You know how the camp half-blood shirts are obnoxious bright orange and don't blend in at all. Well Chiron picked that colour for the camp shirts. And he's a horse man. I looked it up. Horses can't see red. And by extension can not see orange. So maybe Chiron picked orange for the camp shirts because to him it blends in. Even though it actually doesn't. But to him orange would blend in.
