I'm Always Down For Asks! Though I Make No Promises To Have All The Answers. I'm Pretty Sociable So Feel

I'm always down for asks! Though I make no promises to have all the answers. I'm pretty sociable so feel free to interact!
I don't really intend to frequently post NSFW, but if I do, I'll always community tag cover it. Please see Tags of Note below for more details on what you may want to mute..
I've also got an alt where I do most of my reblogs so this page can stay clean: @civilotterneerredlines
Master list of my larger projects can be found at the end of this blurb.
Wanna know more?
Master List:
Laundry Day - Funny lewd comic about CIv doing laundry
The Search for Civ - Civ has gone missing, how will Lye find him?
Tags of Note:
#uncivilotterneer - horny posting, and NSFW. This blanket terms all directly lewd posts, but may not catch stuff considered only 'spicy' as per the speedo tag below.
#speedo - posts where characters are shirtless or wearing very little, like a Speedo, typically not with sexual intent, but stuff may be a bit spicy.
#sandwich time - the anti-horny post. Send me an ask if I ever get too lewd or horny to reset me and have me post a sandwich render instead of being lower-brained.
#Civ - Civ! My main fursona and primary character
#Lye - Civ's housemate, a cat necromancer
#ask - posts with asks from people
Fun facts:
I am a practicing civil engineer-in-training. I originally got a degree in environmental engineering, but civil speaks to me more now (they're very similar degrees so it's in fact possible to switch post-college). I'm focusing my work in wastewater and water treatment, with a healthy amount of site grading and water/sewer pipe networks for the city.
I swim just about every day I can, which is pretty close to daily. Thus my fursona's an otter to reflect that. Plus I'm just a silly little guy sometimes.
Ich lerne Deutsch, aber Ich bin nicht sehr gut.
I enjoy tabletop games a ton. Big fan of DND/Starfinder and I'm currently running a Starfinder campaign. I also play a bit of MTG, but more often I play Star Wars Armada, which I paint and homebrew for.
I have 2 3D printers, one FDM and one Resin. I'm typically printing game pieces for Armada, which a roommate and I are currently using to make a Star Trek, UNSC, and Covenant faction for the game. I also 3D print mini's for DND, and my roommate group paints them. The FDM is the favorite child, though its older so maybe that's unfair. (I'd like to note that she's now in her rebellious stage and tends to malfunction more now. The resin's now the grade A student)
I've got two pets: one's my mutt Lady (she's a rez mutt with mixed aussie, german shep, sheep dog, herder, and about every other breed on the rez), the other's my snake Striker (lesser morph ball python).

Learning 3d modelling and had to pick a subject. Gonna redo this once I get more experience and learn sculpting but here's a low poly Mateo as a Hyleft. Eventually want to make a high res Danny Phantom once I can get the skills.

Couldn't finish this piece today, so here's a sneak peak instead! I'm planning on make a short animation and some final art pieces out of this one.
Now that I think of it, this is actually a really good image on its own! Moreso a bonus than the original intent, but I'll take it.
Gave myself a challenge to not use any existing textures from online, so all the textures for the room will be procedurally generated. Tile, towels, all of it should be handmade this time. It probably means they may miss out on some detail that true textures will make, but this'll be a great start to trying to create my own textures for future renders.
Booty McTooty
Mmm, to see what was thought to be dead, only a ghost must I be experiencing.
I may or may not be missing summer (which is probably bad because we just got our first major snow event and it's only gonna get worse) and wish the pools were not frigid, so I did a boredom render while trying to learn a few new things. Plus its so cool to see the model just ... doing things! I'm excited to make more of these.
Today's log of learned things is how to make some simple water textures with wave movement (not exactly smart but mostly just simple shapes), as well as better workflow for keyframes. I also learned about Mixamo and Rokoko, which are awesome programs for a newb like me! Most of the animation is from Mixamo, but I tried to fix some hand movements and added the head tilt and smile. Was trying to work with Blender Wiggles 2 (for hair physics), but I kept getting this strange jerking effect and unwanted movement, so clearly more to work on there.
Guess the next thing to do is work on the issues above and make a winter outfit and regret it being winter even more!
Also this guy is my VRChat model now! It's still a bit ... unrefined, but it does have a medium rating.
So much computer stuff and learning recently, Blender stuff, basics of Unity to make my model. Not to mention I do AutoCAD at work. If I spend anymore time in front of computer screens, I'm gonna become a protogen!

I didn't plan on rendering this one, so here's a wild-west themed space train I designed with a friend for a space DND campaign we're doing soon! I'll likely 3D print it and paint it eventually, too which I'll post those as well (if it happens and I remember!).
The Solari are one of two sentient species that live on a tidally locked planet. Living on the hottest side of that planet, the Solari must traverse long distances across hot deserts and wild-west like landscapes, all while keeping their stuff safe. Thus they invented the Space Train
The Solari Space Train is capable of over-land flight using its hover engines, and works even better when on grav-rails that reduce the power requirements. However, using specially made ramps, the trains are capable of reaching speeds that launch them upwards, using their main thrusters to eventually reach space. While not the best space vehicle by far, the Solari still use their Space Trains, and with the gift of FTL technology by the The Scaled Empire, it isn't uncommon to see one of these pulling up to a station or racing across a new planet.
These trains are modular, and each Space Train owner can equip a variety of cars to their train as they see fit. The onset of new technologies from Deep Rock Galactic, The Scaled Empire, and the United Federation of Fiefdoms has increased their potency utility, though they still suffer the flaws of their design being that of a long thin line.
Also one of my roommates says the locomotive looks like a limousine. Do yall agree?
