boothill fun fact!

the term “boothill” is actually a real thing. it’s commonly used for the graveyards of cowboys that died violently, either by hanging or in a gunfight. so i wouldn’t be shocked if it’s revealed that he’s undead and someone rebuilt his body, or if the IPC lead to his death in one way or another. or if he “died” to get out of a contract with the IPC, then rebuilt himself to get back at them.

there’s also multiple songs that reference a boothill and, given hoyo’s love of making cultural references to music, i wouldn’t be shocked if there was one or two with his character.
