i wanted to speak on this but i think i found/reblogged it when i was half asleep and about to go to bed.

if returning customers either one, think they're so special and valuable enough they're immune to price changes, i don't want 'em anyway. this business practice isn't a new concept ANYWHERE. i can't go to the grocery store today and say 'hey, i bought this box of cat food 4 years ago for half the price (which is true, my cats' food cost double now what it used to cost in 2020) and i'm a returning customer i should get this at the price it was 4 years ago'. creatives have to adjust their prices for inflation as well.

but two, returning customers should respect artists and be willing to pay more for the quality of art they're returning for in the first place? like, u liked my art so much before but ur not willing to pay a bit more for it now, even tho u know i'd provide timely, quality product again? kinda ick on u, art customer.

but also also, artists SHOULD be constantly adjusting their prices ANYWAY, inflation affecting their ability to continue a living off their art or not. as u continue learning, growing skill, becoming better at doing commissions, u SHOULD raise ur prices for being able to provide bigger and better art, quicker. that's VALUABLE.

anyways. if u hate artists, just say u hate artists. we need money to live, too. art is a luxury, not a necessity etc etc. there's plenty more clients out there who respect working creatives. move along and stop wasting everyone's time if ur not willing to support artists the way they should be.

idk why i'm actually so excited for it cos a couple months ago i was like that shit is still running?

but the past few months with everything going on in life, i started watching old seasons to cope cos i miss old trash tv and got really into it LOL

i forgot to share a cute tote bag i had gotten last weekend cos i promptly stuffed yarn and a new project in it asdkjlf

but i visited a smallish, nearby ren faire (it was more like a market but still cute) and found someone selling merch with art on it that had a really cute, vintage-y style/feel art style to it.

i'm really glad i found it and their shop bc their art is really cute ~

i refuse to share/show art on this website or any other that implements the usage of environment killing, resource wasting theftware (genai etc). artists and creatives work hard for their skills and deserve credit, compensation and respect. pick up a pencil and do the work if u want to be one of us.
