So the other day, the fire alarm went off in my house. When I came down for dinner, my mom asked why i hadn't come down earlier. I had no clue what she was talking about. She then explained how a thin peice of bacon cooked faster than the rest rest and started burning. Supposedly, she went through the process of pulling out, discarding the burnt pieces, ect ect. Before turning off the alarm.

I told her i didn't hear a single thing and that I was asleep. According to her, she thought i always sleepily turned off or ignored alarms. But no, i sleep like the dead and that's terrifying to her.
