Oh God. You stood there, frozen in place for you don't even know exactly how long. You could not believe what had just happened. It had already been intense watching Cady and Regina argue, but to then see her be hit by the bus? You felt like your life flashed before you and you weren't even the one the got hit.
You'd considered Regina one of your friends; you weren't a plastic by any means but you had always been there to help her out. Even having done a few class projects with her. Well- more like you did the work and she just sat there and looked pretty.
You weren't ready to see her get hid by a bus. So you were floored. It took you longer than it should have for you to get yourself together and run over. You should have acted faster," oh my God, Regina!!" You yelled. Coming to a stop next to her, she was completely unconscious and looked almost unrecognizable. People were freaking out, Janis and Cady had run over and stood next to you. Looking at Regina.
"I'm gonna be sick." Cady muttered the same time Janis said,
"Jesus fuck. She's looked better."
You shot a glare at Janis and immediately dialled 911," hang in there, Regina." You whispered. You explained what had happened to the lady on the other end of the call and she sent over an ambulance.
When the ambulance arrived, you managed to convince them to let you to ride and the back. Wanting to be there for Regina and make sure she would be okay, you doubted she would wake up. But if the off chance she did when you were there, well- you figured it might be nice for her to have someone by her side.
You stayed with her for as long as you could, your parents picked you up when visiting hours were over.
By the time Regina was awake, the hospital gave you a call. Since you had asked Regina's nurse if they could reach out to you, explaining that you were a close friend (even though you knew you weren't super close). You still wanted to have updates on how she was doing regardless.
After convincing your parents to take you, you got to the hospital and rushed to Regina's room. Practically bursting the door open and smiling when you saw the blonde, she looked better. Despite the neck collar," Regina!"
"Huh?" She glanced at you, a little confused when she saw you and the pain meds weren't helping at all." Y/N?"
"Hi, Regina." Your voice was soft as you walked over and sat by her side, taking in the familiar setting of the hospital room. Only this time there were more flowers and gifts by her beside and windowsill; you felt bad not bringing anything, but you just desperately wanted to see her.
"Why you here?" She wasn't completely coherent but it's not like she was impossible to understand either. You gave her a gentle smile.
"Wanted to check on you, see how you're doing. Pain meds hitting you hard?" You asked.
She gave you a dopey grin as she leaned a little closer, not able to bend much though with the brace." I'm soooooo high!" She whispered as she giggled.
You bursted out laughing, having not expected her to respond like that. In a way it was like she was just really high," I can see that."
She seemed to just stare at you for a long moment, thinking about something and with the meds she had it made it even harder to read her. Normally you could kind of tell.
"You are like... pretty," Regina said. Catching you entirely off guard. Did she really just say that? You chose not to believe it.
"I'm sure that's just the meds, Regina." You gave her hand a gentle pat and she shook her head. Well, as best as she could before wincing. Her wince made you grimace.
"No, I'm so serious. Always thought it," That made your eyes widen. Had she really always thought that? You fidgeted with her fingers, not wanting to think too much on it on the high chance it was just her pain meds. Little to your knowledge, they were making her incredibly truthful and she meant every word she'd told you.
Throughout the next week, you continued helping Regina. Doing whatever she needed. When she was finally okay enough to be home and off the meds, you were still there for her. Knowing she couldn't do a whole lot with her corrective neck collar still on.
"Hey, Y/N?" She said to you as you walked over with a cup of water for her.
"Yes, Gina?" You replied. The two of you had gotten even closer since you'd been helping her a lot. She actually genuinely liked you, too.
"Why haven't you left?"
The question caught you off guard; 'left'? You didn't quite understand what she meant by that. You sat on the edge of her bed, fixing her blanket for her so it was back over her chest before looking in her eyes. "Left?" You questioned.
"I'm a bitch. And you're definitely not my servant. You don't have to be here." She elaborated.
"Maybe not, but I want to be. You can be a pretty cool person and you've never really been bitchy to me." You paused and sighed, your own question on the tip of your tongue. Part of you was scared to ask, Regina could be unpredictable." Hey... when you were under pain meds-"
"Oh no." She cringed, she didn't know what you were going to say but she was almost sure she didn't want to know. Regina's sure she said a lot of questionable things and was worried about any secrets she may have revealed.
"It's not bad- at least, I don't think it is. But you called me pretty? And said you always thought it?"
"Well..." Regina trailed off, almost hesitant to admit this. But why was she hesitating? She gets what she wants and there was no way you didn't want her. No, that's not... she sighed. She needs to change. She nearly just lost everything, but still. She might as well admit it, not like she had much more to lose right now." Yeah. I have."
You were floored. She really meant it? You had chalked up all the times she'd flirted while you on the medication as just that. The medication. Apparently, there'd been some truth behind it all. You swallowed, but a smile crept on your lips and you felt a sense of relief so strong that you almost cried. Normally you weren't this emotional, but you'd been trying to hold in all your emotions over the situation. It was weighing on you way more than you let on and your mind could only handle so much weight. You took her hand in hers and she seemed to be concerned.
"Why are you crying?" She asked, her tone was the softest you'd ever heard it. Almost like she was trying to make an effort in changing.
"I'm just- relieved. I guess and I've been trying to keep all my emotions in and I just- can't anymore." You rambled out, your free hand moving as you spoke. Regina frowned and carefully moved her hand to your cheek, wiping away the tears.
"Even when you cry you're beautiful." She murmured. This was not the same person before the bus accident and that was becoming beyond obvious. Little did you know, it wasn't just the incident that made her want to change but you had too. She wanted to be better if it meant she got a shot with you.
You tried saying something but no words seemed to come out and you just cried. Regina hadn't realized just how much all this really effected you, she made a mental note to make it up to you when both of you were in better head spaces.

Added to a fic Iâm writing on my phone in my notebook in the dark because I didnât have my phone and my brain would shut off went surprisingly well last night lmaoo maybe new content soon but I guess enjoy this sneak peek for now
if a teenager is at your door and they are wearing a costume!! please give them candy!! they are still in it for the halloween spirit and it honestly no different from a little kid in a costume. they are just as excited and happy as all the other lil tykes and dont you dare tell them they are âtoo old for trick-or-treatingâ because that will literally break their hearts and thatâs not cool.
me as a writer: Oh no I canât write that, somebody else already has
me as a reader: hell yes give me all the fics about this one scenario. The more the merrier

Heyy! I absolutly loe your age Regression fics, Can I request age Regression Regina, she's been regressing ever since the bus incident and only the plastics know. But Her mask slips and Janis finally sees it?
Save me(Iâm fine)
Janis âImiâike x Regina George
Warnings: age regression, mentions to Regina getting hit by a bus, chronic pain
Regina goes back to the last time sheâs ever felt genuine care and love from the one she misses the most
âDonât wanna be lonely. Just wanna be yours.â

Regina George never asked for help. Why would she do that? She didnât need helpâ she could handle herself. UntilâŠshe got hit by a bus and cold weather makes her curl up into a ball and cry from the pain in her back. Yep, the one and only, Regina George, North Shore Highâs royalty has chronic pain now. She calls it her karma. For treating people like shit. Now the universe has had enough and was letting her suffer, for the rest of her life.
Itâs been four months since the accident, give or take. Sheâs spent about half the time dealing with flare ups and the other half being in a constant baseline pain. Somewhere would always hurt. It affected her quality of life despite medications being available. She learnt not to rely on it, but also because regular ones barely took the edge off while the stronger one caused her to be too unlike herself. SoâŠwhat did she do? The blonde eventually realised her actions fit the coping mechanism of age regression. The first time it happened, she had no idea why she was acting the way she did. But she came across some information online that caused her to piece the puzzle together. So she kept doing that, she regresses when the pain gets bad, to help herself get through that period of time. No one knew, of course. Regina hid it. She kept it subtle too, as much as she wanted to, she didnât get anything the little part of her wished to have.
Maybe just watching an episode of her favourite cartoon as a kid, eating her favourite childhood snack while sitting in her bed, snuggled under a fuzzy blanket with her childhood stuffed animal. Only behind the closed doors of her bedroom.
But then everything changed two months ago, Regina had slipped into that headspace while hanging out with Gretchen because sheâd been on the verge of doing so all week then her Mom burst into the room and asked her a hundred and one questions, causing her to become overwhelmed and shoved into regression involuntarily. Gretchen noticed the shift in her demeanour and urged June to leave the room. As unwilling as she was, the older woman left and Gretchen swiftly shut the door. She even locked it.
âReginaâŠwhatâs the matter?â Gretchen asked hesitantly.
Regina looks back at the girl, eyes glossy as her lips quivered. She bit onto her lower lip, fingers playing with a corner of a decorative cushion in her hands.
âI donât know.â The blonde sobbed, âI feel weird.â
Slowly, the two friends worked through this new and unfamiliar situation. Gretchen kept an eye on her, letting her do what she wanted. But she always did some quick research on her phone and came to the conclusion that Reginaâs behaviour was what she suspected it to be. Age regression. Regina likely regressed to the age of a middle schooler so she could communicate pretty damn well. But Gretchen was just a little shocked that she felt safe enough to slip into the headspace, and even stayed in that headspaceâ playing games on her iPad, hugging a stuffed bunny and having a fuzzy blanket laid on her lap.
Gretchen has never seen this from Regina since she was actually in middle school. They became friends soon after the blondeâs falling out with Janis. Then Karen came into the picture, too.
âRegina? Do you want to eat anything? You havenât had lunch yet?â
âIâm not hungry.â
âYour stomach just grumbled.â Gretchen said back quietly.
âNot hungry, Gretchen.â
~~~~~
Instance number two: Karen finds out two weeks later at their usual sleepover after Regina had long and tiring shifts at work consecutively for four days. Gretchen let Regina be, knowing what to expect and knowing that it was a safe and necessary thing for Regina to do that and relaxâŠfeel better. Karen was curious, and confused, but her question sets Regina off. Regina burst into tears, âWhy are you so mean to me?! I just want to play my games,â
âKaren, umâ hang on a minute.â Gretchen sighs, âG, itâs okay. Itâs okay, sheâs just curious. You donât need to talk if you donât feel like it, honey.â
Regina nodded tearfully, trying not to cry more. She blinks profusely, trying to get rid of the tears but they still fell. Gretchen hurriedly handed the girl some tissues and calmed her down. Karen watched the whole thing unfold, curiosity growing.
âYouâre okay. Iâve got you. Okay? Just play your games, honey.â
When Gretchen sees that Regina was once again engrossed in her iPad, she excuses herself from the room with Karenâ into the closet. To talk. It took Gretchen a little while to explain that so that Karen would actually understand. But ultimately, Karen couldnât care less about it. She knew Regina could do whatever she wanted to do, whatever she needed to do. Regina was in a hell lot of pain. They knew she had to do something to feel better, and were just glad it was this. A coping mechanism that was safeâŠharmless.
ââââ
âCan you call Jan?â Regina looked away from the TV.
Gretchen gulped.
JanâŠlike, Janis?
âYou want meâŠto call, Janis?â Gretchen asked for clarification.
âYes.â Regina confirmed, âPlease?â
âOkay. Iâllâ Iâll go do that. One sec.â
Gretchen walks into the closet with her phone, sitting down on a stool. She scrolled through her contacts, thumb hovering over Janisâ contact. She clicks on it, the line rings as she holds her phone to her ear.
âGretchen?â The other girl asked, âIs everything okay?â
âSorry to bother you, I know Iâm one of the last people youâll be expecting a call from but Iâm fine, Regina? Not so much.â Gretchen replied.
âWhatâsâŠwhatâs going on?â Janis asked, clearly hesitant.
âShe asked me to call you.â Gretchen revealed.
âFor what?â Janis was puzzled.
âEver since she got home from the hospital, sheâs been dealing with a lot of pain and lately, sheâs been using age regression as a way for her to cope.â
âSoâŠâ
âSheâs regressed right now, and she asked for you. I assume sheâs like 9? Or 10? She doesnât remember what happened between you two.â
âYou want me there?â
âShe wants you here, I wouldnât be asking you if isnât going to burst into tears when I tell her no.â
âAlright, fine.â Janis sighed, defeated, âIâm on my way.â
âWeâre at her house.â
âBye.â Janis replied curtly and hung up.
Gretchen returned to Reginaâs room, seeing that she and Karen were both laughing away at a comedy movie. Theyâve never really gotten along like this, which was a peculiar sight for Gretchen, but she preferred it this way. No snarky comments and suchâŠthough, those have died away once Regina got out of the hospital. She wasnât one of many words now.
âI called her for you.â Gretchen smiled. Their gazes met, Regina says, âCool. Thanks Gretchen!â
Janis pulled up in their driveway about thirty minutes later, Gretchen sees the artist walking up to the porch so she ran downstairs to the foyer to greet her, trying to spare Janis from a possibly unwanted and stressful interaction with June. Gretchen wound up opening the front door before Janis could even knock of press the doorbell. Janis jumped, startled. âHey.â She muttered.
âHi.â Gretchen flashes a kind smile, âI think you two should talk.â They walk up the staircase together, Janis was taking in this environment again. One that was once so familiarâŠlike a second home, now felt like a new city sheâs never been before. The shorter girl feels a tug in her heart as a wave of sadness washed over her. So much had changed, but her heart still knew this place like the back of her own hand. With her hands in her pockets, Gretchen opened up Reginaâs bedroom door. âAlright, sheâs here. Karen, letâs go downstairs and get some snacks for the next movie, let these two chat for a bit.â Gretchen instructed.
âOoh, okay.â Karen nodded eagerly, getting out of the bed, âHi, Janis! I like the new hair colour.â
âThanks, Karen.â Janis gave the girl a polite smile as she passed her by. Gretchen gives Janis a squeeze on the shoulder.
âHey, Reg.â Janis walked closer, hands still shoved into her pockets. God, her heart was hammering in her chest, and she felt sick to her stomach.
âHi, jelly bean.â Regina guffaws, waving.
Shit. That nickname. Gretchen wasnât kidding.
Janis bites back tears as she stood next to her bed, skin touching the fabric. A chuckle falls from her lips.
âI missed you.â Regina started, âHavenât seen you in a bit.â
That was not exactly what the blonde meant given her state of mind, but for Janis, her heart started to shatter all over again. Itâs been six yearsâŠsix years since she had been this close to someone she called her best friend. Someone she loved, and cared about. Someone who knew her beyond the mask, someone who knew her favourite colour of Goldfish crackers, who knew how her eyes looked like little crescents because sheâd be smiling so hard, who knew she started to have this lingering pain in her side when she sneezed, who knew she hated how her Mom made fun of her for her looks and weight, who knew the darkest side of her, and never left. Until she did. Regina left. Regina, who once pinky swore theyâd be friends forever, broke the promise and her heart into unmendable pieces. TinyâŠtiny little pieces that were never picked up ever again, causing a wall to build up and around it.
âWhy are you crying?â Regina asked innocently, eyes worried.
Janis shook her head, forcing a smile.
âSit down with me.â Regina reached out to grab her hand, the all too familiar warmth and touch of this girl sent shocks down her spine. Janis was happy this was happening. Sheâs missed Regina. This Reginaâ the one she knew, and loved, and cherished so very much. Not the one she knew after that kiss.
âOkay.â Janis croaked, sniffling and carefully sitting down on the soft, silk sheet covered mattress.
âI must have done something wrong, Jan.â Regina started, âI havenât seen you in such a long time. Iâm sorry if I did something wrong.â
How could she answer that question? Really, how? Regina knew something was wrong, just not what was wrong. This version of Regina had no hostility towards her. This version of Regina was her Regina.
âNothing. You did nothing wrong that we canât fix.â Janis spoke up after a moment of silence.
Janis knew in her heart she wanted to talk to her someday, she just did not expect the conversation to start this way. After the past few years of consistent therapy sessions, Janis had wrapped her head around the reason why Regina called her names. Regina was afraid, having to accept that she herself was gay tooâ that the feeling was mutual. She didnât know how to be okay with that. No one around her was okay with that. Janis knew Reginaâs Mom wasâŠhomophobic. But when things went down and when she was the target of the horrendous situation, nothing else mattered but surviving. Nothing else mattered but standing up for herself instead of standing out and taking the humiliation. Janis was proud to be who she wasâŠa hot lesbian. But seriouslyâ A Hawaiian artist, a loving daughter and a loyal friend.
Regina was then shaking her head as though to get rid of some thoughts. Then Janis sees her blinking profusely. Then a gasp, âI hurt you. I hurt you. My best friend. Because â because I scared myself. You didnât deserve that.â
The vulnerability of it all let Janis know that the girl before her was still regressed. Just no longer in the headspace of nine or ten years old.
âIâm sorry, Janis. Iâm so sorry. Please. Iâm sorry.â Regina hiccuped, âIâm sorry, will you forgive me?â
Janis got what she wanted all this time. An apologyâ a sincere apology. And this was just that. A tear rolled down Janisâ cheek,she nodded, âWeâre fine.â
Regina leaned forward to engulf the brunette into a hug, âThank you. Oh my god, thank you.â
The dam breaks, Janis let herself cry as she rubbed the taller girlâs back, âThatâs all I ever wanted to hear.â
ââââ
A few minutes later, Gretchen came back upstairs with Karen bearing a snack platterâ strawberries, M&Mâs and Colors Goldfish crackers. Regina immediately picked out Janisâ favourite one and gave it to her. Janis laughs tearfully, âThanks, Reggie.â
Regina grins, âYouâre welcome, jelly bean.â
âAw.â Gretchen remarked softly. âSoâŠG, you wanna pick out what movie weâre going to watch next?â
âMhm.â Regina nodded, glancing at Janis, âBolt. Her favourite movie.â
âThatâs a good one.â Gretchen put the movie on, settling back down on the bed.
âI love that movie! The dogâs so cute.â Karen quipped.
âI know, right?â Regina agreed.
Janis stayed until the movie ended, then told them sheâd be going. âNoooo.â Regina gasped, âCan you stay a little longer?â
âUm, Gâ sheâs busy.â Gretchen intervened.
Janis froze in her tracks, looking at all three of them one by one. âOne more movie?â Regina requested.
Janis inhaled deeply, âOkay, one more movie. Then I gotta head home, Reg.â
âAlright.â Regina agreed to that, âJust one more movie.â
âDo you wanna stay for dinner?â Gretchen asked, âJuneâs going out in a bit for the night. So itâs just going to be us. Weâre calling for takeout.â
âI really have to get home in time for dinner later. I promised my dad I would be home to eat dinner with him.â Janis explained, âMaybe next time?â
Gretchen nodded in understanding, âThatâs okay. We get it. Also, Regina, time to take another pill.â
âUgh, I hate it.â Regina grumbled.
Janis looked at the girls playfully, âTake it and Iâll come by again tomorrow.â
Karen laughs, Gretchen wasâŠimpressed. She was glad they worked it out and could be around each other again. Gretchen could only hope Regina would remember that theyâd worked things out after getting out of the headspace. Regina took her next dose of the meds while Gretchen and Karen looked through a food delivery app so they could order dinner. Janis just sat there, but for onceâ she felt comfortable in their presence.
While watching the movie, Janis felt a hand on her thigh. It was Regina. Janis wanted to move at first so the hand would fall off her leg. But she didnât, since the other girl didnât seem like she wanted to take her hand off. So, she just let it happen. What really caught her off guard was towards the end of the movie, Regina had nodded offâ her head was now resting on Janisâ shoulder instead of Gretchen who was sitting on her other side.
âGretchen.â Janis said through gritted teeth, âSheâs asleep. I should get going.â
âYeah. Of course.â Gretchen noticed how Regina was basically snuggled up against Janis. She wraps her arms around the blonde carefully, allowing Janis to get out of her spot. Janis quickly left after saying good night to them and drove home right on time for dinner with her Dad like sheâd promised.
Honestly, today was a lot to process. From Gretchenâs phone call to Regina falling asleep on her shoulder like old times. Was this really it? It was so much easier than she pictured it to be in her head. Way too easy. But maybe sometimes, things get to where they need to be, in completely unexpected ways. And it doesnât have to be hard. Sure it was an absolute shock, but she got through that. She got through much worse. Janis was proud of how she handled everything todayâ she did her best. And took risks. Maybe life wasnât all bad, a little bit of kindness could go a long way. Was she finally getting her best friend back? Janis didnât know for sure, but she had something she didnât have for awhile: hope.
âAh sorry Iâm just dumbâ (having ADHD my whole life has meant that Iâve been criticised heavily for making mistakes that come part and parcel with the condition. Even the people I love most in the world have chastised me for mistakes that I spend much of my life worrying about and trying to avoid. Itâs much easier to tell you Iâm just a silly guy than explain to you that no matter how much effort, how much thought, how much stress I put into avoiding these same mistakes, I will keep making them over and over again. My brain is structurally built to thwart me throughout it all.)
Pinky promise
Jos Cleary-Lopez x fem! reader
Warnings: age regression, angst w/ fluffy ending, crying, temper tantrums
âPinky promise?â
âPinky promise.â
You were lucky you didnât have to deal with this until today. Maybe not lucky, maybe youâve done a pretty good job forcing yourself to believe that you could keep it together every time. Today, youâve finally reached your breaking point. After unintentionally slipping into regression in one of your last few classes of the day, you couldnât pay attention. As a result, your teacher was very unhappy about it and asked to talk to you after class had ended.
You asked for permission to use the bathroom, and took your phone with you.
âWill be late.â You sent a voice note to Jos, âNeed to talk to Wade.â
âIâll meet you there, baby.â She replied, knowing that something had happened since you never sent her voice notes usually. Youâd typically only do this when regressed for easier communicationâ sheâd re-taught you how to do that while you were regressed so you knew what to do if you needed her. This was also one of the ways to let her know you were regressed.
When the final bell of the day went off, students filtered out from the classroom. You sat at your desk waiting for most of them to be outside already before you walked up to the front of the room where Mrs. Wade sat. You were clutching onto the strap of your backpack for dear life, ridiculously anxious and feeling like you could cry any moment.
The door creaked open, Josâ head poked in the door, âHi, Iâm here for y/n.â
âI only asked to talk to her.â
âIâm aware, Mrs. Wade. But I think itâd be better if Iâm present.â
Wadeâs brows were raised, confused, but she allowed it. ây/n, I need to know why youâve been becoming less and less attentive and participative in my classes lately. At first I thought it was just a long day, but itâs becoming more frequent, I canât keep excusing that.â
Jos could tell the teacher was more concerned than angry, but you were already overwhelmed and also struggling to understand the question.
ââM sorry, I donât mean to do that.â You managed.
âIs everything okay at home? Because Iâve been hearing very similar things from your other teachers. Or are kids here bullying you?â
You felt that lump in your throat, and tears were brimming in your eyes. Jos stepped forward, âUm, have you been notified by the school about her age regression?â
The teacher looked surprised. âIâ have not. Is that what this is? She has documents with the school, does she not? Iâm so sorry, I wasnât aware.â
âJust yesterday, our math teacher called her stupid in front of the class because of this. Obviously that did not go well. Youâve actually been the most calm teacher of hers Iâve seen when itâs been brought up.â
âSoâŠthe schoolâs been giving her, and you, problems?â Wadeâs gaze softens watching you fiddling with the strap of your backpack and picking at the skin of your thumb.
âWell, the school knows. Itâs more so the teachers that add onto the problem.â Jos answered, grabbing ahold of your hand so you would stop.
âI want to make sure my students feel safe here. They may need to be here to study but I donât want to just be here to teach. What can I do?â
âIf it happens in your class, sheâll likely asked to be excused so she can use the bathroom. Because she needs to inform me, Iâm her caregiver. She isnât too independent when in the headspace. Neither does she have the ability to be doing schoolwork of this level. So, I usually sign her out and take her home until it passes. I catch her up on any missed schoolwork and assignments, though, of course.â
âYouâve talked to her other teachers before, you said?â
Jos nodded.
âIâll talk to them again for you about it. Itâs not right if they make things worse for her by reprimanding her or, worse, humiliating her in front of other students. When sheâs in my class, donât worry about itâ Iâll let her do what she has to do to reach you. She isnât the first student of mine who deals with this so I made sure I went to learn more about it.â
âAlright.â Jos nods, giving the older woman a tight-lipped smile, âWeâd really appreciate that, thank you.â
Wade smiled in understanding, âIâll let you girls get on your way. Bye-bye.â With that, Jos took you by the hand and left the classroom. She wanted to take a left and go for the exit, but you yanked her to the rightâ towards the bathroom. âHey, whatâs wrong?â
You sprinted for the bathroom and before she could even process what was happening, you were throwing up into the toilet. Fuck. Were you unwell or was this because of the sheer anxiety you felt when Wade singled you out to ask to talk to you?
ââââ
It was from the anxiety. Jos made sure you were okay and not sick before she allowed you to do whatever you wanted to doâ no fever or signs of infection whatsoever. âYou feel better?â
You nodded wordlessly, still picking at the broken skin on your thumb. âHey.â She coaxed, âLet go of that, cariño.â
You bit your lip, annoyed by that request. âBaby, itâs gonna hurt if you keep doing that.â Jos continued. You huffed, scurrying to the middle of her bed and wrapping yourself under the covers. Stubborn, thatâs what you were. She was too, and honestly she found it amusing. âYouâre gonna ignore me, arenât you?â
âNo.â You pouted while facing away from her. She sat down on the floor on that side of the bed just to talk to you. âNap time?â
You shook your head. âOkay.â She replied. âWhat do you wanna do?â Jos asks, stroking your cheek. âNothing.â You said back with a soft sigh.
âAlright.â Jos smiled softly at you, âDo you want anything? A snack? Juice?â
âNo.â You answered shakily.
âHey, youâre safe with me, sweetheart.â She brushes a fallen tear away. âYouâre safe with me.â
You could only manage a nod as you swallowed the tears. Your emotions were still running pretty high, but you were doing better now that you were in way more familiar environment. You didnât want to cry anymore, you were tired of that.
âSnuggles?â She suggested. You agreed, nodding your head, lips tugging into a little smile.
Jos climbed into bed with you, settling herself right next to you. âHi.â She chuckles, brushing the stray hairs out of your eyes. You slowly snuggled up against her, face smushed up against her chest. Sniffling, you allowed yourself to start relaxing at last, your pointer finger tracing the ribbed pattern on her top mindlessly. Your eyesâŠfollowed your hand as it moved along on the fabric.
âMy tummy hurts.â You muttered.
âWorse? Or a little better than just now, baby?â
âBetter.â You told her, âBut owie.â
She shushed you, rubbing your back, âI know, I know, baby. Itâll be okay in awhile, alright?â
âI donât like itttt.â You wailed.
âI know, love. I hear you, Iâm sorry.â She continues, âYou wanna go do some drawing or colouring instead so youâreââ
âOkay.â You agreed tearfully. Giving you one final hug and a soft kiss on the head, she unwraps her arms from around you and stretched out her hand for you to grab. Now that you were sat up, she hands you a colouring book, a drawing block and crayons. She let you choose, she was just happy to be there and keep you company. Jos was pretty adamant to calm you down, knowing that you had The Power too and if you were too agitated, it could accidentally be triggered and you might hurt yourself.
You poured out all the crayons and grabbed the black crayon, hastily scribbling a mess on the first sheet of paper in the drawing block. Jos was initially slightly taken but let you safely release those feelings nonetheless. You needed it and that was clearâ so clear. Youâve never done this before, you were usually pretty easy to calm down. Today was an exception. Of course, Jos was worried. So worried. She couldnât think of what couldâve possibly triggered you to regress at school. And this much. You could barely form sentences.
While you were occupied with a task, Jos could typically leave for a minute to grab something to drink or a snack. But now, you were sobbing and practically screaming bloody murder. The drawing block and crayons were scattered all across her carpeted floor. She froze in her tracks, inhaling sharply as she processed everything in her head. Jos was clueless. But she knew you felt terrible for doing that, you were avoiding eye contact with her for dear life and trying to stop yourself from crying.
âHey.â She inched closer to you.
ââŠâm sorry.â You blubbered, sniffling as the snot dripped from your nose.
Jos wished you werenât crying. This sight was breaking her heart.
âThatâs okay, youâre having some big feelings and you need to get them out, right?â Jos collected herself, sitting down on the floor again then pulling you down onto her lap. âYouâre safe with me, little one.â She hands you the drawing block again, along with some crayons. âItâs okay, go ahead, baby.â
Jos places it in your lap as her hand holds onto a corner of it. You gingerly took a crayon from her and started to just colour random strokes on it, switching out the colours whenever you felt like it.
ââââ
âShould we get something to eat, cariño?â
You licked your lips and shook your head, eyes purposely focused on the paper intentionally. âMommy saysâŠâ You broke the silence, her ears perked up, âI should eat less.â Each word, you struggled to get them out as you recalled them.
Her hand was balled up into a fist thanks to the anger that rapidly spread throughout her body, accidentally zapping herself with The Power. She flinched and bit her lip. Oh, great. It was your Momâs doingâ again.
âDid you eat lunch?â Jos asked quietly. You shook your head, trying to ignore her.
She wanted to sigh, she was frustrated but not with you. Sheâd never be frustrated with you. âBaby, whatâd I tell you?â
âShe says I canâtââ You hiccuped, âI just wanted ice cream after dinner.â The crayon rolls out of your hand, Jos put down the drawing block on the floor, wrapping her arms around you from behind as her chin rested on your shoulder.
No wonder you were feeling so terribleâ you were hungry.
As she helped you up from the floor, you heard her family get home. âYou wanna come downstairs with me so we can make a quick bite to eat?â
âNo.â You mumbled.
âThatâs fine, let me put on a cartoon for you, hm? You wanna watching something while you wait for me to come back up? Iâll just be a few minutes.â
âOkay.â You agreed, she handed you your favourite stuffed animal to snuggle with in the meantime, only briefly leaving the room after putting on your favourite cartoon for you on her laptop.
âJos, youâre home.â Rob noticed, setting down his glass of water as he watched the pot on the stove.
âYeah, Iâve been home all afternoon. y/nâs up in my room and sheâll be staying the night.â
âDinner will be ready in a few minutes, she is of course more than welcome to join us.â
Jos took a peek at the dinner and decided it wasnât for you. âDonât take this the wrong way but I donât think that will be suitable for y/n tonight.â
âWhy would I take that the wrong way? As long as sheâs not starving herself, she can eat whatever she wants.â
Jos froze when she heard those words, holding onto a baking tray and a bag of chicken tenders from the freezer.
âWhat?â Margot appeared out of nowhereâ seemingly. âIs y/n okay?â
âNot really, no. Things are getting bad for her again, I think.â Jos admitted.
âLet her stay here. Do not let her go back home.â Margot says. Her parents saw you at your lowest, and have been extra protective of you. You had a second home hereâŠa way better one. âHowâs she doing today?â Margot chimed in again.
âUh, sheâs regressed.â Jos revealed. They already knew you used it as a coping mechanism. And theyâve been nothing short of supportive. âIn my room, finally got her to calm down and found out just why it was particularly bad today.â
Rob looked at her, curious. âShe was regressed in school. Wade talked to her because she naturally couldnât pay attention and luckily I was there, though she was really understanding about it and said sheâd talk to her teachers again for me. The anxiety from the conversation got so intense that she threw up, and sheâd been in a bad mood for the last few hours. Eventually, she let slip that her mom said she should eat less. And when I asked, she hadnât eaten much or maybe even anything today.â
âWhat?â Her parents exclaimed in sync.
Jos carried on with her task, âI know, Iâm furious. Okay, anyway, I promised her Iâll be right back in like, a few minutes so is it okay if we talk about this later after I get her down for bed?â
âSure, honey. Of course.â Margot agreed quickly. âIâll bring the food up when itâs done. Donât worry about it.â
Before heading back to her room, Jos grabs you a mini bag of pretzels from the pantry and a cup of milk. When she entered, you were laying on your stomach on her bed, watching cartoons like she saw you before. âHi, baby. Here is some milk in your favourite sippy cup and a little snack. I made you some chicken tenders, okay? Weâll eat together later when itâs done?â
âOkay.â You sniffled, nodding.
âAlright.â She smiled, sitting down next to you and helping you open the snack packaging.
âThank you.â You grinned, doing grabby hands before you got ahold of the little foil bag. Jos chuckled, âYouâre welcome.â Bending down to kiss you on the head. At least you were eating somethingâ food is food. It counts.
Jos laid down next to you, focusing her attention on the screen in front of her, and occasionally glancing at you. Things finally felt peaceful, Jos lets out a quiet sigh of relief as she felt your head leaning on her shoulder while you munched on the snack and drank your milk.
A little while later, Margot came in with a trayâ Josâ dinner and yours. âThanks, Mom.â You heard, but didnât look away from the laptop screen.
âSay thank you.â Jos nudged gently.
âItâs okay, honey. Just enjoy your dinner and the cartoons.â Margot interjected. While Jos had the garlic chicken and rice that her dad had made, you dug into your plate of chicken tenders â with a side of rice that either Margot or Rob decided to throw in, should you feel like having that too. Look, it didnât have all the food groups or anything, but at a time like this one, they just want you to be fed. They didnât want you to go hungry, unlike your own family.
âDâyou want me to feed you?â Jos grabbed her spoon and ate a spoonful. You only shook your head, grabbed your spoon as well and scooped some rice into your mouth.
âAlright, baby.â Jos smiled, relieved. Silence fell between you two once again, allowing you to immerse yourself in the cartoons while you ate so you werenât thinking about food, or whatever nasty things people remarked about.
Jos finished her dinner first while you took your time. She could only hope you werenât hesitating, but she also didnât want you to stuff yourself if you were already full. You didnât say anything but once you were done with eating, you clambered back up to a corner of her bed so she took that as a cue to clear the dishes. âIâll be right back.â She reminded before she took the tray and left. You just sat there, head rolled back against the headboard snuggling with your favourite stuffed animalâ at least your mind was no longer racing.
âIâm back.â Jos announced quietly as she swiftly walked over to her side of the bed and climbed under the covers with you. Instinctively, you put your head in her lap and she began to run her hand through your hair.
âI know todayâs been difficult, baby. A lot of big feelingsâŠbut I promise tomorrow will be better, okay?â
With your lips pouted, you held up your hand, pinky stuck out, âPromise?â
âPinky promise.â Jos nodded, hooking her pinky with you. âOh, heyâ you wanna see something cool?â
You nodded your head excitedly. She held her two hands above your face, close together but leaving a gap between her fingers on both hands. A little spark showed up, âYou see that?â
Your mouth hung slightly open as you gave her another nod. âThat is a superpower that protects us from the bad guys.â Jos chuckles, showing it to you again.
âThatâs cool.â You replied quietly.
âIt is, isnât it?â She says, putting her hands down. âWant me to teach you in the morning?â
âYeah.â You laughed.
Jos smiled down at you endearingly, âI will. Letâs just rest tonight, hm? Then we can go out tomorrow? You wanna go to the movies tomorrow?â
Your eyes lit up in excitement.
âYeah you do.â Jos lets out a breathy laugh, stroking your hair, âOkayâ you wanna finish this cartoon before we get ready for bed?â
âOkay.â You agreed, âI want to.â
âAlright, cariño.â She patted your head, you turned onto your side to continue watching the cartoon, wherever it was left off. âJust the one then weâre gonna brush our teeth, okay?â
âPromise.â You said back, she feels you nodding your head.
âPinky promise?â She asked playfully.
You answered, reaching back so she could hook her pinky with yours, âPinky promise.â
Please do not send me asks for donations
Here's why:
I have NO money to give you
I'm not a popular enough blog that I will give you any reach
I am a minor, and most of my followers are too
It makes me feel extremely guilty
Seeing pictures of injuries or hospitals etc are triggering for me (which are in most intro posts for this sort of thing)
They are always worded in a way that makes me feel like I am a murderer if I don't donate
It makes me feel uncomfortable
I said I don't want them, and my boundaries should be respected
I can't tell what is a bot and what isn't
I get a lot of spam from this. It is disappointing to see 10 new asks in my inbox just to be the same ask for donations over and over
Please, just respect the fact that I have said this.
Sulky Janis and her two (or one if you prefer) girlfriend(s) comforting her?? I think it'd be a cute fic but feel free to ignore this!
"Just hold me close"
Pairing: Regina x Cady x Janis
TW: Heavy Homophobia, Bullies, F slur, mentions of toxic relationships, Really shitty girls, language (lemme know if I missed any)
Summary: Janis has some classes to go to where she gets picked on. That plus the lousy day she ends up having makes her yearn for comfort from her two girlfriends.
A/n: Yes I agree this is such a cute request! I enjoyed writing it ty for the askk!! <3
Today had to be the worst day ever. It was muggy and foggy and it had been raining on and off all day.
Regina and Cady were at the house since they didn't have any classes, but Janis was on campus because she had 3 classes. Three long.. boring.. aggravating classes without her girlfriends.
It would have been such a good day, for instance, in her painting class they were to have a live model. She was looking forward to it all week.
She was so excited to finally be going but the light left her eyes as she saw three girls walk into the art building.
Chloe, Kayla, and Ava, three girls who definitely paid their way into the advanced art classes just to be with the artistic hot guys.
Chloe, a brunette with a grown out bob and a black eye every other day from various toxic relationships. Kayla had black short bangs to match her long silky hair, however her bangs were scary short and not in a cute way. Meanwhile Ava was the tallest, she had the horrible side part.
They hated Janis. They hated what she had, what she was capable of- Especially that she was a lesbian who was in a poly relationship.
Everything they did was to sabotage or poke at Janis.
They copied everything she did (horribly might I add), they even tried passing up her art as their own, to which they failed (miserably might I add).
So when Janis walked into the room, it was hard not to show her disappointment.
Sliding into her seat across the room, she tried to minimize any eye contact with them as possible, but they definitely noticed her.
With a sly grin Ava stood up, her height already surpassing all the boys, Chloe and Kayla following her.
their gum chewing got louder and louder as they got closer. their cheap small tops rubbing uncomfortably against their arms. Their jeans were pulled up so high it just had to be suffocating.
Janis tried to ignore them as she set up her supplies for the painting lesson today, but they loomed over her waiting for any bit of recognition, which she folded to buy giving them a slight look.
"Guys look!" Ava laughed with a unnatural high voice, her gum threatening to fly out her mouth, "It's the two-time art freak!"
"Bitch can't even chose one partner." Ava chimed in.
They all synchronized in fake laughter, a high pitch that made everyone's ears bleed. Much like seagulls if you ask me.
"Art freak and a lesbian? Pick your poison gosh!" Kayla laughed slyly.
"Hey Josh! Joshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, isn't she pathetic~~" Chloe sticked her non-existent ass in the air as if it was going to attract Josh.
"sure." Josh replied, he was so obviously gay Janis just had to sigh.
The period started, and everyone was instructed to come to the front of the class to grab supplies for their project.
Janis got up making her way up to the front when they cut infront of her, making her stumble slightly.
"Watch where you're going fag, your going to step on my shoes" Kayla rolled her eyes, eyeing down Janis's attire.
Janis was wearing Cady's flannel shirt and Regina's sweats, covered by her own hoodie that she made.
She got nervous, she was just trying to be comfortable, and she genuinely thought it was a good outfit. She was carrying her girlfriends where she went while she was away, it meant something to her.
They stood directly in front of her in line as they shit talked her.
She tried to tune them out as best as she could, occasionally insults like "whore," "girl pig," found its way to her ears.
She wanted to say something, she wanted to cuss them out but she decided to just try and calm down by fidgeting with a toy she brought in her pocket.
"You know I heard her girlfriends date her out of pity, since she made such a huge deal!"
"Gosh I dunno why such pretty girls would date down, they could bag anyone they want yet they chose a ugly hoe."
"i'm surprised such pretty girls are lesbos." Chloe sighed, "wasting their lives, such pretty children they could have had,.."
Janis exhaled heavily just 30 more minutes of this she had to remind herself.
"They're pretty yeah but they're so messed up. Like the blonde one, she's kinda big.. I heard her back is fucked up too." Ava gossiped.
"So I heard, the redhead is a egotistical nerd no?"
"You guys have no idea what your talking about."
"sorry what was that?" they tied their conversation to turn to Janis.
One thing Janis wasn't about to do was stand there as they spread rumors about her girlfriends.
"My girlfriends aren't messed up, they're perfectly fine and I love them for who they are!"
They stayed silent for a second before breaking into a fit of laughter.
"Oh my gosh what in the- that was soooo corny"
Their laughs synchronized again, making everyone in the room cover their ears.
"Don't talk to us again do you hear me? fucking slut." They strolled out of line after grabbing what they needed.
Janis was trying her hardest to not let it get to her, but her mind pondered on their words. How they just took it lightly, it made her blood boil.
The whole time the model came all that she could think about was how other people saw her relationship, the art freak, the egotistical nerd and 'the big girl with the messed up back.'
It hurt.
The day passed faster than ever, she was now in her last class before heading home and everything was looking up for her. She was trying to take her mind off of the events from earlier with her pottery class.
She was making a pot for Cady. It was so she could cook her signature Mac-n-cheese. It was exceptionally huge, as requested from Regina, (she loved the mac).
Janis made it in a special way, making sure to include the handles where Cady could rest the spoon on the side without too much trouble.
She was listening to her favorite band as she worked, the clay sliding through her hands effortlessly, adding to her amazing work.
She was so enamored by her music that she didn't notice Quill standing next to her.
He was a nobody. Literally, he had no special talent and he claimed to play football on some random international team. The only good thing about him was his toned arms and height, his personality was ass.
He was convinced that Janis liked him and was just playing hard to get. Even though Janis had been saying to him that she's a lesbian, he still persisted. Even though Janis said she was in a relationship with amazing girlfriends, he said it's okay because they could be his girlfriends too.
Quill pissed Janis off to say the least, and she definitely didn't need his bullshit today.
Quill pulled Janis's wired earphones out from her ears, already ticking her off.
"hey Janice! whuch' you doin?" His voice was already annoying her, he purposely tried to make his voice way deeper than it was which just made it sound unnatural. He also butchered her name (horribly might I add).
"Janis. It's Janis. I'm working on my project, or was before you interrupted me." She sighed moving her earphones from the piece as carefully as possible.
"Well I was wondering if I could take you to homecoming-"
"For the upteenth time, NO!" Janis sighed angrily, "I'm already going with my beautiful girlfriends!"
"can't they go together?"
"No they can't now fuck off."
"Whatever, your not as pretty anyway, I might just ask them." he threw his hand up, clumsily knocking Janis's project to the floor.
"fuck!" She hissed trying to catch it, but it slipped though her hands, falling to the floor with a splat.
"awh shitt, my bad my bad." He mumbled before walking away.
Janis started to freak out her breathing increased.
Her pot was on the floor. Cady's pot was on the floor. Couldn't she do anything right? It wasn't her fault it was Quills, but it still felt like she should have saved it. The promises she made about the pot all gone in a instance. Maybe her girlfriends were dating down, how could they love a clumsy girl like her?
Her mind spiraled as she quickly tried to do her calming exercises.
After a minute the sound of rain mixed with her figure taps really helped her calm down. She decided to take a much more calm, and safe approach.
Her hands ran through her hair as she thought of ways to fix it. It fell in such a way that if she picked it up with precision and caution she could possibly save what's left, making major changes to the sides and revising the handles.
She was finally at peace with her plan before a strike of lightning and thunder broke her out of it, making her jump, slipping on her two feet landing directly in her mushy pot.
Given, she didn't fall on her ass, her hands braced her fall. ..You wanna know what else braced her fall? It was the pot.
All she wanted to do was scream, but she didn't, she was in a more than public setting and everyone definitely saw her fall. All she could do was clean up and leave. Since it wasn't quite the end of the school day, she had to take the public transportation rather than the schools private property.
She waited for the bus, her backpack getting wet- everything getting wet. She just wanted to be home in her girlfriends arms.
After what seemed like forever, the bus came and it was jam packed. Janis made it on, squeezing into a corner by what seemed to be a sweet old man.
He smiled at Janis but it quickly faded as he noticed the pins on her bag.
One was the lesbian flag and the other was the polygamous flag. Accompanied by various other pins, the rainbow pride flag stuck out to the man the most (he didn't recognize the specific flags she had)
"Your one of them.. queer folk." He mused, his breath lingering in the air.
"what.."
"all that queer shit- its- its not natural. You just didn't find the right man!" Janis could tell his bones were just itching to say that.
Janis just sighed, his voice was low and grainy enough to tune him out for the rest of the ride, but the fact he had the nerve to say something like that to her was astonishing, even in the year 2024.
Just 2 more minutes she had to remind herself.
When it was time for her stop, she got off with speed not trying to listen to that man a second longer. She walked up the block to where they were staying, the rain picking up with every step.
Janis slugged though the door throwing her backpack wherever as she passed by Cady and Regina without a word. She went to go change out of her outfit which was stained in a mix of paint, clay, and rain.
They gave each other confused glances before deciding to wait on Janis's timing to come and talk to them. They waited for approximately 30 minutes before Janis came in covered in their clothes.
She was drowned in Regina's fluffy pajama pants and snuggled up by Cady's Mathleet sweater. She had put her hair into a hair clip, her freshly washed face was slightly layered with water.
Wordlessly she sat in the middle of them, implying she wanted some loving which they complied to without hesitation.
Regina played with Janis's hair as Cady held her as close as she allowed.
"Do you wanna talk about what happened baby?" Cady softly said she could see the tears threatening to form in Janis's eyes already.
Janis just borrowed her face further into the sweater, "no" she mumbled from our the pillows, not quite ready to come out with a explanation.
Cady glanced at Regina and they knew what to do next. Regina got up getting Janis's favorite things, first her favorite blanket, her favorite plush, and her favorite fidget too.
"Look Janis.." Regina smiled and chuckled wearily trying to coax the girl to look at her.
Janis finally turned from the pillows smiling once she saw what Regina was hauling.
They all stayed silent for a few minutes before Janis spoke up.
"everything was so annoying today.." They sat back and listened to Janis's explanation. waiting patiently for her to continue.
"These.. stupid girls, theyre so mean. They made fun of me." her breath hitching, "They made fun of my outfit, i dont think I'll ever wear it again."
"Those bitches, I bet they wouldn't know good fashion even if Alex Consani was standing right Infront of them." Regina mumbles.
"Awh baby.. don't listen to them. They obviously have zero sense of style," Cady kissed janiss forehead softly, "We loved your outfit its like you took us to school with you."
Janis smiled at their comments but it quickly faded when she remembered what else those girls did.
"Then they went on to say how we were a weird couple"
"What do they care about our relationship?" Regina asked genuinely confused.
"They're all up in my business." Janis closed her eyes trying not to get mad, "they called us things I will not dare to repeat."
Janis took a breather irritation creeping up her neck. "I really hate them." She looked at her hands, "every time I try to enjoy myself in that class they always fuck it up."
"Oh baby.." Cady coo'd pulling Janis deeper in her arms, "I'm so sorry, I wish I was there with you."
"What were their names?" Regina asked trying to sound as calm as possible.
"Chloe Borrow, Kayla Everson, and Ava Seamack"
"They're nobodies, and you shouldn't take their words to heart alright baby?"
Janis nodded she played with the figet as she calmed down.
She felt better that she got that out, everything in her brain felt clearer.
"It just was a really shitty day." Janis mumbled.
"What can we do to make it better baby?"
"can we just.. cuddle for a while?"
"Of course we can."
Regina and Cady snuggled up real close against Janis, holding her as if she was going to disappear. They hugged her as if she was a precious doll that needed hours of care to manufacture.
Janis fell asleep not too long after, the rest of the horrible events fading away, problems for another day.
"We love you Janis" Regina whispered, planting a kiss on her forehead.
-
Later, when Cady and Janis were off to bed, Regina went off to the porch. She called the school managers, since her father was practically funding the art programs she had a really big say in what happened down there.
She was completely pissed off on how three students who have been banned from the main building and were bullies were allowed in such an establishment as such.
Her tone was hot as she blew up their phone, threatening to no longer fund them if those girls weren't thrown out.
Regina smiled to herself. If those girls were going to fuck with Janis they were going to fuck with her too, and that's one thing you wouldn't want to do.
