6 Types of Protection Magick

There are many ways one can do protective magick. In this post I'll be going into 6 of the most common and accessible ones!
Please understand that even one "protection magick type" can be done in an infinity of ways, some of which are closed to certain practices.
Disclaimer: based on my experience and research. I don't claim to know all truth. Further study is encouraged!
_________________♡♤◇♧_________________
#1 — Magic circle

The magic circle consists of creating a protection and delimiting a sacred space for magic and/or ritual.
The magic circle is probably one of the most popular protection methods thanks to its encouraged use in Wicca. However, other traditions have made use of similar concepts, such as in the afro-brazillian Umbanda concept of "chain".
The circle can be physically drawn on the ground, delimited by the members inside the circle, or visualized.
Casting one is fairly simple since it can be done in different ways, either in groups or solitary practice. You can use tools such as wands, chalk or physical objects to draw it, but what matters most is intention and successful visualization.
Before casting a circle it's important to have everything you will need already within grasp and inside the circle, since once created it is advisable that no one leaves it until the work is complete.
#2 — Amulets, and Enchanted Items

Enchanted Items are a very popular and effective form of magic, especially for personal use. These are often common objects that have been enchanted for protection.
They are often necklaces, rings and other jewelry since these are the most practical to carry around without suspicion. However, they can be any object.
Amulets can be created via enchanting, charms, or by asking deities and spirits to bless them with protective qualities.
The material and imagery used to create the talisman is also important in determining the kind of job it wants to do.
#3 — Sigils and other drawn Symbols

Sigils and Symbols can be used both for personal protection and for warding spaces. Here I am also including Runes.
They can be carved into objects, drawn upon skin and surfaces, or even tattooed.
However, before using any sigil, symbol or rune it is of extreme importance that you know exactly what they do, and know as much about them as possible. Especially if you plan on drawing them on your skin (either temporarily or permanently).
Unless specifically used only for protection purposes, inadequate use of them can lead to disaster. Even then, the type of protection they bring can vary.
For example, a protection sigil that works by hiding you from threats is different from a sigil that fights threats that come to you. It's important to set or to know how their protection work so that you do not come across unwanted results.
#4 — Prayer

My definition of praying: focusing on sending a message to a higher spiritual power, be it an entity, deity or energy.
Prayers are a great way of manifesting protection, though since you are asking for it to a higher power you must understand that it may choose to not grant it, or not grant it in the way you expect.
Plus, it is very important to know where you stand with this energy or entity. Do you work with them already? For how long? What is the nature of the relationship? Do you truly know them well enough to ask them for this? Is it really appropriate?
Cultivating a good relationship and having manners can be decisive factors for manifesting this sort of protection. Plus, it's always good to "give back" in some way. To receive something, something must be given eventually.
#5 — Affirmations and Visualizations

Words and the mind have innate power. Affirmations and visualizations are great ways to manifest protections because they rely only on yourself.
They are easier to do right if you use them together with other methods, or if you have physical representations of the work being done. To be successful one must focus, "feel" them happening, and maintaining that without help can be difficult. Frequent practice will help you get the hang of it.
There are also techniques that make affirmations and visualizations both more powerful and easier to accomplish.
#6 — Warding

Warding is when you set up a semi-permanent protection in a specific place, such as your house.
It can be done in many different ways. One of the most common is to have an object or place designated as the "holder" of the ward, which should be well kept.
Warding will be more powerful if you are frequently cleansing the space and recharging the ward. Leaving it alone for too long can weaken in or make it lose its properties altogether.
Some plants are used for this kind of protection, since they (usually) stay in place, can be powerful magical allies, and you'll be checking on them often anyway. The ones usued are often those with thorns, threatening-looking leaves, or even poison.
Note: always be very careful about bringing poisonous plants home, especially if you have children or pets.

Conclusion
This was an overview of the most common types of protective magick. A lot of protection spells and works fall somewhere within these categories, or are a combination of them.
Each tradition has a certain way of going about spiritual protection, so if you are exploring an specific path, I encourage you to not only research about protection in general but to also look into what unique techniques your path has to offer!
Many blessings and thank you for reading! ♡

How To Properly Disassemble A Spell Jar

Retrieving the Reusable Ingredients and Getting Rid of the Rest
Reusable ingredients include crystals, shells, rocks, bones, and anything else that can be used again. Cleanse them in smoke or water and reuse them in your next jar.
Trash
Throw the contents into the trash or a dumpster, if you don’t want it near you.
Burying:
This is a more respectful way to dispose of materials, as long as it's safe to do so. Dig a hole at least half a foot, place the herbs that were used in the jar inside, and bury it in the ground. Make sure it's biodegradable and safe for animals before doing this!
Burning It:
Put the offering in a fire safe container (a pot, cauldron, etc) and safely light it. Make sure it's completely burned (don't let it out of your sight until the fire's out!) and then spread the ashes on the ground away from your house.
Releasing:
Release the materials into a body of water. Keep in mind that not all organic matters are safe for the water or for fish, so look it up beforehand

Rise & Shine Beauty
The Final Hurdle Spell
This is a how-to/insight on how to cast my most recently created spell.
Ingredients:
✨ Black and Purple Candles
✨ Cloves
✨ Cinnamon
✨ Sage
✨ Purple Daisies
✨ Lillies
✨ Fluorite
✨ Amazonite
✨ Citrine
✨ Amethyst
✨ Hematite
✨ Clear Quartz
✨ Black Tea
✨ Twine
First, place your purple candle in the middle of your area and carve the initial of the person this spell is meant for.
After this, tie your twine into a circle large enough to wrap around all of your candles and the rest to come! Make sure it’s completely secure at the end of the spell and circling your entire work-space. This is to focus the energy from the spell, and, in my case, it's always worked the way I wanted it to.

Then gather your stones that give off the energy you’re looking for. I used Fluorite, Amazonite, Amethyst, Citrine, Hematite, and Clear Quartz. Place these in a circle around a small bowl.

Now put your black tea in said bowl and add water.

Crush your cloves and sage (and cinnamon if you’re using a powdered version) in a mortar and pestle. Once blended fully, add this mixture into your bowl with black tea and stir. I used a cinnamon stick from my local grocery store and used it to stir my blend as well as sit in the bowl for the whole spell.

Place your flowers, in my case daisies and lilies, on each side of your candles.

Now light all your candles and whisper this incantation to your main candle: "Triumph is near, There is nothing to fear. You will not fail, you will not miss, You will end up with nothing but bliss."
Let this burn for as long as you feel like it should.

Please do not repost.
Good morning new week…☕ I wish you a happy and healthy day .•°°•🌿🌷🌿•°°•.

To my fellow pagans and witches
The words you say effect the reality of what you feel

Many people within our modern world struggle to manage their emotions and contain what they feel. Sometimes its about how we portray what we feel purely by what we say.
For the depressed:
"I am lonely" or "I am alone" becomes "I get lonesome" or "Im just feeling the bachelor blues right now"
"Im always depressed" or "I just always feel sad" becomes "Im just going through it right now" or "life just kinda sucks at the moment"
For the angry:
"I hate this person" becomes "I dont want to be around this person"
"I feel like Im gonna explode" becomes "I need to go chill out for a bit"
You ever noticed how people used to say "thats epic bro" to eveything? But yall were just playing a silly game? The words you use have power in the situations you live. If you downplay parts of the emotions and give it time to blow over. It just kinda goes away. Not always but sometimes it does the trick!
If you are struggling with mental health and what not reach out to the people around you :> seek out wisdom.
10 Reasons Why I Love Being a Witch
1) Witchcraft loves me back.
With witchcraft, you get what you give. If you respect a spell’s instructions and perform it with faith, it will work. If you treat your tarot deck with regard, it will give you honest answers. Witchcraft yields results here and now, instead of promising eternal happiness after death.
2) It embraces who I am.
Witchcraft will never censor your truth by asking you to suppress your emotions. Pride, anger, greed, lust, envy… These are what make you human. And they are fuel for rituals. The craft teaches you how to harness and direct them, so you can live up to your potential.
3) It does not care about money.
Whether you use a $30 or a $3 candle will not affect the outcome of your spell. And the number of tarot decks, crystal balls and pendulums you own does not reflect how good a diviner you are. With witchcraft, faith and power are the only currencies that matter.
4) It allows me to avenge myself.
Turning the other cheek may sound nice. But it and self-love cannot co-exist. And in witchcraft, you have to love yourself before the occult allows you command it. The craft lets me practice self-love by giving back malice to anyone who sends it to me.
5) It allows me to help myself.
When your natural gifts are not enough to survive a challenge or accomplish a task, witchcraft lets you call upon the old gods and their minions for assistance. Spells that protect and disarm, heal and harm, grant and transcend are all at your fingertips.
6) It allows me to help others.
Witchcraft requires you to give back. But not through tithes or other taxes like that. Whenever you come across another soul who you think deserves your assistance, you can cast spells for them or perform divination on their behalf.
7) It lets me master myself.
Most people only know their conscious self. As a witch, you will be introduced to your other selves: your higher self and your shadow self. When the three of you have a strong understanding of one another, there is no obstacle you cannot conquer.
8) It lets me glimpse what is hidden.
Through divination, witchcraft allows you to witness things that have not yet come to pass. It also gives you access to the concealed present and the hidden past. This means you can look into people’s souls and see all their hidden motivations.
9) It dissolves my fears.
As a witch, you know that you are always where you are meant to be. Any unexpected, painful or tragic detours are only meant to reroute you to your true purpose. Witchcraft leads you to your true path. It is impossible to get lost.
10) I am the Pope of my religion.
Even though my family taught me the craft, I was given the chance to put that knowledge to the test. Nobody forced me to believe in anything that did not show itself to be true. And whenever I want to talk to my gods, I do not need a middle man. I always have a direct line.
