Just to explain why I put which characters over who:

Shidou- I based this purely off of the one regressions Joonghyuk has. In the novel, Joonghyuk gets married and had kids with Lee Seolhwa, a doctor, but then later on died in that life which further fueled his anger. Also their characters align too, a man that's broken after losing everything, which I thought perfectly fit Shidou.

Kazui- Kim Dokja feels like he has responsibility over everyone and keeps sacrificing himself, dying multiple times just to save people, which I thought would fit Kazui. In the second trial, Kazui feels like he NEEDS to be the protector of the prisoners and put himself in harm's way (Kotoko) to protect them, which I think perfectly fits.

Kotoko- I don't have much reasoning for this one since the rest of the female prisoners don't fit Sooyoung. But, Sooyoung's dedication and perseverance aligns well with Kotoko's. I say that cause Sooyoung dedicated her life and her needs to save Kim Dokja, sacrificing her life just to save someone, while Kotoko dedicated her life to save people and the weak in general, going on and sacrificing a life she could've had to pick the justice she's dedicated to.
