“So?” Arm tilts his head back, finishing the rest of his drink, and asks, “How does it feel to be loved by Khun Vegas?”

Pete chuckles as he hears the question, "What do you mean?“ He asks as he takes a sip of his own drink.

"Pol pointed out how you seem to glow every time you visit us at the compound, and someone’s got to be a fool not to realize Khun Vegas is the reason you’re happier,” Arm chuckles. He says it easily after ordering himself a new drink.

“So answer the question, Pete,” Arm smirked, “how does it feel to be loved by Khun Vegas?”

There were a few beats of silence. Just the two of them sitting beside each other and swirling their half-finished drinks in their cups.

“Being loved by Vegas feels like heaven,” Pete says after carefully thinking about it. “It’s the type of love that feels surreal. It’s satisfying, raw, powerful, and overwhelming all at once.”

"Being loved by Vegas feels like you’re falling from the top of the world and waiting for the moment you’ll drop to the ground, but then it never happens.” Pete continues, “It’s the way you’re constantly feeling the fear of him realizing you’re not worth anything, but then he does and says things that prove you wrong, and he tells you how important, priceless, and loved you are, and all you can do is cry because for someone who’s never felt genuine love, Vegas loves it like it’s all he has to offer.”

Pete takes a deep breath in, looking down at his drink, “For someone who’s never felt genuine love, Vegas loves like you’re the most important person in the whole entire world, and he’ll do everything to prove that,” he says.

"It’s surreal to be loved by Vegas because he’ll see your flaws, scars, blemishes, and insecurities—everything that makes you, you—and love you even more than he did before because seeing all of the things that differentiate you from everyone is a blessing to him. He’ll make you fall in love with yourself, and he’ll be there every step of the way.” The former bodyguard chuckles lightly, “When you forget your worth, he’ll be there to remind you how unique you are and how everything about you is deserving of love and adoration,” Pete continues, smiling down. “It’s the way he notices the smallest, almost imperceptible details about you and tells you how it’s another part of you that deserves love.”

“So yes, being loved by Vegas probably seems crazy to an outsider, but it’s something I wouldn’t trade for anything,” Pete admits bravely, “because being loved by Vegas is overwhelming in the best of ways.”

Arm couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow after everything his friend had said. He expected a serious answer but everything Pete just said didn’t come close to what he was expecting.

“Wow,” he exclaims, “and you guys tease me about how much I care about Pol.” Arm shakes his head and clicks his tongue.

Pete snorts, “Not gonna lie, you are absolutely in love with Pol.” He chuckles, “It’s actually fun to watch.” After finishing his drink, Pete adds.

Arm gawks at him, “Like you didn’t just recite a whole speech about how amazing it was to be loved by Khun Vegas.”

And Pete actually blushes.

“You can’t tell him anything I just said!” Pete exclaims, “He’ll never live it down.”

“Oh, I don’t have to tell him anything,” Arm shrugs. “He’s been sitting behind you for a while now.”

“For fuck’s sake, Arm!” Pete ran a hand across his face as he felt his ears burn up. “Why didn’t you tell me?” Pete swirls around and sees his boyfriend smiling like a Cheshire cat, a wine glass in his hands, as he stands up to get closer to the former bodyguard.

“I love you too, darling.” Vegas mumbles as he places a kiss on Pete’s dimple.

Pete groaned loudly before gently pushing Vegas away, saying, “Not a word, Vegas, or you’re sleeping on the couch tonight.”

Vegas fondly rolls his eyes before settling them on Arm, “If you don’t mind, I’m taking him away now since my little brother’s summoning us to come home,” He explains to the other.

“Oh no worries, Khun Vegas,” Arm shakes his head, “Good to see you again buddy, we missed you,” he says to Pete with a gentle smile.

Pete’s heart swelled at that. “I missed you guys too, come visit me sometime.”

“We will.”
