HI THERE!! my name is retto, i use they/them pronouns and i’m kinda newish in the simblr community, i had a really old blog back in the day that i no longer have access to and i’ve been gone from the community for a long while.

i’m maxi match with a little bit of alpha influence! i really enjoy creating sims over gameplay but i do have a legacy that i’m working on in the works! i also really enjoy editing sims!

fucking hell, a godsend

Do you have any tips on how stay motivated with a household, I always get so bored :/

sure!! i definitely understand where you’re coming from, ive had many saves i’ve abandoned out of sheer boredom. a couple tips i have are (sorry i kinda rambled skjddskdk)

1. just figuring out what makes u get burned out of a household. personally, i hate when sims are toddlers for too long lmao, it instantly makes me wanna quit playing with a household, so i just used mcc to shorten it. just little things like that can help!

2. mods mods mods mods. ts4 can seem borderline unplayable without mods. even little ones like the memorable events mod by kawaiistacie can really enhance your gameplay! my resources page has the ones i used but theres dozens more out there, just pick which ones interest you!

3. celebrating events and after school activities. this seems like such a small thing but it honestly is my fave thing to do in the game. you just gotta be extra as hell skdjk. have a sim aging up? instead of just baking a cake and blowing out the candles at home, maybe throw a bday party at their fav restaurant with all their friends. or have ur newlywed sims go on a honeymoon. or if you have get together, make a scouting club with all the child sims in the neighborhood and go camping. or make an after school swimming or basketball club and place down a rec center where they meet up. again, this seems really minor but if youre starving for child/teen activities like me its really fun!

4. take breaks!!! when im bored with a household or ts4 in general i just stop playing for a while. ive gone like weeks without playing and then suddenly i wanna play everyday skdjkd. sometimes, if youre not feelin it youre just not feelin it. usually watching other simmers on youtube or other people’s posts on here gives me ideas and such and inspire me to hop back in!

5. play with an aspect of the game you never have. idk if its just me, but sometimes i get stuck just playing with the same aspirations/career i always do. maybe complete the jungle adventure gameplay, or move to a world u never play in, or have a child in scouts, or open a retail shop. i never play active careers and rn im trying it out!

6. lastly, know when to move on. this more so applies if youre a legacy simmer like me, but once a generation has run its course, don’t be afraid to move your next gen out and start all over! once hakim from my legacy reached level 10 of his career, maxed all his skills, and had like 80k saved i knew i was gonna get bored if i kept playing w/ him considering i pretty much did did all i can, so i moved on to the next!
