      “No No it’s perfectly cool, hear me out!” Jack contested, hands splayed out in front of him as to make it seem he had reached a sense of enlightenment.

      “The guys are always talking about how the cookies in the cafeteria are ALWAYS sold out before any of them can try any of them.” Jack began with a leisurely pace across the dorm room now.

      “So I simply skipped math class, to dress up as one of the employees who brings the inventory for the lunch room in, because luckily one of them is a labrador, and I told the lunch ladies that the shipment was contaminated and I would take it back for testing. Boom! Free Cookies for the whole dorm!”

He happily goes over to the huge box in their dorm now, like a sore thumb, and pats it happily with a proud grin for a second, before melting into a rather bashful one.

       “I do have to admit…out loud it does sound kind of convoluted.”

Honestly?

Legoshi is not one bit surprised, not even a tiny bit. Not surprised that Jack came up with such a scheme nor surprised that Jack ended up being successful.

Was he mad? Nah, not really. 

Was he exasperated? A little bit, maybe. Was it kind? Yeah, at least towards their dormmates. Was it clever? Certainly. Was it well-thought-out?

...

Frankly, Legoshi couldn’t find it in him to be mad at Jack. This mad plot of his had been much purer than it otherwise could have been.

Plus.

Free cookies.

“Only you could come up with and pull off something like that,” said the wolf, simply choosing to accept that this had happened. “You know that, right? And... well, at least you got them for the guys, I guess...”

Never mind that his tail was wagging because free cookies.

The girl walked up as the hybrid of the Deer and Reindeer grabbed his wrist and saw the blood and wound. Her touch was warm  “Nope, you’re not and if you don’t get this clean and disinfected, you’ll be in bad shape” she smiled “Hold on I got my things for this kind of stuff” she said. Danessa’s action weren’t out of announce or enjoyment, but she takes her job serious.

It took a surprising amount of strength to keep any signs of annoyance from showing. He didn’t have the mental space to pull his hand back from the girl before she grabbed it, as he hadn’t been expecting it. Her following words only got a small huff; the nurses at Cherryton had much the same attitude, so he just resigned himself to it. 

Plus, the quicker this got dealt with the better, so he wasn’t going to complain or fight back either.

“Alright,” he said with a one-shouldered shrug. “Do what you must, I guess.”

"Yes yes, just came by to bother you. That shop we went to before for sweets was amazing." A pretty much blatant 'you were right' is what this was.

Louis's smile turned into a slightly-smug grin. Even if indirectly, down inside he loved hearing that statement.
