No one needs to know she had a crush on Cyrus in the early stages of Team Galactic. When she was still under the impression he was not a sad sack of shit. And also her age and not a respectable, jaded, 30 something. What the fuck is that about, Cyrus, you shitlord? The social attitude regarding age is consistently getting weirder. You’re not ‘pushing 30’ you’re just in your late 20s. 30 is not old and neither is 40 while I’m at it. Growing older is an enormous privilege and displaying that age is a gorgeous component of life. Spending your days trying to reverse that grace breeds an eternally wasted life.

Even a former colleague. Someone she had considered family at one point paled in comparison to the somewhat pushy, definitely sleepy man pulling her back into his bed. The shirt Léna had pulled on smelled like a combination of Alistair and her own perfume, wrapping her physically and mentally in an homage to them. It was nice.

Her spot in his arms was still warm when she laid back in place. As if desperate to fill any space between them, she looped an arm around Alistair's ribs and kissed his collarbone. She'd never leave him. Not for anything, but this jealousy was going to need to be addressed. He's the best thing that ever happened to her. Why would she risk losing him to somebody below her standards? And it made it feel like he didn't entirely trust her, which hurt.
It made no sense, but she wasn't looking for a fight right now. That could wait. Instead, she held him a little closer and sighed.
"It was Mars. I haven't heard from her in almost a year."
"You should have thought better."
Surely, surely she knew better than that. Of all people to sleep through someone moving around near them, he would he the least likely. The look of disappointment on his face was as clear as day, perhaps he'd expected better from her. Perhaps he just didn't like being woken up. But the light he saw made certain that the former was likely true.
The hand dragged her back, gently, even if he was displeased. He couldn't be rough with her at the worst of times, let alone when he was barely awake.

It's entirely dependent on her partner.
If it's someone she doesn't care about, nah. She's gonna get hers and move on. Quick, clean, nothing extra.
