F.R.I.E.N.D.S Legacy Challenge TS4

The TV show Friends has always meant a lot to my life, with my mother watching it when she was pregnant with me and it being something we both bonded over! One day, during work, I started thinking of a legacy challenge based on the different characters!

Disclaimer: Only after finishing writing the challenge did I realize that someone in 2019 made a similar challenge, though they have similarities they are not the exact same, therefore I’m still going to publish the challenge. But please check out their challenge and support them here.

General Rules:

No money cheats allowed, only use freerealestate for moving in the first generation

You can live/move around anywhere unless a generation specifies.

Play lifespan as normal, unless you want to stress yourself out!

If not specified, you can marry/have as many kids as you want!

Generation One {Monica}:

"rules are good. rules help control the fun"

You always grew up being the least favorite child, and a bit of an ugly duckling. So, you moved away from your family home into an apartment as soon as you could! You have a huge passion for cooking and dream to one day open your own restaurant! As you were too busy with your career, you realized you never had time to settle down and have a baby, so you eventually adopt! You love cleaning as a stress outlet, and you live with your two best friends!

Traits: Neat, Foodie, Perfectionist

Aspiration: Master Chef

Career: Chef

Rules:

Master Chef career and complete Master Chef aspiration

Can choose to open restaurant once level 5 in chef career

Master Cooking and Gourmet Cooking skills

Live with roommates as a YA

Adopt a baby girl as an adult

Everyone thinks you have a perfect life, you are well off thanks to your parents and are engaged to the ‘dream’ man. But, at your wedding you leave him at the alter and move out of your home! After being cut off by your family, you have to make it yourself to achieve your dream of being in Fashion! But all that is put on hold when you fall pregnant from a ONS! How will you juggle it all?

Traits: High Maintenance, Self Assured, Ambitious

Aspiration: Soulmate

Career: Style Influencer

Rules:

Leave a sim at the alter

Work as a Barista part-time for all of your teen life

Have only one child with a ONS

Master the Style Influencer career and the Soulmate Aspiration

Move out of family home after failed engagement

Generation Three {Joey}:

"how you doin?"

A normal 9-5 career was never going to be for you, so that’s exactly what you didn’t do! You stepped into the spotlight and made it work as an actor, though it was difficult at times. Even as an adult, you were still childish and were always cracking jokes. You’re a romantic at heart and go on a lot of dates, before settling down with your coworker.

Traits: Lazy, Romantic, Goofball.

Aspiration: Serial Romantic

Career: Actor

Rules:

Master Acting career and complete Serial Romantic Aspiration

Don’t settle down until an Adult

Always live in an apartment

Order takeout once a week

Master Comedy and Acting skills

Have twin girls

When you were a teen, your parents died leaving you alone with your sister. After tension between you two , you decided to pack up your bags and leave, becoming homeless. You busked on the streets to make ends meet and eventually worked your way up the entertainment career! You meet the love of your life in the street and fall pregnant, where you peruse your new ambition -- becoming a mother.

Traits: Glutton, Outgoing, Creative.

Aspiration: City Native

Career: Entertainer

Must cheat to kill parents when this gen is a teen

Become enemies with your twin sister

Be homeless until you earn enough money for rent

After growing up trying to make ends meet, you are determined to make money -- no matter what. But, your dead end career in Business leads you to become unhappy. So, you quit your job as an adult and bounce around careers until you retire. You fall for your neighbor, and eventually move into a new home together.

Traits: Bro, Genius, Ambitious.

Aspiration: Renaissance Sim

Career: Business, then two of your choice.

Rules:

Earn a Diploma with honors in High School

Quit your job as an adult

Reach level 4 in 3 different careers

Only move out of an apartment when married as an elder

You've always been a little... Odd? While other kids loved spaceships, you loved Dinosaurs. You focus on your studies as a teen and neglect friendships. But, always keep in touch with your one best friend. You eventually join the education career, to fulfill your love of knowledge -- but you always keep true to your childhood ambitions. You're a hopeless romantic and get married.. a few times. Then divorced. But finally settle down. During a 'break' you cheat on your partner, but you spend the rest of your life making it up to them!

Traits: Geek, Romantic, Loner

Aspiration: Archaeology Scholar

Career: Education

Rules:

Cheat on partner, break up, then get back together as adults

Get married twice

Share an apartment with best friend as a YA

Complete Archaeology Scholar aspiration and Education Career

this post is a repost of my challenge, i feel like it didn't get enough love so i wanted to try again!

Improved Infants v1.0

Infants needed some QoL improvements. This mod improves the pie menu for newborns and infants, making the most important interactions easier to access, and disables autonomy for glitchy actions like 'Watch Infant'. It also increases the speed of unlocking gross motor milestones like Sitting Up and Crawling when doing Tummy Time and Practice Sitting/Crawling.

Here's an overview of the mod:

It takes around 16 sessions total of tummy time and practice sitting/crawling to unlock Sit Up and Crawl in the vanilla game. With this mod, you can get your infant crawling within 10 sessions.

Between the Pines | Goodbye, Echo Canyon 1.1

the big day has finally arrived. it's time for the aguirres to say goodbye to echo canyon...the place they've called home for over two decades. ines, to her family's annoyance, has had her camcorder glued to her hand all day capturing and savoring every last moment...

Let's call 'Between the Pine's a working title for now. I don't even want to talk about how much time I spent on this post... posing, staging, reposing, etc. I also use SRWE so each picture takes like 5 mins. And considering I apparently took 76 pictures (see below) to only use like 7....I'm so done (with myself). Need to lean more into chill gameplay and avoid going the rabbit hole of perfectly posing each post...BUT love how this turned out regardless...

Uberhood 2024 Update By AnotherPlumbob (CC free)

The Uberhood is an ongoing PROJECT where I’m creating a Cc-free savefile, with all the worlds and lore from The Sims 2 ported to The Sims 4. 

NOTE: In this update I've revamped PLEASANTVIEW only - if you were interested in the other worlds or premades, please note they remain exactly as they were in the previous versions.

It currently includes

1.- Remade Worlds

Pleasantview (Newcrest+Willow Creek)

Strangetown (Strangerville+Oasis Springs)

Veronaville (Windenburg)

Bluewater Promenade (Magnolia Promenade)

Three Lakes (Granite Falls)

Bluewater Bay [only partially built] (Brindleton Bay)

All the career lots (detective, hospital and science lab).

BEWARE: the rest of the worlds are either empty, half built or a mess in general.

2.- Families

The save includes all the premade families as well as the iconic townies that lived in those worlds in The Sims 2 times. They all have jobs, relationships, sentiments, lifestyles, reputations, etc. For Pleasantview sims only I've also included more lore in the form of milestones, added traits, midlife crisis, etc.

3. Required packs and How to Install (PLEASE READ)

THE SAVE IS CC-FREE BUT ALL EXPANSION, GAME PACKS,STUFF PACKS AND KITS RELEASED UP UNTIL MARCH 2024. 

If you don’t have all packs, sims may be half naked, and/or bald and stuff may be missing. Install at your own risk. 

In order to install:

BACK UP YOUR SAVES.

Download the the SAVE file.

Put the save in your SAVES folder.  Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 4 > Saves. I changed the name of the file so that it will hopefully not overwrite any of your saves (including the previous v1). If your system prompts you to overwrite a save, do not click yes. Just change the name of the save (keep it 8 numbers but change the numbers) and try again.

Optional: Put the .package file (StrangetownTexts.package) in your mods folder. This file is used to change the Strangerville mystery a bit, and turn it into the Strangetown mystery (with custom texts, references to the Bella mystery, etc.). Please install it if you want to have some clues on what happened to Bella!! 

4. Play Order

There’s really no set play order but note that:

1.- Brandi Broke is pregnant and will give birth in 3 days regardless of who you play and regardless of whether aging is on or off, so play with her first if you want to be there for the birth.

2.- Same thing applies to Pascal Curious, who’s also pregnant at the start of the save.

5. Disclaimer and TOU

I’m just one person and there may be some bugs here or there, or naked sims or whatever. Feel free to report any bugs you find but I will only fix them if I consider them super relevant or game breaking, otherwise the save is provided as is and you install it at your own risk.

Also please don't waste your breath asking me to do X world, or add lore to Veronaville or Strangetown or whatever, because I will only do it if and when I'm inspired to do it - and the requests quite honestly stress me out.
