“You know, I’ve told you many times watching me is creepy. I get your stuck in this huge and all but still.” Y/n said not even looking up at the boy in her room.

“Sorry.” Tate shuffled awkwardly.

“What's wrong?” Y/n asked looking at him when she heard his response. Very un Tate like.

“Do you care? I could just leave like you want.” Tate scoffed not believing that she really wanted to know.

“I said it’s creepy, I’m not heartless. What happened?” Y/n patted the spot beside her, inviting him to sit by her and tell her what was bothering him.

“Are you really going through with this?” Dean asked but it came out more accusatory than anything, as he stood in her bedroom doorway with his arms crossed.

“Yes for the thousandth time dear brother.” Y/n rolled her eyes as she searched for her jacket. Jess had something planned for the two of them tonight and it was a little chilly outside. Dean had brought up this conversation so many times and frankly Y/n was done with it.

“But it’s Jess!” Dean exclaimed, he couldn’t understand why his sister liked jess to begin with but having his baby? Why would she want to carry a piece of him inside her.

“Exactly!” Y/n turned to face him as she put on her jacket.

Dean scoffed his expression full of disgust. “How can you want something of him growing inside you?” 

“Because I love him, and he loves me.” Y/n sighed she honestly didn’t think her brother would ever understand or support her relationship choice with Jess. But that wouldn’t stop her and jess from being together.

Dean huffed. “Bullshit! He just likes that your an easy lay.”

Y/n stood there in the middle of her room in shock. She knew he hated Jess and their relationship but to say something like that? That was uncalled for and very hurtful.

“Wow. Brother of the year.” Y/n sniffled as she kept her gaze downward not wanting to look or let him see her watery eyes.

“Y/n-” Dean went to grab her arm as she reached for her bag and left her room but Y/n ripped away from his hand.

“No, you’ve made your opinion very clear.” Y/n shook her head, wiping her teary eyes on the sleeve of her jacket, as she headed towards the front door. Once she reached it with her hand on the door knob Y/n turned back to look at her brother. “If you don’t want anything to do with your niece or nephew. Then so be it. Cause I’m not letting you near my child with this attitude of yours.”

After saying that Y/n walked out the front door of their family home. Once Y/n took a deep breath and looked up she saw the man of the hour.

“Y/n/n” Jess gave her a sympathetic smile.

“Jess?” she spoke softly, her voice breaking halfway through saying his name. “Did you-”

“I heard. Your window was open.” Jess nodded before opening his arms up, holding them out to the sides for her. Y/n walked into his embrace, feeling much safer.

“Can we just go to Luke’s?” Y/n asked looking up at jess as he wiped her cheeks of stray tears that escaped.

Jess nodded, placing a kiss on her forehead. “Yeah, we can go to Luke’s.”

Luke had been their safe haven since before they even got together and were just friends. Luke had been stressed at the news that his nephew, that he was in charge of had gotten his girlfriend pregnant. But luke had known Y/n her whole life and Jess truly did care about her so luke was determined to be the young couples safe place and person they rely on. And technically he was excited for the baby to come. They were a family no matter what. And Luke and Jess wouldn’t let her asshole brother ruin this for them.

“I can’t wait to get this baby out.” Y/n said as she walked over to sit on the couch from the kitchen. It was nice to have her husband and their bestfriend home after a long week.

“You done y/n/n?” Kelly asked amused at his pregnant friend. He did feel bad for her, the pregnancy hadn’t been an easy one.

“Yes, Severide. I am.” Y/n narrowed her eyes playfully at the salt n pepper haired man sitting across from her.

“Are you still coming over to help set up the nursery after shift tuesday?” Matt asked coming into the living room, handing Severide a beer before sitting down next to y/n.

“Yeah. of course I want to help set up my nephew or . . . Niece’s room.” Kelly smiled, hinting obviously at the certain information he has yet to be told. Kelly has been the most excited besides Y/n and Matt for the baby to come and he’s been trying to get the gender out of them since he knew the couple found out.

Y/n laughed at his antics, before turning her head to face Matt. “Come on Matt, I think he deserves to know. He is an uncle and Godfather right.”

Matt smiled nodding, giddy about finally letting his best friend know the gender of his baby. “Okay, okay. Let me go get the thing.”

“Thing?” he asked with confusion all over his face as he looked at Y/n since Matt left the room.

“Yes, thing. We planned a way to tell you.” Y/n smiled, also excited for Kelly to know the gender of their baby. Matt and her both knew Kelly was going to be very included in their child's life.

Matt came back into the room with a small gift bag with tissue paper coming out the top. Once he handed Kelly the bag he sat back down next to his wife, both smiling at the Squad Captain as he stared at the bag in his hands. “Go on, open it.”

With the encouragement Kelly did as told excitedly digging into the bag. “No!” he looked up towards the couple across from him with pure excitement lit up in his eyes. “Are you kidding?!”

Y/n nodded with watery eyes, loving his reaction. “We’re having a baby girl.”

The rest of the night was filled with so much happiness from all 3 of them. And Kelly knew Stella was gonna be so pissed she didn’t end up coming that night.
