w/o a doubt this record’s absolute standout. CHANGE. MY. MIND. HEAUXS.

i think this album will grow more on me as time progresses. i still prefer modern vampires of the city for now but this is a solid 8.5/10. funny how i doubted them at first when this era was just beginning to roll out because of the singles theyve released....only to find out that theyre actually the worst. ezra, his MIND

this damn song kept on playing in my head while i was trying to be productive earlier and now it’s  420 am and im on my lunch break and im hiding myself from my peers because im crying over the sheer amount of love i have for this woman

finally got a hold of a physical copy of murakami’s men w/o women (a hardbound one, no less!) after 958647 years.... ;u; i have an electronic copy of it so ive obviously read it before but i still went for it. 

you see, whenever murakami releases a collection of short stories, there’s a high possibility that one of the chapters will eventually emerge as a whole novel. clearly, the standouts for me were ‘kino’ and ‘samsa in love’. kino has all the prototypical elements of a classic murakami work. i obviously dont know how things will pan out if it ends up someday as a novel because DUH, it’s murakami and the paradigm/reality alters every 10 seconds in his novels so.... *shrugs* samsa in love, on the other hand, has a more offbeat/darker/fucked up approach to things, like hard-boiled wonderland and a wild sheep chase. i wouldnt be mad if both chapters end up as novels in the future though.
