Summary: Being Clint’s daughter, and having been trained by him and Natasha. The Avengers need help from another smaller agent.

Authors Note: A shorter reader for reasons of needing her help. First time I believe I’m writing for a shorter reader. Fun Fact Scarlett Johansen is 5’3 and I’m the same height.

“Yeah, but who can do that.” Tony asked out loud. They had a urgent mission but there were parts that none of them could do. 

“None of us can. Not even Nat.” Steve let out a sigh. Tony was right, as annoying as that was.

Nat looked to Clint with knowing eyes. “We could call her in.”

Clint let out a frustrated sigh. “Nat”

Everyone was getting confused now as they watched the two spys. “She’s been dying to help and she just got backfrom her mission over seas.” Natasha added, knowing she was right that girl always talked to her. Told her everything.

“You advocate for my daughter more than you do for anyone else.” Clint glared at the redhead but there was no malice in it.

Nat shrugged. “I like her more than anyone else.”

“Who are you both talking about?” Bruce asked the question that was on everyones mind.

“Clint’s oldest daughter.” Natasha stated looking towards the others.

“y/n.” Clint told them her name. It’s not that he didn’t want Y/n on the team. Hell she was already an agent, it’s just he would be so focused on making sure she’s okay. That could endanger the others or at the very least himself. And he didn’t want her to get hurt. Or at least have to see it happen.

“You have another kid? You Bartons are very busy.” Tony said under his breath. They do have a lot of kids.

“She’s an agent?” Wanda asked with her head tilted.

“Yes, trained by me and Nat ourselves.” Clint nodded explaining a bit more about her to his friends that he considered family.

“Could she help?” Steve asked crossing his arms.

“Your call, you know how I’d vote.” Natasha stated as Clint looked to her for her input.

Clint nodded letting out a sigh. He just didn’t want her to get hurt, him being there and he couldn’t do nothing about it. But Nat was right. They needed her. “Fine. I’ll call her.”

“Where is she? We’re about to leave.” Tony questioned as they stood in the quinjet, waiting for this young Barton Agent to get there.

“She’ll be here.” Natasha stated glaring at Tony. She’s very protective also of Y/n.

“Paticnce, Tony.” Steve said trying to defuse the conversation before anything could happen or be said.

“There she is.” Natasha nodded towards where a girl probably in her early 20’s was coming from a black SHIELD SUV dropped her off.

“Thats Bartons daughter?” Bruce asked with squinted eyes. She was older than mot of them expected, most of his kids were a good portion younger.

“Her names Y/n or as she’s called in the field hummingbird.” Nat stated, they really couldn’t call her by her name? That was ridiculous. Y/n is more than just Clint’s kid. She’s her own person.

“Why hummingbird?” Wanda asked curiously, while everyone else just thought ‘another Barton with a bird code name’.

“She hums to distract her targets and she can move fast so they look one way but she comes around from the other.” Natasha explained kindly to Wanda as she was the only one in Nat’s eyes not being rude about her niece.

“The bird family.” Tony snarked which earned him a glare from not only Nat.

“Well, she did inherit Clint’s sense of sight.” Bucky spoke up which caused all eye’s to turn to him. Which made him uncomfortable, Bucky shrugged his shoulders before continuing. “What? It’s in her file. And I’ve ran into her before. Back when I was the Winter Solider.”

“Everyone.” Clint said as him and Y/n walked up the ramp of the quinjet. Clint had been waiting axniously for her to arrive. “This is Y/n. My daughter. Y/n everyone.”

“Hey everyone.” Y/n said smiling giving a small wave to all the Avengers. Then her focus turned to the two people infront of her she already knew. “And hi, Nat. Bucky.”

“You know Bucky?” Clint turned his attention to his daughter so fast it scared her abit.

Y/n shifted on her feet biting her lip not knowing what to say to her father about this. ‘Hey dad Fury sent me on a mission when I was only 17 and I ran into the Winter Solider’. No, that wouldn’t work. “Uhhhh, top secret mission.”

“Y/n-” Clint went to start interagetting her but Y/n cut himoff.

“Ask Fury. Okay?” she raised her hands in surrender.

Before Clint could question her anymore Tony spoke up wanting to get the mission started as soon as possible. “Alright. Let’s see what you can do. Let’s go.”

“Got a suit?” Steve sked with kind eyes.

“Yup.” Y/n gave him a nod.

“Then Suit up.” Steve nodded backwith a smile.

“This is gonna be fun.” Y/n sat next to Nat with a huge smile on her face. She was excited to finally get to work with her dad and Aunt Natasha. They trained her after all.

“Just don’t do anything to scare your dad. Got it? Or me.” Natasha smiled she to was excited but she was also nervous for the same reasons as Clint.

“I got it. Besides I want to be able to help you guys again.” Y/n nodded trying to get her to not worry as much. There was no way Y/n was gonna be reckless. She wanted to work with them all again someday.

So I watched "GOT - House Of Dragon" in February.

Loved it can't wait for season two hate that it's not gonna come out till like 2024.

“I think Ron’s catching on.” Y/n rested her head on her arms, which more currently folded on the table in the liberty. Y/n was stressed hiding something when you have so many siblings around all the time was not easy.

“No trust me he’s not.” Hermione shook her head, trying to comfort her friend.

“Out of all our family Y/n/n, Ron would be the last to figure it out.” Ginny laughed. Ron was oblivious, Hermione knew that as much as anyone and started laughing as well. Although both noticed their friend still looked stressed about the situation.

“Don’t worry, Y/n.” Hermione gave Y/n a smile trying to ease her friend's mind.

“They're all gonna hate me when they find out.” Y/n referred to her family. Ginny was the only one who knew, her and Hermione. No one else on her part. Besides her parents.

“Mom and dad don’t hate you and they know. I know and I don’t hate you.” Ginny nudged her older sister arm to arm also trying to ease the tension.

“I don’t either and I don’t get along with Draco at all.” Hermione reached across the table to hold her hand. Y/n was originally nervous to tell Hermione, given her and Draco’s history. Their history also having played a part in why Y/n turned Draco down for so long. Till Hermione convinced her to say yes.

“It’s just… I’m already so different from my family- our family it’s-” Y/n started but got cut off. Often at times, Y/n didn’t do things because she didn't want to be even more different than her family. She didn’t have the Weasley's hair, she wasn’t a Griffindor, and now she’s dating a Malfoy?

“An that’s ok. We still love you.” Ginny smiled.

“Y/n/n, Draco has said unforgivable things to me but I support your relationship with him because you make eachother happy. And let’s face it, you make him a better person.” Hermione added, and it was true. Draco has been an ass to Hermione for years, but she cared about her friend's happiness.

“You do.” Ginny agreed with Hermione. Draco has been a different person since Y/n finally agreed to a relationship with him.

“That’s why we’re helping you.” Hermione squeed Y/n’s hand, giving her smile. “You're my friend, you're like a sister to me. So until your ready for your brothers to know, I’ll help you keep it a secret.”

Ginny placed her arm around her older sister's shoulder in a half hug. “And if they don’t like it you really think mom won’t rip them a new one?”

The three laughed at Ginny’s statement, the 3 girls knowing very well how true her words were. After the laughing calmed down they decided to have a girls night in the common room for Gryffindor.

“I don’t care about what your brothers will think, you know that right?” Draco asked, he knew she was scared of what they’d think, and he completely understood where she was coming from.

“I know. I’m grateful for that. I’m just worried for their reactions.” Y/n smiled up at him through her lashes, since she was resting her head on his shoulder. “Weren’t you nervous about your parent's reaction? They weren’t to thrilled if I recall correctly.”

Y/n shrugged his arm off looking down, sometimes it felt like everyone in their world didn’t want them together. Draco turned a bit in his seat adjusting himself so he could face her. Lifting her chin up to look him in the eyes. “On this matter. I only care about what I think. Besides my mother loves you, and between my two parents the opinion on you would only matter from her.”

“I don’t care what they think of you, of us. I just don’t want them to hate me. For not telling them, for keeping a secret, or just because- hell I could think of a bunch of things.” She told him letting out a shaky laugh out of nerves.

“They won’t.” Draco reassured, hoping to ease her nerves. “AN if they do. That’s their loss. But you’d still have your parents, Ginny, Hermione, my mom, and you have me.”

“That’s all I really need.” Y/n smiled reaching up to pull him into a kiss.

“Woah.” Fred and George said at the same time. Both twins were just as shocked as the couple sitting in front of them. Draco and Y/n didn’t even bother to move away from eachother, they were caught making out anyway so no use.

“Ummmm- hey?” Y/n said awkwardly looking at her older brothers.

The twins looked at eachother having a silent connection before looking at the couple. “We have one question.”

“What is it?” Draco asked.

“How long?” Fred asked curiously.

“8 months.” Y/n answered confidently.

The twins looked at eachother again before turning back to face the young couple. “One more question.”

Y/n laughed at her brother's antics. “Yes?”

“Not for you.” Fred said smiling at his little sister.

“Oh” Y/n gulped nervously

“You.” The twins spoke at the same time, pointing to Draco.

“Me?” Draco asked worried slightly.

“Yes.” They answered trying not to laugh.

“What is it?” Draco gulped but was ready to answer anything they ask.

“Do you love her?” George asked with an unreadable look. Which un-nerved Draco and Y/n a little bit.

“Yes. I do.” Draco answered after a short moment of thought before looking at Y/n.

“I love you too.” Y/n smiled looking at him, shocked since they were taking things really slow and they hadn’t said ‘I love you’s’ yet.

“Then we’re good.” The twins stated smiling widely.

“Really?” Y/n asked hopeful that she might have at least two of her brothers on her side and ok with her relationship.

“Yeah.” He smiled at her, nodding.

“Thank you, guys! Don’t tell Ron!” Y/n called after them as they left the abandoned tower.

“We won’t!” They called back.

“That was better than you thought it’d be.” Draco commented letting out a breath he didn’t know he was holding.

“Yeah. I’m glad.” Y/n nodded letting out her own sigh of relief.

“I do think Ron will be a very different story though.” Draco admitted, truthfully he does not think Ron will accept it at all. Maybe not ever, if anything he might just become social with Draco but the young Malfoy doesn’t believe Ron will ever truly accept him. “We’ll deal with him when it comes to it.” Y/n said hoping that the day Ron finds out is very far in the future.

“I’m just saying you’ve met my family.” Jason said raising his hands in the air in surrender.

Y/n let out a sigh. “My family’s complicated.”

He let out a laugh, smiling at her. “Again you’ve met mine.”

Y/n turned to look at him. “Jay, your all adopted except Damian. In a way. Yeah, you’ve been through stuff that I won’t repeat and none of you have normal night lives but…”

“But nothing.” Jason shook his head walking up to her and cupping her face in his big hands. Making her look him in the eyes. “Look Babe, our families? Their both messed up. Okay? And for different reasons. But I still want to meet them. I promise I won’t take off an run.”

Y/n knew by the look in his eyes how serious he was. So she gave in reluctantly. “Okay. I’ll set it up but, you remember you asked for it. An remember don’t joke about pasts.”

They bot knew what she was talking about. Natasha, Bucky, Wanda and those were just a few to name that had gone through things that shouldn’t be joked about.Just like no one jokes about what happened to Jason because of the joker.

“Why are you so jumpy?” Jason asked as they were pulling into the compound grounds, he squeezed her hand to comfort her.

“Well-”

“You didn’t set it up did you?” Jason smirked giving her a teasing look. It didn’t surpirse him but it did entertain him.

“No.” Y/n admitted in a soft tone and very quietly.

“Y/n” Jason drew out but he wasn’t mad.

“I’m sorry. Okay? I’m nervous.” she exclaimed glancing back at him and then back on the dirt road thing.

“Y/n/n-” Jason softened his expression and tilted his head.

“I know I shouldn’t be. They're my family but I’ve never really had anyone meet them. People normally get close to me to get close to my dad or my family.” Y/n explained closing in on herself physically. It wasn’t a rare occasion that someone tried to use Y/n to get to any of the Avengers. So she didn’t bring people around often.

“An since I’m someone that’s with you for you this is a big deal for you.” Jason concluded feeling bad for her. Y/n loved people interaction but being used so much like that, it had hurt after awhile. How could someone treat her like that? Multiple someones.

“Yeah.” Y/n answered once they had parked and got out of the car. Jason rounded the car and pulled her into a hug.

The two stayed like that for a few minutes. Till there wa s a loud yelling. “Y/n Y/m/n Stark!”

“Hey dad.” Y/n said as she turned around to face where the voice of her father came from.

“Its been to long sweetheart.” Tommy said as they appaorched eachother. Tony pulled her in for a hug.

“I know, I missed you to.” Y/n spoke into his chest, hugging him back.

“An who’s this?” Tony asked once they pulled out of the hug.

Y/n took a deep breath before answering. “This is Jason Todd. My boyfriend.”

“Its nice to meet the man that helped create this wonderful woman.” Jason charmed and reached his hand out to shake but it seemed like it wasn’t going to work.

“Hmmm. I don’t like to be handed things. I’ve said that before.” Tony said as he looked down at the young man's hands before heading back inside.

Jason and Y/n followed him inside. “Well, he’s pleasant.”

“He doesn’t know you and your dating his little girl. Don’t expect a warm welcome.” Bucky stated as he, Sam, and Steve walked over to greet the young man. Everyone had been watching through the windows. Y/n never brought people home.

“Jason this is Bucky, Sam, and Steve.” Y/n introduced the three men in front of them.

Bucky nodded as they shook hands with the guy. The five of them talked for a bit and Bucky had admitted to liking Jason, which made Sam bark out a laugh.

“Anything that’ll piss off the older Stark, huh?” Sam looked to Barnes with raised eyebrows. Finding it all very funny.

“Guys-” Steve was trying to disarm the two before they could start fighting. Again.

“If he’s gonna hold everything about me against me then yeah.” Bucky nodded with a pleased look on his face. “Besides I’m her boyfriend. Need to be supportive.”

“Well then.” Sam went to start.

“It's nice to meet you, Jason.” Steve flashed him a smile and another to Y/n before he dragged Bucky and Sam away.

Jason nodded giving them a smile as they walked away. “Pleasures all mine.”

Natasha approached after seeing the 3 men leave. “Oh, so he has manners.”

“When he wants to.” Y/n smiled stepping forward to hug the older woman that she’d known since she was younger. “Jason this is Natasha Romanoff.”

“Nice to meet you, Natasha. Your one of the ones Y/n talks about most.” Jason smiled at the short redheaded woman.

Nat looked him over for a minute before smiling and nodding her head at Y/n. “hmmm, he might be a keeper.”

They spent most of the day there hanging out and catching up. Everyone got to know Jason, and they loved having Y/n visit.

But now it’s time for them to head out. As they were leaving Tony came out stopping them before they could reach the car. “Hey, kiddo.”

Y/n and Jason shared a look and he understood so he headed to start the car. They needed to talk. Y/n turned to face her dad. “Yeah, dad?”

“Don’t stay away so long next time. ‘Kay?” he smiled at her. He really missed having her around and missed how much she use to visit.

“I won’t. I missed you all too much.” Y/n smiled at him having missed him a lot to. But she needed to say something. “But you could actually thank Jason. You know the guy you haven’t given much of a chance the whole time we’ve been here.”

“I-”

Y/n shook her head giving him a tight smile. “Dad. I have watched you all day. You have been observing him, but didn’t interact much.”

“Okay.” Tony nodded, he could admit he hadn’t been the most welcoming. He could see the tall muscular boy made his daughter happy and he didn’t seem to be using her. “Okay. I do like him. From what I’ve observed. It seems like you are good for eachother.”

“Thanks, Dad.” Y/n smiled gratefully at him as she gave him one last hug before she was going to have to leave. But she’d come to visit soon.

“Your welcome kiddo.” Tony hugged her back tightly. Tony looked over her head to where Jason was waiting, holding the door open of the car for her. He sent him a nod of approval over y/n’s head to which Jason returned. This went better in the end than he or Y/n thought.

“Does he always do that?” Betty asked as her and Veronica watched out y/n’s bedroom window. They were currently having a sleepover but Archie and some of the Bulldogs were playing football out in the street.

“Yup.” Y/n let out a frustrated sigh as she pulled her hair up into a ponytail.

“Wow, Archie Andrews being a show off.” Veronica said amused as she to watched the redheaded boy.

“He never stops.” Y/n stated shaking her head as she glanced out the window for a second.

“Do you know why?” Betty questioned moving to sit across from y/n on the bed.

“I think he likes me, but if he knew anything about me. He wouldn’t.” She told them shaking her head. It had been going on for months at this point.

“Why do you say that?” Veronica tilted her head at Y/n’s statement. Confused about what she meant by it.

“I’m a Serpent Veronica. Archie hates the Serpents. And besides, I’m dating Sweet Pea.” Y/n shrugged and gave them a tight lipped smile, but it became real at the mention of Sweet Pea.

“I will say I love Archie and he’s a good guy but, Sweet Pea treats you like a princess.” Betty smiled at Y/n. Betty had known Archie forever but she had firsthand witnessed how Sweet Pea treats her friend in their relationship. And even Betty didn’t think Archie could treat her that good.

“Correction. He treats you like a Queen.” Veronica smiled coming around to sit on the bed with the both of them.

Y/n smiled widely at their comments. “Plus with all the beef going on between the bulldogs and the Serpents. It’d be worse once he knew FP treats me like a daughter.”

“FP treats you better than my father treats me.” Veronica admitted letting out a sigh that had frustration and sadness in it.

“Sorry V.” Betty rubbed her friend's upper arm.

“No worries. Hey, do you think FP could honorarly adopt me too?” Veronica asked y/n jokingly.

“I mean if you ask.” Y/n shrugged her shoulders but they all started laughing, not being able to hold it anymore.

It was only a week later at a game for the school that the girls along with y/n and Toni noticed Archie doing it again. Watching.

“He’s doing it again.” Veronica noted nudging the y/h/c-ed girl scooted next to her on the bleachers.

“This is just sad to watch.” Betty said watching the boy she grew up with, with squinted eyes. 

“Sweet Pea’s going to be here soon. And for the record this is fun to watch.” Toni interjected as she sat down next to them. She found Archies actions to be quite entertaining much like Veronica but for different reasons.

“Once he sees the back of my jacket he’ll stop.” Y/n nodded, taking a hand full of popcorn from Toni. Y/n made sure to wear her Serpents jacket tonight. This needed to stop.

“Hey, babe.” Sweet Pea greeted kissing her on the cheek. Toni scooted over fromY/n so Sweet Pea could sit down next to her.

“Hey.” Y/n greeted Sweet Pea before he could sit down she stood to hug him, making sure her jacket faced the field as she did so.

“And he noticed.” Betty pointed out as the couple sat down.

“Wow.” Veronica shook her head with wide eyes. “Men.” she scoffed, as they all watched the attraction Archie had to Y/n leave him as he saw her jacket.

“What are they talking about?” Sweet Pea asked leaning in to whisper in Y/n’s ear.

“Nothing.” Y/n answered but she could tell he didn’t believe it. So Y/n turned a tiny bit to face him with her body, grabbing his hand bringing it to her lips. “Trust me Pea. If it was something worth telling, I’d tell you.”

“She would.” Betty stated in agreement.

Toni knew problems would only get worse if Sweet Pea knew exactly what they were talking about. “You or FP would be the first to know.”

And it was true but let's just hope Archie had the sense to not ever bring it up.
