The Loyal Pin - Episode 1

I'm putting my tiny 7" Chromebook to work on my teeny travels this week because The Loyal Pin just premiered and boy, oh, boy, did Idol Factory really give me color-coded girls in love!

Pin is a caring Pink Person.

And Anin is an intelligent Blue Beauty.

Anin's brothers are also color-coded dark blue (maybe black, but my Chromebook won't allow me to know) and red.

But this ain't about them.

No! This is about my color-coded girls in love!

Pink Person Pin is kind and sheltered.

While Blue Beauty Anin is mischievous and rowdy.

And they have been this way since they were kids.

When Anin was climbing trees, Pin was on the ground yelling at her to come down.

But Anin has always been there for PIn, since day one.

So even though Anin tries to break the rules all of the time

LIke eating desserts when she shouldn't

Or sneaking out at all hours of the day

All so she can play color-coded darts with her favorite girl

Or eat color-coded cotton candy with her,

Anin always wants to be right beside Pin even when being punished.

And even though it's clear that Pin would like to always be by Anin's side since she has held onto Anin's blue hair ribbon, blue pinwheel, and blue embroidered clothed safely hidden in glass jars and under her pillow,

She is her (adopted) mother's child.

Pin isn't blue like Anin, so she feels indebted to the woman who took her in and raised her when she lost her parents.

And she gets her color from her.

However, her mother's is deeper, bolder, and harsher than Pin's light and soft pink.

So even though it's clear who has Pin's heart, this is a story of who has Pin's loyalty.

It's a story about The Loyal Pin!

Hey everyone! So, if you haven't given The Loyal Pin a chance yet please do. Even if you don't usually watch Asian lesbian series (which why would you exclude shows from an entire region of the world?) this series is in many ways different and important.

It is based on an important novel depicting a lesbian romance, it has a big budget, it is backed by the actual ministry of culture of Thailand because Gap brought attention and money to the country. They will continue to invest in us if we support them. Not to mention it's a cool lesbian love story. Win win.
