...& handing over the Flame to Roan out of the soul reason to save their (Lexa & Clarke's) people was another hard moment for her. Handing over one of the very few tangible objects she has of Lexa, let alone Lexa's soul that she believes is in that chip...the tears and distant look in Clarke's eyes says it all. She has to cary on in knowing that Lexa 'is always with' her, in her heart, looking over her, with her in spirit. Not just in the Flame. And dispite all of this, Clarke knows that Lexa would want Clarke to do what is right for their people, for their future of peace. Clarke did this for herself, their people, but most importantly, she did it for Lexa's legacy.

I enjoy the simpler things in life, like sitting down with a good long gay fanfic.
What i really love about Lexa is how she needs absolutely nothing from Clarke with the exception of Clarke’s safety. That’s all she needs is for Clarke to stay safe. She doesn’t need Clarke’s love to freely offer hers. She doesn’t need Clarke’s devotion to be devoted to Clarke. She doesn’t need Clarke’s loyalty to give her an undying amount. The fealty she vowed to Clarke is freely given, Clarke doesn’t have to do a single thing to earn it … it’s already hers.
Friendly reminder that Clarke saying “maybe someday” was actually her saying “when this is all over, it’s going to be you and me.”
