{despite popular belief, levi has had sex before. before joining the scouts, and afterwards. something to fill the void or a past time that helped him cope with the horrors of his life. but he could never trust anyone to stay afterwards. one night stands or the occasional time he sleeps with someone more than once is all he ever does in those early days.

perhaps it's because of his upbringing that sex is just whatever to him. eventually, though, sex loses its appeal and it doesn't take much for him to stop sleeping around. he's got other things to focus on anyway. like not dying.

all that to say that when someone catches his attention (romantically, levi isn't going to sleep with someone he isn't romantically attracted to post that decision), they really catch his attention. once he's aware of feelings or is in a relationship, suddenly his hands are itching to touch. to be in their presence, take care of them, worship them, even.

all those things he's done previously sort of come back to him real easy, like riding a bike. and the libido will hit him like a tidal wave. now, he can ignore it because he's not a slave to his urges, especially when the person he holds affection for doesn't return his feelings or rather, is unaware of them. but they'll be there, simmering in the background.

he looks up at the sound of the door opening and the familiar voice of the traveler following suit, silver eyes flickering from her to the vase of flowers in his store front window. no, he wasn't a flowers kind of guy and had been gifted them by some lady named donna. still, he wasn't going to be an asshole and decline the nice gesture, so had accepted and placed them where they were now. levi leans against his counter and shrugs noncommittedly at the comment.

"i'm not," he replies, reaching out a hand to grab his cane. he walks over to the window and pulls out some of the prettier flowers that are still in full bloom. "but maybe you can appreciate these more than i can." levi pushes them towards her with his free hand and waits patiently for her to take them. "if you're ever looking for plants to gift me, i'll take anything that can be used in tea."
