I know I haven't really been active on this account recently. The little time I've had recently for tumblr has been keeping @bts-polls running and trying to make progress on my Run BTS series on my main. (I once remember thinking if I stuck to a schedule, I'd be done by the time Jin returned 😅🤣😂).

But I want you all to know how comforted I personally am by so many of you even being interested in the topic of aspecs exploring kpop. If any of you see any posts you think would be relevant to this group, please tag this account and I'll be sure to share!

Run BTS: 058 | BTS Chef part 2

Original Air Date: 08 JAN 2019 Episode Length: 33:17 Total Parts: 2 YouTube English Subtitles: No Title Song: Idol

Synopsis: Continuation of the previous part. The guys are now cooking their assigned dishes.

Production: This episode honestly feels too chaotic for me. The coverage is cramped and there are a lot of shots where the audience isn't really directed where to focus their eyes even with the audio cues. This is an easy one for the casual watcher to get lost in purely due to the production and not because of a complex concept.

Endearment: The guys themselves seem a bit affected by the chaos. They either don't get great screentime because they're focusing on the task at hand or it's hammed up (I'm looking at you RM and Hobi!)

Winner: RM, YG, JH

Loser: JM, V

Best Cheater: I'm so tempted to list RM and Hobi for getting EVERYONE to help them with their only assingment, but I think I'll actually choose Jimin and V for the salt in Suga's drink. Our wonderful little slytherin.

Member Moments:

RM: RM and Hobi starting off hot with thinking a salad spinner is a blender. bless their hearts

JN: Jin, thank goodness you were babysitting the 94z and stopped them from using the other team's pasta as garlic!

YG: Again, my favorite aspect of Yoongi's personality: his quiet confidence. he just does what he needs to and isn't bothered by the chaos around him.

JH: Hobi literally getting Jin to help them strip the basil leaves 🤣😂😆

JM: Jimin is absolutely demonstrating his competence this episode as well.

V: Ah, V waiting most of the episode for the water to boil.

JK: JK, ever the helpful maknae

Run BTS: 059 | Run BTS in Hotel part 1

Synopsis: The guys are divided into 3 teams and play various games whilst sitting on a (very dirty) hotel room floor. seriously, that floor is so gross, it's obvious they just moved a couch out of the way for this.

Production: There's no way this was the intent for this episode, right?? They clearly had to just come up with SOMETHING. they didn't even have a fun way to divide teams. Games that utilize BTS's discography are always a great choice though with relatively low requirements to prep.

Endearment: There's just something off about these episodes for me. i think it's something to do with how the guys are so confined and basically having to spend the whole episode in their heads answering quiz questions. they do the best they can with it, but I don't see any moments in this episode being a pull to entice ppl to learn more about these guys if they weren'talready invested.

RM: I fee like RM felt such pressure with the translation game.

JN: Jin not being able to keep track of his team name. i feel you buddy!

YG: Yoongi did so great with that translation song. lol

JH: Hobi's gestures during the Not Today translation and dancing during Dope!

JM: Im loving Jimin imitating the sounds during the song game and then Yoongi joining him. i am right there with you guys, i couldnt hear most of those either.

V: Tae's adorable lack of confidence guessing the song parts and then getting so many effortlessly.

JK: Nice steal of the DNA answer. this is truthfully the only one I guessed myself

Bonus Content: there's really not much to it. mostly the same moments from the ep, just from the wide angles.

They drop this on the D-Day anniversary?? Please, I can't handle it. It's so heckin cute and just absolutely radiates Yoongi's personality. The Jimin clip was so adorable.

I actually went and saw the concert film at a theater yesterday. Overall, I liked it, but it's absolutely been genericized to not be confusing to an audience that doesn't know anything about BTS, a little disappointing but oh well. There was only one other person in my theater, so I felt like I was just comfortably chilling, absolutely what I needed right now in my life.

LAST CALL: Do you have a BTS-related ringtone?

May I share the delusional train of thought I had the other day? It went like this:

First: We should pool our manifesting powers to get Letter as an official track on PJM2 so that we can get it the recognition it deserves.

Second: I remembered how utterly overjoyed I was when Promise was added to Spotify. I spent a loooong time thinking that was going to be my peak all-time favorite song. When FACE was released, I was legitimately devastated that I was back in the same boat of finding an alternate method to regularly access my new all-time favorite song.

Third: I had the thought, what if Jimin releases a song I love even more than Letter?? It honestly doesn't seem possible to me at this point but I will absolutely not underestimate where Park Jimin is concerned.

Finally: what if this new song actually featured JK? Not just as backing vocals, but a legit collaboration. From day one, I always thought of Letter as the sequel to Promise. Well, what will now be the sequel to Letter??
