season 11 of shameless NEEDS a full on IanxMickey sex scene .... hear me out hold on

So yes, I know that alone with no reasoning behind it, it would be a great time for the viewers cause we’re all disgusting ;) but there’s more to it

We have had full on sex scenes with (almost) everyone else: Lip and Karen, Lip and Mandy, Lip and Tami, Fiona and Jimmy/Steve, Fiona and Gus, Fiona and Sean, Fiona and some tinder date, Kev and V, frank and literally anything that walks, and (as sad as it is) Mickey and Svet

(I know 3x06 kinda had a full sex scene but that shit was sad and doesn’t count)

I know that Debbie, Carl, and Liam haven’t had full on sex scenes cause Emma and Ethan only recently turned 20 but it’s not that Cam is too young.

You guys remember that awful (hilarious) episode when Ian slept with some girl? THAT WAS A FULL ON SEX SCENE!!

Maybe it’s the actors not wanting to do it and if that’s the problem then I completly support them and their choices but I have a big feeling it’s the fact that they’re two guys and American TV sucks.

Can you guys think of a single US show that had a gay sex scene? Yeah me either.

1x07 // 10x12

“I now pronounce you husband and husband.”

Brace yourselves, this is probably gonna be long. Before 10x12, there were a lot of Gallavich scenes I loved, but I was never able to tell which one was my absolute favorite, the one that was never gonna be replaced, the one scene that really stood out from the rest. It was a difficult job, believe me. And then there is it. THE scene. The vows scene. Destroying my heart and making it whole again at the same time. It makes me cry just thinking about it, so here’s a few reasons why it is officially my favorite Gallavich scene ever:

Ian and Mickey holding hands. I think this needs no explanation, because I know we were all thinking about the same parallel. But this time is right, this time is for love, this time is Mickey + Ian.

“I, Mikhailo, take you, Ian.” And here my heart breaks just a little bit more, because Mickey is so serious about this that he uses his real name, and it’s… already too much.

the song starts playing right when Mickey says ‘husband’. And I swear to God, Ian’s face here is something unreal. He seems to realize, right in that moment, that this is actually happening. That Mickey, the only man he has ever truly loved, his best friend, his soulmate is right there in front of him, telling him that he wants to spend the rest of his life with him. You can see it in the way his lips part, in the softness and disbelief in his eyes, I just-  

the confidence in Mickey’s eyes when he says “to love and to cherish you”. Yes, he is nervous, and overwhelmed, and his voice is a little shaky, but he is looking straight into Ian’s eyes and he emphasizes the words ‘love’ and ‘cherish’, because he may be nervous, but he has never been more sure of anything in his entire life.

“till death do us part”. And that is the fucking end of me. Maybe I’m imagining things, but I can just see in Mickey’s facial expression that the mere thought of losing Ian to such a horrible event completely destroys him.

“I, Ian, take you, Mickey.” Good fucking BYE. There is not a single thing I don’t love about this. Ian’s smile is so pure as he says the words, he looks so little, and the way he says ‘Mickey’ instead of ‘Mikhailo’ is so IAN. “You will always be Mickey to me. Case closed, I love you.”

the music shift when he says ‘Mickey’. And I don’t know if they did it on purpose, I just know that I can hear my heart shattering into a million pieces.

and that song, oh my god, THAT SONG. I could write an essay about that freaking song, because I literally can’t listen to it without bursting into tears, I’m a little worried tbh. It is so sweet, so comforting, so… them. It fits perfectly to me, they really couldn’t have chosen a better song for this moment. 

Mickey’s face when it’s Ian’s turn to say his vows because I CAN’T DEAL. Yes, Mickey Milkovich can’t believe he is marrying the love of his life and that he’s never gonna lose him again, but most of all… that is the look of a man who believed he was worthless, who believed no one could ever love him, who the only thing he had ever known was his father’s psychological and physical abuse. That is the look of a man that can’t believe that the love of his life is making a promise to him that he will love and cherish him. For who he is. From this day forward. For better or for worse. Forever. 

“In sickness and in health.” And here I lose it guys. Completely. I can’t move on from this. Because now you just know that that is not an empty promise. That is the truth, they’ve been there, that is the reality. And you can see a shift in Ian’s expression, you can hear the seriousness in his voice as he says those words. And Mickey… Mickey just can’t fucking move. Because he knows he will be there no matter what, he will be there for him always. He is gonna love all the “fucking versions Ian is”. And Ian knows this as well. Mickey proved that to him, so many times. And I’m a fucking mess.

Ian’s absolutely ADORABLE ‘now?’. How someone can be so adorable is beyond me. He can’t fucking wait to kiss his HUSBAND, and he looks like a puppy. I can’t even. And Mickey was STILL looking at him, as if he was physically unable to tear his eyes away from Ian’s face. Oh God.

Mickey’s smile right before Ian kisses him, because… please send help.

their faces after the kiss. Do I really need to explain why their faces after the kiss are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my life? They are literally drowning in love? I have never seen two people so in love? Mickey is basically crying at this point, and Ian still can’t believe and looks at Mickey like he is a fucking miracle. It’s real, sweetie, Mickey is yours. Forever.

it goes without saying that Cam and Noel were absolutely MAGNIFICENT in this scene. Their talent is really something else, they delivered an astonishing performance and I love them so much, I’m so glad they exist. THANK YOU.

their whole family being there. Cheering them, crying happy tears for them, even FUCKING FRANK made me cry and this speaks volumes!

basically the fact that I still cry my fucking eyes out every time I watch this scene. With actual sobs, face wet with tears and utter despair. But it’s fine, it’s cool, because Ian and Mickey are married, they are finally happy, after all they’ve been through, and there is no one in the world that deserves happiness more than they do. I love them more than anything, and this scene is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
