As A Black Person, I Cannot Be Silent About The Injustice That Makes Up The Foundation Of This Country.
As a black person, I cannot be silent about the injustice that makes up the foundation of this country. This is not about there being a few bad police officers. This is not about part of an otherwise functional and helpful government system becoming corrupted.
This is, fundamentally and wholly, how law enforcement is designed to work in a country like this.
There can be no empathy for the police. Being a police officer is a job - it does not innately instill within you a sense of justice, it does not make you honorable, it does not make you worthy of deciding whether or not it is appropriate to take another person’s life. If a police officer takes someone’s life, it is, at best, a failure to de-escalate a situation to allow them to take the suspect(s) into custody.
Before, when black people were viewed as property to be owned and an investment to earn more money, our lives had monetary value. Now, we are seen as without worth, or worse still, actively dangerous and malicious. A threat to the lives and livelihood of white Americans, whether that be just existing in their neighborhoods or asking them to leash their dogs. It could be walking home from the grocery store with a bag of skittles and a bottle of Arizona Tea.
There is no way to remain apolitical. Not taking a stance is taking a stance. Being uninvolved at a time like this is siding with whoever holds the position of power. It is a statement that you are fine with how things are run, since you are not willing to fight for change or support others while they do.
It is not enough to like posts linking to bail funds or lawyers. To be an ally, you must actively enagage and reblog, donate, help spread the word. To be an ally, you must help us, loudly and completely.

Taker’s Bro Moments
I did this for Triple H x Shawn’s Bromance. Trip is the protective big bro there. But we can’t leave out a real big bro with his fair share of moments.

martin's most adorable moment is when he goes "ah! you're back! i told jauffre not to worry!" even though jauffre just told you that martin has barely slept since the hok's been gone
