“….” This silence was… agonizing. When they had last been together, their conversations hadn’t exactly been frequent, but at the very least they hadn’t been covered in this painful silence. Even as all of these memories had finally come back, it didn’t make him feel any better.

What the fuck had he been doing up until now?!

Now he refused to look at her, eyes travelling to the floor. He hadn’t even considered the fact that he had called her 2E instead of the name that for so long had become one of his favorites. She had just been someone who cared, even if it was in her own way… she cared.

Taking a step back, the android could only stand for a moment, words not being processed.

We do not have emotions… then why the fuck could he not say anything!?

“2B… it’s been a while.” Taking a “breath”, the Supporter takes a few steps towards her now, eyes remaining on her form. “A lot happened, while you were gone.. but..” He couldn’t, he couldn’t do this anymore.

The steps turned to a walk, then faster, then a run.

His arms wrapped around her.

“… I never thought I would see you again.”

It had only been a matter of time before he would have discovered the truth, it had always been like that. The song remained the same, except this time--There was no need to bring her blade down upon the other. Now that everything was over, there was no need to do such a thing. There was nothing left to fight for.

....Ah....Does he hate me, maybe? That would make the most sense.

Time and time again she had stained her hands with his blood, acted as his executioner for the sake of YoRHa, and watched him forget her over and over and over. If 9S loathed her, she couldn’t bring it in herself to hate him even if she wanted to. Eyes downcast from behind her visor, she could have almost laughed.

So this was her punishment.

As fitting as it was, it was cruel, so cruel that she doesn’t hear the sound of his feet hitting the ground at a rapid pace growing closer and closer, until his arms have wound around her in a tight embrace. Has he always been this warm? It makes the B-type gasp softly and audibly, and her throat closes up in feeling the younger YoRHa hug her like this, despite what she’d done to him, how much suffering he must know that he’s caused her.

Or did he know that she was suffering too?

“9S, I.....”

Biting into her lower lip, jaw clenching in her attempt to keep her emotions in heck--2B failed miserably, and instead found herself clutching at him just as tightly. If she could be permitted to break that endless spiral of killing him just this once, then....
