Step-Mom: We all knew there was something wrong with you, but when we took you to get help, you were acting like *mocking, melodramatic whine* YOU ALL THINK I’M CRAZY-- Yeah, wow, telling me we were going to go to the movies and then leaving me in a strange psychiatrist’s office when I was a 14 year old kid without explaining anything sure made it clear that this was for MY benefit, thank you, best mother of the year award.

Working in food service is so surreal because like... nothing I do for people is anywhere close to life and death, but some customers absolutely act as though it is. I look a woman dead in the eye and solemnly inform her that unfortunately we are out of oat milk, and I see her heart shatter in front of me, right there at the bakery counter at 8 in the morning. am i like the only person who gets a little ‘mmmm’ about fans who see an Asian character and decide to change them to “make better representation” and obviously:
a) don’t know there are dark-skinned Asians b) don’t know there are mixed Asians c) keep perpetuating the stereotype that All Asians are white adjacent
a terrifying chair that i would never sit in
