Sansa/Willas- Beauty and the Beast Au

            Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a young heir lived in a shining castle called High Garden. Although he had everything his heart desired, the heir was spoiled, selfish, and arrogant. It was this arrogance that lead him to challenge another man, the Prince of Dorne, to a duel. Not only did the Dornishman soundly beat the heir, but after the duel the prince’s youthful appearance meted away to reveal he was truly a sorcerer in disguise. The heir tried to apologize, but it was too late, for the sorcerer had seen that there was no humility or kindness in his heart. And as punishment, the sorcerer transformed him into a hideous beast and placed a powerful spell on High Garden and all who lived there. He then plucked a golden rose from the heir’s own garden and placed an enchantment on it. The rose would bloom until his 21st year; if he could learn to love and be kind to another, and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time. Ashamed of his monstrous form, the beast concealed himself inside High Garden castle, with a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world. As the years passed, he fell into despair and lost all hope. For who could ever learn to love a beast?
