i also figured out this little hand thing if any other birdkin wanna try it! i wanted to stim by tapping my desk like i’ve seen cockatoos do and realized i could mimic the kind of toe shape they have. obviously you could alter it for different species!

I think that this is the first animation I’ve ever actually finished! Usually I get bored after the first few hours, but I guess the built up energy after not drawing her for a month finally exploded. I’ve learned a lot and actually had fun, maybe I’ll animate more often!

But how do FlipaClip animators ever get anything done?? Animating is hard enough without an app that hates you. Anyways. Warrior cats.

i’ve been doing some more thinking and i realized when i wear my dark grey tights it looks like i have birdy legs :0 i could also sew myself a pointy black covid mask to look like a beak, and maybe i could also wear a hair accessory to feel like i have a crest? maybe a bow or a bandana,,

i also really want to grow out my nails so they’re nice and pointy :> i just gotta figure out how to grow them in a healthy way

i could even figure out a way to have some kind of tail accessory,, i’ve yet to see too much about gear for birdkin since it’s usually tails/ears/etc for canine and feline kin (NOT HATING AT ALL maybe i’m just a little jealous lmao /lh)

all im saying is my life would be 50% better if i had crest feathers i could fluff up when im excited i think it would help a lot

incredibly rude that I am currently physically incapable of doing that poof-up-and-ruffle-feathers things. i think that would fix me. just one full-body feather wiggle.

Carolina parakeet Was looking at pictures of extinct birds yesterday and then started to picture myself as one briefly and I still feel it a bit today. They were the parrot with the northernmost range and therefore were sometimes snow parrots! Native to the southeastern United States, they even lived in my state of Kansas. I feel a connection to them and I love them a lot and it was fun drawing this! The tree is supposed to be a beech tree, since this is a tree they enjoyed eating the seeds from. They were also cavity nesters, this one found an old abandoned woodpecker cavity to keep warm in during an unexpected snowfall!
