suddenly for me to process, and I thudded into it loudly. Barking erupted from the other side, and thatâs when it clicked. I didnât even have to think, I felt my bones settle into the structure of a dog as I scrambled my way over the fence, rolling as I landed on the other side. I panted as I laid still, forming skin over the wound temporarily to trick the hunter, who had made his way over the fence in an instant. I followed the other dogs as they barked at the two new intruders, but rather than saying what they did, I called for help. âIâm not bad, but he is! Iâll be out of your fur if you help me get him out of here! Swiftly, now!â I ďżźyapped desperately.
âHow can we trust you?â One of the dogs snarled.
âYou canât, but heâs more untrustworthy than me, so we need to get him out!â I barked, whipping my head around once to face them, a pleading look in my eyes.
âWhich one of you is that damn monster!?â The hunter shouted, pointing his knife at us individually. We ignored him, advancing as cautiously as possible. âN- now- stay back!â
âWhat is- WHO ON EARTH ARE YOU!?â A lady squealed, opening the door to her yard with a hot frying pan in her hand. The scent of fresh sausage rose from the pan and I began to drool, but I held back respectfully. âSCRAM! GO! BEFORE I CALL THE COPS!â
I yelped and followed the monster hunter over the fence, only to fail to put pressure on my wound and slide back down the wood, scrambling and yelping desperately. Pain shot through my whole body, agonizing as though it had reopened, which it had. I knew the cover would wear off, just not this soon. I leapt again, this time using my front legs, which wasnât nearly as effective as it needed to be. The lady watched from the doorframe as strength flooded from my body with each escape attempt.
âNow, now, calm down! I can see youâre hurtâŚâ She cooed, walking over and resting a hand on my flank.
âMary- DONâT GET NEAR THAT THING!â The dog from before howled, lunging between us and biting my flank, shaking me in her jaws. I almost cried out and blew my cover, but I changed the sound to a yelp last second, twisting around weakly before falling limp. She released her grip as Mary shouted at her to âdrop itâ.
I couldnât tell my up from down, or my left from right, so I gave in, closing my eyes with a sigh.
(Donât worry, the MC isnât dead yet⌠if you would like me to continue?)
