So I Got The Stranger Things Tarot Coz I'll Look For Clues Literally Fucking Anywhere

So I got the stranger things tarot coz I'll look for clues literally fucking anywhere

The tarot starts with the 21 cards of the major arcana. They're basically a story of a hero's journey

And the major arcana starts with the fool

Will Byers is the fool

Card number 0

So I Got The Stranger Things Tarot Coz I'll Look For Clues Literally Fucking Anywhere

It's number 0 because it's the fool's journey so he's already present in all the other cards. He doesn't need a number.

Tarot cards have different meanings when they're upright or upside down, but check it

So I Got The Stranger Things Tarot Coz I'll Look For Clues Literally Fucking Anywhere

Will as the fool is in the upside down

The meaning they give for rs up is the simplified start of a great adventure. For the upd they say the meaning is it's reasonable to be afraid of the unknown but ask yourself if you're really afraid of not being in control. And that you can be scared but but you still have to forge ahead

Except for there being a boy the card has none of the traditional symbolism of the fool

The fool stands in sunlight, will in the ud. He is facing an eerie glow

The fool looks upward at the universe, will looks ahead into that glow

The fool is about to step off a cliff, will walks deeper into the ud. Arguably even more risky

The fool has a white rose in his left hand representing purity and innocence. Will has a walkie in his right hand. Is he lacking purity and innocence? Is this mirror will?

The fool has a small white dog at his feet representing loyalty and protection. The dog is encouraging the fool forward to learn. Will has a toppled trash can at his feet. Unprotected? What does that say about loyalty? How is that encouraging?

Upright it's the beginning of a journey, one where you have to follow your heart. You just gotta believe. It's committing, trusting, and releasing fear. It's about childlike adventure.

Reversed it's feeling too afraid or unworthy to do the thing. Needing a sense of control because you don't know what you don't know. Getting stuck in your head.

Holy shit idk if anyone has pointed this out yet but-

Okay so in season one its established through Joyce that Will has a fear of clowns. Clown imagery is reinforced in season 2 when someone dressed as one on Halloween triggers Will’s episode and Bob mentions having nightmares about Baldo the clown.

In season one it’s also established that Lonnie will sometimes bring Will to baseball games (which Will does not actually enjoy)

What was a baseball team operating out of Indiana in the 70’s and 80’s? The Indianapolis Clowns

Holy Shit Idk If Anyone Has Pointed This Out Yet But-

Will’s fear of clowns has to be intrinsically tied to his dad
