Why do you think they are using Wrinkle in Time as an inspiration though? And Meg and Calvin are married in WiT.... lol..?

Not sure if you mean storyline wise, or why I even think they’re using it at all? I’ll answer for the latter - the Duffers have posted about it multiple times and tesserring was already referenced by Scott Clarke in Season 1. The second image might even be a picture of a shot within the show. Episode Six is named Escape from Camazotz.

Clearly, they are kind of obsessed with this book especially in lead-up to Season Five.

And yes… I said that not all of the comparisons are 1 to 1. They’re just costume references sometimes. Mike is dressed as Peter Bishop from Fringe in Season 1 (another Duffer favourite), but I don’t think it’s a literal indication that he himself was stolen from another dimension by his father.

Now we can see Will and El’s costuming / hair are both inspired by A Wrinkle in Time (2003).

El is dressed as Meg (hair mostly), and Will is Calvin. Like I’ve said before, I don’t think their costumes actually relate to their characters and nothing is fully one-for-one. For example Mike is much more of a Calvin personality character but plays a Megan role in the plotline. And also… doesn’t have a clear reference to show for now.

If you don’t like me making theories based off of the plausible Season Five inspiration points then unfollow / mute / block me because I will keep doing it and it will definitely get more frequent. I haven’t even gotten into the Peter Pan stuff yet.

Also a provisional title for Stranger Things was literally THE TESSERACT.
