he has a cunty little desk that's organised so tightly you feel your finger will snap if you try to nudge a pencil out of place. his personal management skills are just as air-tight and a little scary. his people-facing smile is as glassy and foreboding as the smiles you see businesswomen do in american movies

when tsurumi's on a firing streak, usami gets to break the news to each human casualty. never over email, always on call/in person. and he does it gladly. he pushes the "send" on that meeting invite like this

in my corporate mind palace, ogata's a sysadmin. manages the machines and networks of the company - or, in short, its technical guts. works out of the basement floor, has tender feelings for the hum of the servers and not so much for the people who use them. acts like the god-chosen miracle-working gold-plated cornerstone of the whole operation; to everyone's chagrin, he kinda is.

obviously arrogant. sounds deeply sick of everything, even in a decent mood. allows himself a lot of honesty with the higher-ups. every time a technical issue can't be solved by support and escalates to him, he acts like you must personally pay for every word he has to say to you while solving it.

does not get fired for being the asshole of the asshole because he's just that good at what he does.

unluckily for him, usami and sugimoto have the most talent for crashing things they should not, by all logic, have the authority to crash. so he has to talk to them quite a bit.
