ELENA - Be her voice of reason ?? Like...Elena is so willing to throw herself into the fire or throw herself on the sword, I think having someone at her side who's willing and able to ground her and make her see that she is more than the sacrificial lamb she sees herself to be is huge in determining who she loves.

She hadn’t even realized she’d been making a face - though furrowed brows seemed to be a permeant fixture on her features these days. Usually she’d attempt to shrug off whatever look it was, slap a half hearted smile across her lips and pretend everything was fine -- but how could she do that now? How could she be anything but despondent at the sight of Tyler filling his bags one more time , and maybe this time it was for good. “Did you expect a going away party?” Brow quirks as she leans into the door frame, slender arms crossing over delicate frame, brown eyes watching him move about his room, noting that he only grabbed the essentials. Silence hangs in the room, both of them knowing full well there’s nothing to say to ease the other - to make this feel okay. So what exactly had she come here to do? Beg him to stay? Yell at him for being selfish enough to abandon them? None of it, not anger, not acceptance, fixed the grief she felt at losing him. “If you’re really going to do this just --” Feet unknowingly carry her deeper into his space; she was a different person the last time she’d been here, but so was he. Young and stupid and maybe even happy. Fingers reach for his, stopping further packing to brush her thumb against the back of his hand. “Come back, okay?” Come back to them. Come back to her. SURVIVE. “Come home, Tyler.”

Still though, she presses on. “How many times have I had to convince you that YOU’RE who and what I want while you try to run under the guise of protecting me?” If you walk away, it's for you.
