Opening any and all doors for you is a must. If you even think about opening your own door when he's anywhere nearby, he will leap in front of you, completely cutting you off, and do it for you, with the declaration that you are far too special to have to do such a thing. He is the man in this relationship, and he insists that it is his job to pamper you with whichever needless favor is required.

You need something? A drink? A massage? A plate of cold leftovers? You'll get it, honey.

He is at attention the very moment you call his name, even if he's in another room. Oftentimes, you can't even finish your sentence, and he dashes in so fast that he has slipped and fallen on his face more than once.

"Cody, are...are you okay?"

"I'm perfect, ángel! What really matters here is you!"

If you somehow get hurt in any way, he is right there with you, making sure you're alright, trying to help bandage the wounds (how minor they may be), and rambling like a nervous wreck.

If you wanna soothe him, place a hand on his head, look into his eyes calmly, and reassure him everything's fine.

He will melt under your touch, nod, and release a murmured, "o-okay..."

He'll still insist on taking care of you, though.

To be honest, Cody is a ridiculously polite simp no matter what scenario you put him in lmao.

He studied the picture on your phone for a moment before he tilted his head, a strange sparkle appearing in his eyes. "Yeah... Who are they?"

"Oh, I don't know," you said, shrugging your shoulders as you continued to look down at the screen. "I just couldn't help but think about us when I saw it, that's why it caught my attention."

Cody furrowed his eyebrows when those words left your mouth and he glanced over at you, wanting to make sure he heard correctly. "What does that mean?"

"Ya know...the idea of marriage and stuff." You met his gaze, your expression steadily becoming sheepish when he seemed taken off-guard. "I—I mean, you think about things like that too, right?"

Slowly, an excited grin spread across his cheeks, one so wide that his teeth began to show through. "I do. All the time."

"...Really?" He nodded and wrapped his arms around you, nuzzling his head against your shoulder.

"Yeah... Cause I wanna make you allllll mine someday. Like, really badly."

"Cody..." you giggled, trying to keep your balance as your finger tangled into his hair. "The feeling is mutual."

"That's good..." he cooed, tightening his hold slightly. "We can't have a one-sided marriage, after all. That would be silly."

"I suppose it would."

Jane Everlasting/GN Reader Headcanons

Jane is one of the, shall we say...tamer Creeps that live in the Manor, for multiple reasons.

It was initially a little difficult to befriend her since she always isolates herself from the group and doesn't interact with anyone outside of what her job requires, but you were persistent, and that broke her over time.

Plus, she saw how you treated everybody and came to realize that you weren't as unkind as the others.

Being friends with her would include lots of binge-watching random shit at 3AM, cuddling under a fuzzy blanket when it got cold, and falling asleep on the bed.

You would also most definitely wake up with multiple bruises the next day - Jane is a sleep-kicker, you see.

Also sometimes a sleep-puncher.

She always profusely apologizes for beating you up when you weren't even awake to defend yourself, but let her off the hook. She didn't mean it.

It would still be wise to make sure a pillow is between you and her each time you think you'll doze off, ya know. For safety.

Jane rarely lets her softer side show through because she's surrounded by cold-blooded killers all the live long day and that kinda requires a badass facade, just so you don't become the prey.

But when she's alone with you, that cold exterior comes crumbling down, and she'll allow herself to laugh and have a good time.

She's a very calm, quiet, mature person, which also means she doesn't participate in any crazy antics, and she watches from the sidelines with silent ridicule when anything like that happens.

She is very much the 'mom' friend, and will never fail to scold you if you're doing something reckless or stupid. Yet she will also make sure you're taking care of yourself and will be there for you when you need it.

When she trusts you, I mean really trusts you, she will make sure that you, Toby, and herself all hang out together since Toby is her honorary little brother and all, and it's only right that her bestie gets along with the one person she cares about most in this cruel world.

If you and Toby end up not liking each other, she will be heartbroken.

Of course, she'll still spend time with both of you - separately - but she wanted all of you to be close to each other!

If, however, you do bond, she'll definitely invite you into the book club she and Toby formed, and you'll officially be a part of the clan!

She considers you family and wouldn't hesitate to lay down her life for you if it was needed. A very loyal gal, this one is.

Once you actually get her to love you, she's a friend for life! The only thing that could ever break that is if you soiled her trust in some major way. Don't do that to her 🥺
