𖧷 "did you enjoy your meal, love?" taehyun asks, wiping the corner of his mouth with a napkin before handing the waitress his card and a cash tip. he had surprised you with a late-night korean barbecue, a spontaneous decision when you found yourself craving your favorite k-bbq at 10 p.m. instead of just ordering to-go, he whisked you off for some dine-in.

”mmh, thank you tae!” he walks behind your seat and pulls it out. he holds your hand as you stand up, and his hands fall to your lower back. you both thanked the staff before heading out. you lean up to peck him on the cheek and interlock your fingers. you expect him to walk you to the car, but instead, he looks both ways and leads you across the street to the beach.

it's dark, but the streetlights leave a glow that follows you to the shore. you walk alongside the water, swinging your arms back and forth. he giggles as you crack jokes and spots a long piece of seaweed that has washed up onto the sand.

𖧷 "taehyun, i swear if you come near me with that!!" you separate your hands, and he leans down to pick up the seaweed. you run across the sand, and he follows behind you, swinging the dripping seaweed. you scream, and he can't stop laughing at your terror.

"come here, baby!! i just want a kiss." he continues to chase you, and you run towards the water, splashing him. he drops the seaweed and squeals. taehyun grabs you by the waist and spins you around. the water from his clothes soaks yours, and you know exactly how to get him back.

you look down at him and hold his face with your water-soaked hands. he shakes his face, trying to get them off him, and you cackle evilly. you wipe your hand on his collared shirt and dampen it even further, " you're lucky i love you, silly."

𖧷 taehyun lifts his head to plant a kiss on your lips, and drops of water that landed in his hair drip down onto your face. you brush the hair out of his face and kiss him again. he places you down gently and finds himself staring at you deeper.

"this is so romantic, isnt it? feels like we're straight out of the movies, right?" you nod at him and find yourself staring at him, too. his hair is damp, his thin button-up is partially seethrough, and his eyes are big and full of love.

"you're always gonna be my movie lover," he whispers, and you interlock your hands before leaning your head on his chest. "and you're mine, hyun."

𖧷 suddenly, you remember his shirt was basically soaked, and you pull back. as the damp clothes stick to you, your face twists into a disgusted look. your hair gets stuck to his shirt, and you frown deeper. he fixes your hair and smiles at your grossed-out expression.

"let's go get you dried off," he giggles, and you lead the way to the car. you skip across the street, leaving him to follow behind you, laughing. taehyun unlocks the car doors, letting you hop in. he turns the engine on before looking over at you.

༄ MISSION: OUR SUMMER― tongue tied

𝜗𝜚 ―C.BEOMGYU 【범규】 VERSION

HERE GOES ANOTHER SLEEPLESS SUMMER NIGHT. the suns all out there, making the concrete scorching. stepping outside was like a new generation of sahara, going out barefoot meant the concrete would mistake you for a sausage on a sizzle.

you and beomgyu had been laying on the ground for who knows how long. pinkies intertwined as the only source of affection and physical contact. as of being a fan of the floor, the smooth wooden planks on your bare neck felt like heaven.

"we might as well do an ice mukbang." he says, chewing on his ice-cube as he stares up at the ceiling fan, swivelling in all its glory.

"the fact this is only morning. imagine tonight, trying to sleep."

"THAT'S IT!!! i'm becoming nocturnal." he pouts.

not being able to stand this state for any longer, you suggest "why don't we just- do something fun?" you take a stand, motivated, putting your fists on your hips. you huff your cheeks, extending a confident hand to beomgyu.

before he could grab it you quickly take your hand away. maybe just being a teensy bit of tease. you giggle, and he gets up, playfully bantering with you...

he finally secures you against the kitchen counter, leaning in close. the damp atmosphere make you lose your mind, let alone with the proximity. he presses his slightly dewy forehead on yours, noses touching, lips grazing. he props his hand under your jaw, before pulling you in for a gentle peck on the corner of your lips.

"that's what you get for being a tease, so i'm going to do the same to you.

you find yourself propped up against a pillow, underneath a blanket protecting your bottom from the blistering metal of the balcony floor. you and beomgyu had set up an outside fort, fan on the strongest setting creating a cool atmosphere under your thin bedsheets you had used to roof you from the sun. minimal pillows were uses for optimal space, a small coffee table set up with homemade fizzy drinks in fun colours, truckloads of ice, topped with cute unevenly slices of fruit.

a sweet date on the sunny balcony of the 12th floor of your shared apartment, cool breeze occasionally brushing your hair into your face. your lover sweeps your hair behind your ear, before staring into your eyes as if you strung all the stars together.

you both share your sweet beverages, ranging from all the different combinations and flavours you had concocted back in the kitchen. ones in teal with a cherry slice, a honey lemon drink with orange zest. whatever you both could come up with.

you had both shared a straw, in blue stripes and slightly bit by beomgyu. you had been doing this ever since you were friends, a sweet and loving gesture that goes by effortlessly. he was a part time lover and full-time friend. there is nothing you could ask for more from this boy, the one you've known since kindergarten. he'll always be the boy who asked you to name his rock, the boy who'd play songs for you in his dad's garage, the boy who would pat your back and wipe your tears, the boy who stole your first kiss.

the bustle of the morning slowly dies down as everybody settles from work, birds begin to chirp, leaves begin to trickle, and the noise of the world becomes a comforting melody. kids are playing at the nearby park, cars interacting still sound.

the sun slowly sets, the horizon line seamless. the clouds in front of it reflect an outline of the sun behind, the warm hues intertwining. the sun shines its rays into the small opening on your bedsheets, illuminating all your features.

i don't need the sun. you're enough.

༄ MISSION: OUR SUMMER― HOT TO GO!

𝜗𝜚 ―C.YEONJUN 【연준】 VERSION

"REALLY JUNNIE? on a monday?"

"it'll set the mood! for summer, baby!"

yeonjun always had the craziest antics. but this time, it was almost insane. a beach date?! on a monday?! but what bewildered you the most is not the fact it was a monday morning, not the fact that not even 20 minutes ago you were peacefully in bed, but the absolutely gorgeous edge of the most beautiful coast you have ever laid your eyes on. it looked like a haven that people could call home, a tropical paradise in a season of cool summer.

this summer's morning, you were sprawled out on your shared bed alongside your lover. the whirrs of the fan had drifted the salty sea air outside to float into your room. before you could barely open your eyes, your clumsy boyfriend had dropped the mini cooler from your cabinet causing a loud thud that made your sleepy body jolt.

“oh sh- sorry baby.”

then, you found yourself dragged out of your own cool home to find your bare feet under the warm sand. its light, and isn’t crispy. it doesn’t sting, it isn’t scorching. just the way you like it. the quiet calls of seagulls, the salt lingering in the air and the small waves of water crashing into the shore brought your soul to ease.

life barely stirs, and simple conversation could be heard meters away. the grasp yeonjun had on your palm was still strong, yet holding you like porcelain. as much of a hassle it all was, all of your worries had simply floated away from the sweetness of his words and gentleness of his touch.

“this.. this is beautiful.” you manage to mutter, lips agape, still in awe of the sight she beholds.

“doesn’t compare to you, though.” yeonjun teases, looking over his shoulder over to you.

opal teal ripples glisten under the warm sun, the line of the sunrise so fine as if you could touch the ends of the earth. wispy clouds sprinkled across the sky. the sun hung low in its graceful sky, painted with warm tones and hues of marigold and honey orange.

yeonjun's hand tugs yours, snapping out of your hazy daze. "the changing rooms are riiiiight there." he points.

the hazy daze and morning brain is definitely not a good combo, as the waddle towards the changing rooms was definitely not a straight line.

"hey babe! i think you could take me HOT TO GO! look at how sexy i look." he exclaims, striking a confident pose (as he should!).

you smile back at him, because he was not wrong. like, at all.

every moment under the water felt like a fever dream, your spatial awareness having a malfunction. every frame felt like a scene out of a honey sweet teenage romance film, or the beach arc of a slice of life anime. the warm colours intertwine like flowers in a garden.

suddenly you feel a cold sensation all over your back, scattered all over your body. yeonjun had lightly splashed you with water, but that obviously wouldn't end well.

so why not have fun while you're here?

you are left absolutely breathless, both of you practically soaked in the waters that you had admired in your bewilderment earlier. everything felt so sweet, and he comes closer towards you. he places his slightly pruney hands on your hips. your breath hitches from the sudden proximity and uncontrollable giggle fits. you let out a warm, shared giggle as your foreheads press together. the waters waist deep, ripples sitting on top of your waist.

a cold breeze kisses your cheek in the midst of the morning heat, beads of water drip down his raven locks, cheeks rosy underneath a blossoming sun.

to you, his smile was like cold ice-tea. to him, you were his everything.

he presses his plush lips onto yours, gently giggling as he uses one hand to guide your jaw, leaning into the kiss once more.

you find yourself laid down on a soft beach towel, underneath a warm beach umbrella. yeonjun pushes it in a direction where it could cover you from the sun more, protecting you from the heat of the sun.

“gettin’ the rest you deserve, huh?”

yeonjun whispers, pushing your beachy hair back, pressing a kiss with his plush lips to the crown of your hair. still in the process of stirring awake, she accepts his affection and melts into his touch, basically sinking into the sand.

"i love you."

𖧷 "ugh, gyuuu! i need a sweet treat so bad, i feel like i'm dying," you groan as you sprawl out in his lap. the two of you were sitting beside each other on the couch, cozied up in your cute animal pajamas. he was in a penguin onesie, and you were in a kitty one. you both kept busy, playing a game on your nintendo switch connected to the living room tv.

"that sweet tooth's getting to you, isn't it? we have to have dinner first, sweetheart! you try to beat this level, and i'll go get groceries for dinner, deal?" he holds your face, and his heart melts as you pout over something so silly as waiting until after dinner to have the sweet treat you long for so badly. "as long as you bring something back for me, promise?"

he rolls his eyes and giggles at you, "you always get your way." groaning, he gets up, throwing on some different clothes. "i'll be back, okay? don't get too mad at the game."

𖧷 he heads on his way, and you become so focused on the practically impossible level. as you near the finish line, the sound of keys jingling in the lock shakes you out of your haze. he walks through the door, holding a paper grocery bag. you hop off of the couch and follow him to the kitchen, where he sets the bag down.

"oo, what'd you get?" you try to peek into the bag, but he blocks your view. he rustles around in the bag for a second before pulling out a box of graham crackers, a bag of marshmallows, and a few chocolate bars. "s'mores! i was thinking about how it's summer, and we haven't even made s'mores yet! i kind of forgot that we don't have a fire pit, but there's the stove, right?"

you waste no time opening all the chocolate and graham crackers packages, letting beomgyu handle the marshmallow. he grips the top of the bag, ripping it open with full strength. as the bag rips open, marshmallows fly everywhere.

𖧷 you both stare at each other before hunching over in laughter. he looks down at the bag, still shocked, before joining you in your fit of laughter. your knees go weak as you try to catch your breath, but seeing his face fuels your laughter. "g-gyu, how did you even do that?" you can't keep yourself from laughing as you walk closer to him, looking into the bag of marshmallows that's now been ripped almost entirely in half. luckily, there are still more than half of the marshmallows left.

"don't make fun of me; let's just make the s'mores!" he leans on you, pouting. your laughter dies down as you giggle under your breath. you grab two metal skewers from the utensils drawer and a marshmallow from the bag, still in his hands. "come on, don't be a baby! i'll make yours for you!"

he perks up and quickly runs to put on his onesie again as you walk to the stove. the fire starts, and you toast the marshmallow perfectly before sliding it onto the graham cracker. the chocolate melts as you push the other graham cracker on top.

𖧷 you turn to him and hold the completed s'more up to his mouth. he takes a big bite, almost eating the entire thing in one bite. you pull it away, and a tiny bit of the melted marshmallow sticks to the corner of his mouth.

you kiss it off for him, and he gasps. you pull back and smile at him, and he leans back in for another. he smiles into the kiss and pulls back. his shy antics never fail to maker you fall deeper in love with him.

"you always find a way to give me butterflies," he says gently before he turns to make you your own s'more. he burns the marshmallow and angles it towards you when it catches on fire. he laughs when you yelp, blowing it out for him. he assembles the s’more for to, turning to present it when it’s done.

𖧷 you take a bite, and chocolate gathers in the corner of your mouth instead of marshmallow. he whips it away with his thumb and licks it off before giving you another bite. "i actually don't mind the burnt part; it's kind of good," you hum, enjoying the sweet taste. suddenly, you look back at the grocery bag.

"wait, where's dinner?"
