This is canon bc I say so
luz really had the power of god and anime on her side. huh

[Image ID: “One of my favorite genders” meme edited to say “Shout out to NEURODIVERGENT FEMALE PROTAGONISTS WHO REALLY NEED TO TALK TO THEIR MOMS fr 🤞🏾/Gotta be one of my favorite genders”
Several characters surround the man from the original meme: Mae Borowski from the game Night in the Woods, Tulip Olsen from the show Infinity Train, Hilda from the show Hilda, Claire from the game A Short Hike, Madeline from the game Celeste, Luz Noceda from the show The Owl House, Vi from the game Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling, and Athena Cykes from the Ace Attorney series of games. Niko from OneShot is hiding in the corner. End ID.]
luz noceda died, met god, found out god was a genderfluid dad in pajamas, was resurrected with +10 magic powers, and then let her mortal enemy get killed by rain
...honestly no notes
I know I don't post fandom-related stuff often, but I just wanna say I really appreciate how The Owl House handled Odalia just not getting back to Amity's life. She's shown for a split second just to show she's alive, but she isn't on Amity's life, she isn't getting a half assed redemption that somehow makes up for an entire life of abusing everyone, she just gets cut out and Amity instead gets to be close to her father, and she takes after him.
A lot of movies and shows lately have gone for the sort of "happy ending" where an abusive parent does a rushed apology (or not even that) and next scene it's all magically happy and settled. A lot of times not enough responsibility is given to the abusive parent, and years of trauma are just swept under the rug.
But TOH just allows Amity to cut her abusive mother away from her life, and be much happier because of that, and I really appreciate it. I feel like a lot of neurodivergent and queer people have parents they've cut away from their life, and having this show (which does certainly represent both groups) represent a main character with that sort of situation is really nice.
