Doing your best to dodge the icy patches along the pathway, you continue your medium-fast pace towards your apartment building, squinting up at the sky and wrinkling your nose as little raindrops mixed with soft snow flakes scatter around you and hit your face.

The grocery bags in your hands are quickly turning heavy and the plastic is just beginning to bite into your skin when you finally reach the entryway, narrowly avoiding the puddles littering the steps as you tip toe up to the gate. The rain has made the handle slippery and you’re forced to carefully lay your bags on the ground in order to use both hands to pull at the grates, forcing them to the side as they squeak and groan in protest from the cold.

Buzzing yourself in, you shiver as a wash of warmth pushes through the doors, the cold at your back making you even more eager to get inside as you bent down to scoop your bags from the floor.

And it’s just as you’ve gotten your grip firmly enough through the loops and started your aching-back ascension that you finally notice the little bundle of wet black fur huddled just outside the railing of the entryway, balancing carefully on the concrete ledge above the garden to the side of the stairs. You take a moment to recognize what the small huddled figure could be and you quickly grow worried when you realize it’s a black cat, small and seemingly homeless out in the snow that’s soon to turn into a blizzard.

author’s note: she’s back!!! ahh!! blue kiss is still my most favorite story that i have ever written. i hope it brings a smile to your face and brightens up your day like it did to me while i was writing it (and whenever i think about it 🥰)!! please enjoy!!

It takes you 5 minutes to finally tell yourself the truth. The very sad truth that kissing Kim Namjoon - your crush for the better part of the year - was indeed not so enjoyable.  The first minute was enjoyable, probably only because of the thrill of finally doing something about your infatuation with the bad boy that you share 3:50 detention with. But then the next minute, his tongue got sloppier and sloppier; and you didn’t know if you were kissing your crush or you were about to be woken up from a terrible dream by your St. Bernard, Poodles.

You lightly push Namjoon away and offer him a very awkward tight-lipped smile when you see the confused expression on his face. In your tipsy, hazy mindset, you stare at him dumbly; his bleach blond hair, the stylish shaved line on his right eyebrow, the Ray-Ban wayfarers that he insists on wearing inside and at night (but at least he had the decency to perch it on his head 3 minutes into your short-lived make out session), and the dimples on his cheeks that appears when he asks you what’s wrong. In just a matter of five minutes, all your previous attraction to the boy was eradicated due to a sloppy wet tongue and perfectly straight, white teeth that bit a little too much and little too hard on your now, very sore lips. The Clash’s “Should I Stay or Should I Go” was blasting from the expensive sound system in Taehyung’s living room, and you think to yourself that you should definitely go.

“It’s been, like, so rad getting to know you better, Namjoon. But Suzy is, like, calling me over,” You fib, and when he turns his head to look at the direction where you pointed your best friend was at, you quickly grab his chin and place a final peck on his full, soft lips. You pat his chest twice when you pull away and he was still leaning towards you for another smooch but you’re already walking away.

It was easy for you to escape from his sights, especially since Taehyung’s parties are always so crowded. You make your way through the sea of inebriated bodies and find the staircase to the second floor. The second floor was off-limits, but since you’re good friends with the recent birthday boy, the rules didn’t apply to you.  You step into Taehyung’s room and shut the door behind you. What you find in there is your best friend, Hoseok, sprawled on top of the queen sized bed, like a snow angel on the white comforter. He immediately shoots up when he hears the click of the door closing, panic on his face, but relaxed once more when he sees that it’s you, laying back down on the bed with his hands on the back of his head.

Yoongi pants with his back resting against the peeling bark of a tree to keep his body upright. He tries not to focus on the gash along his right arm, or the currents flowing through his hands, and, instead, attempts to catch his breath and lets his eyes fade to black. He hasn’t the strength to lift his own hand to wipe away the sweat on his forehead, but when Seokjin asks him if he’s okay, he says yes anyway.

You to roll your eyes. “You know, it might actually kill you if you refuse to admit you’re in pain.”

At that, he screws his eyes shut and exhales deeply. There were few things he hated more than being injured. Most notably, being scolded by you.

Actually, it was just you in general.

“I’m fine,” he says when he reopens his eyes and sees you pulling bandages out of your backpack, “Just give me a few minutes to catch my breath.”

Hoseok lets out a sigh of exasperation and falls into a squat position between the two of you. “Yoon, your arm might as well be cut in two and your hand is still twitching. The faster you let her heal you, the faster this is all over.”

The blonde tries his best to convince him, but Yoongi only replies in short huffs. “I said I’m fine. I don’t need—ow! What the fuck was that for?” he grunts, with no second thoughts of accusing you of flicking his head.

“It wasn’t me, dipshit,” you bite.
