Synopsis: Final part of these episodes. The 'students' are divided into two teams for a debate moderated by Yoongi

Production: To this day, i do not understand why they didn't keep to the original teams. It makes absolutely no sense. Whatever. The mint choco debate is our first iteration of seeing BTS perform this act, we'll see it many more times in the future, so obviously, the concept works. Having the guys come up with the forbidden words for each other is a nice little twist. The scoring is so not clear either. They lost points for each time they got sprayed, I think??

Endearment: The guys absolutely do a great job with the debate activity. it's a great showcase of their personalities and the reason why we'll see this again.

Winner: RM, JN, V

Loser: JK, JM, JH

Best Cheater: none

Member Moments:

RM: I feel like the mintchoco debate is one of those silly areas where young RM gave himself total permission to be absolutely ridiculous. and he is thriving.

JN: Jin just absolutely taking the water without attempting to avoid it.

YG: The one downfall of the debate format, they dont actually empower the moderators. so they just get to react to what the participants are doing. Yoongi tries by attempting to lead the designated times for responses to each side, but it doesn't really work.

JH: Dear sweet beloved Hobi. He's just PERPLEXED every time he's sprayed, but he doesn't try it over to test out his words. bless his pure little heart.

JM: JM leading the betrayal of Hobi by choosing laughing.

V: Tae was pretty quiet for most of it but when he did share his final thoughts during the debate, he got flagged so many times. JM knew exactly what to select as his trap words!

JK: Not JK immediately figuring out one of his words and then forgetting about it later on!

Bonus Content: honestly, not very impressed with this one. it was cute seeing tae literally countdown 30sec before he had to speak.

When I think of Serendipity, I think of the choreography. Perhaps we have another Brian Puspos work coming up?? We KNOW the company got a hold of him last year.

Synopsis: The guys are at a Manga cafe, completing various minigames on the same team to earn snacks.

Production: I love this concept but there are some definite execution problems. the people counting game is great, but it loses so much by having to blur the books. They should have worked out a rights deal or done something different. the fill-in-the-blank game was another good idea, i guess? Definitely not non-Manga-Reader-Friendly which is fine but only showing the clue to us for a brief flash? they easily could have done an overlay on the bottom of the screen to have the clue visible the whole time the guys were working on them... the menu game was just confusing and obviously not set up fairly in the first place

Endearment: I've said it before, and I'll say it again, i absolutely love seeing people excited by their joys and frivolous passions. It's clear all of these guys have some interest in manga and enjoyed having this as a concept.

Best Cheater: staff...prepping a book for the ppl counting challenge that gave them an advantage

RM: RMs Naruto run was so heckin adorable

JN: Honestly shocked that Jin didn't take the Jin manga that Hobi found. Maybe he was thinking he NEEDED one that he was familiar with?

YG: Always good to hear Suga's passion for Slam Dunk

JH: Hobi is so entertaining when he's right about something. when he got that menu item and no one was listening to him, then they turned the answers all to him.

JM: Loving JM picking up on JKs singing of 21st century girl.

V: Tae being so passionate about that pokemon line section. he tried so hard!

JK: JK asking for the menu, he was stepping into his food-focus.

Bonus Content: Again, doesnt really feel like much extra. its interesting that they came to this specific cafe because VMin had been there before.

I'm only very tangentially aware of Eric Nam and I have no clue who the other guy is but I really enjoyed listening to this chat today. Some really interesting viewpoints on the industry. Feel free to share your thoughts if you do listen to it.
