Dacey, the she bear

"There's a carving in our gate," said Dacey. "A woman in a bearskin, with a child in one arm suckling at her breast. In her other hand she holds a battleaxe. She's no proper lady, that one, but I always loved her."

Honestly We Dont Talk Enough About Meera Reed. Not Only Are The Reeds Super Interesting And Mysterious

honestly we don’t talk enough about meera reed. not only are the reeds super interesting and mysterious or whatever but like she’s also the only person i completely have respect for in the whole series. i mean when you look at the posse of people meera currently has with her you got her incredibly weak and malnourished psychic fifth grade brother who is always ominously talking about when he will die, a disabled and also psychic fourth grader who is your liege lord, a very strong but developmentally disabled man who is disabled due to aforementioned psychic fourth grader (though she doesn’t know this yet), and an undead creature who proclaims himself a monster and we know nothing about. she’s the most competent person there, actively trying to take care of them despite the fact she’s currently in an arctic wasteland in winter and she is from a swamp and can’t remember her last winter which happened when she was a baby (because she is max 18 years old) and you know what? she keeps going. she doesn’t know what’s happening, where she’s going, or even truly who she is with, but she just keeps going. mad respect. she’s struggling through the snow despite being pretty small compared to coldhands or hodor but she keeps up? hunts for real food for them instead of just “pork”. is being pursued by the horrors beyond your comprehension. meera baby you deserve the world.

Reflection from Mulan was so crazy she literally sang “If I were truly to be myself I would break my family’s heart” and 8 year old proto-gay me was like “I don’t know what you mean but I know what you mean”

Hey kids, remember that sage piece of advice not to pick on your skin? I hope you're good at following it. I haven't been for the past twenty years and it was fine, really, untill today I woke up really hurting and unable to open my left eye because a pimple I repeatedly popped and squeezed inflamed. I have cellulites and I'm hospitalized taking intravenous antibiotics every four hours for at least the next three days to deter any chance of sepsis.

Thinking about all the fics set in a pre modern world where characters die of blood poisoning after minor wounds.

The Last Dragon The Targaryens Ever Hatched, According To The Books, Was Described As A Green Female,

The last dragon the Targaryens ever hatched, according to the books, was described as a green female, "small and stunted with withered wings", and was said to be sickly, though laying five eggs which never hatched. A skull later displayed in the throne room was later described as being "no bigger than a mastiff's skull, and oddly misshapen", likely belonging to her.

I'd seen quite a few fanart of the unnamed last dragon and they usually depicted her with an aspect of majesty and beauty, which sounded odd for what was the dying gasp of a once-powerful empire. So my take on the last dragon is the opposite, an absolutely pitiful and grotesquely deformed freak of nature, with basically everything possible wrong with her, at a glance clearly something not bound to have lived very long. Clubbed feet, a kinked tail, a severely shortened upper jaw that caused painful breathing and eating difficulties, a crooked neck, and said withered wings being hideously disfigured, one berely functional as a forelimb to hobble around on and the other a useless appendage with tangled digits. Unable to breathe fire, fly, or be used for riding in combat, she is a perfect representation of the Targaryen dynasty in its final years: frail, impotent, and a mere pathetic shadow of the glory and fearsomeness of its forebearers.

@mummer Criston Cole Being More Important In A Feast For Crows 170 Years After His Death Than He Is In

@mummer criston cole being more important in a feast for crows 170 years after his death than he is in fire and blood when he’s alive and mostly just going to locations is so special to me. everyone has polished a mirror into his gleaming kingsguard armor and looked at themselves to ask: what does it say about the world if i have the power to change history with a single decisive action? what does that say about me? do knights serve a cause or a king? what if those conflict? what does it mean to exist at the intersection of political, personal, and systemic violence? but during his life he does not appear to have weighed those questions in his own mind at all. too busy trying to figure out more synonyms for jezebel that he can call rhaenyra i guess
