Still though, she presses on. “How many times have I had to convince you that YOU’RE who and what I want while you try to run under the guise of protecting me?” If you walk away, it's for you. Because I know what I want. Were they just two cursed lovers doomed to live in the same heart breaking cycle over and over and over again?  “I’m not proud that I kissed Damon because he was here and you weren’t, and I wish I could take it back, I wish I could take away what that did but I can’t.” Feels the tension swell in her throat, choking what momentum she had. Words shake and tears swell; still hates how frequent this reaction has become. “I’ve made mistakes, I know that - but loving you has never been one.”
