We all know how Draco and Harry get when paired together in Potions. Well, I want to see them get paired together in Divination. Their foretelling mainly consists of them competing in who will divine a more gruesome death to the other. 

Trelawney is so impressed by their clairvoyance that they remain partnered for the rest of the year.

My Thoughts: This little fic (110k words; the word “little” does not apply anywhere. LOLOL) released today has pretty much everything for drarry lovers. It begins with a subtle-not-subtle canon split during which Draco meets Voldemort at his home the summer before fifth year and slowly becomes aware of who/what Voldemort actually is. (I say subtle because, for those who don’t like canon AU’s, this doesn’t feel like that, and stays fairly close to the events with the exception of Draco’s level of involvement.) Then it encompasses a tentative exploration of friendship in Harry and Draco’s fifth year, a deeper involvement between them in 8th, once the war is over, and progresses all the way into their close partnership/friendship as Aurors.

There are so many wonderful elements to this fic, too — it’s a slowburn that doesn’t always feel like one (the attraction is there between them, and the tension gets amped way up as the fic progresses). It’s an Auror partner’s fic, an enemies-to-friends-to-lovers fic, a case fic; it has a beautiful exploration of Harry’s family’s history and culture, a fabulous surrounding cast, great banter and snark and pining and…*whispers*…some incredibly hot sex.
