In which Ranpo and Chuuya has a secret place where they always go when they're exhausted, hurt, happy, excited, or they just want to meet each other. Only for them, only.

A certain "world famous" detective was seen sitting on the grass eating sweets he brought. He seems to be enjoying it, though he eats it like there's no tomorrow he left some untouched..? Bushes behind him seems to be moving, Ranpo looks at it while smiling widely. The ginger haired executive came out of the bushes, he stopped to brush off the leafs that was sticking to him before he walked to the detective. Chuuya sat beside Ranpo and let out a sigh.

"Another hard mission?" Ranpo grabbed the untouched sweets and passed onto Chuuya, he took it and opened the candy wrap.

"Boss gave me lots of difficult missions today, not like i can't handle it.." He grumbled while eating the candy he opened. Ranpo laid down on Chuuya's lap, Chuuya's hand finds a way to the detective hair to play with it. It was soft.

"The sunset is very pretty today.. Don't you think fancy hat?" Ranpo snickered.

Chuuya let out a chuckle, he got used to the username Ranpo uses for him. "It was more pretty because you're here."

It wasn't the first time they watched the sunset together. Spending time together without anyone knowing about their relationship in a place no one besides them know, it was pretty comforting. Ranpo that was too lazy to move around started going out to meet Chuuya more often, everyone in the ADA wondered where Ranpo keeps running off to. While Chuuya will always finish his missions early to meet Ranpo. They spent times for hours. Listening to each other's rant, Chuuya's tough missions or Cases Ranpo took and finish within minutes. It's like looking at teenagers who fell in love for the first time. Sweet and pure, they would cherish every moment and wouldn't waste any minute.

Unfortunately not everything will be sweet like candy.

"The sunset is very pretty, isn't it Chuuya..? " Ranpo let out a sad chuckle. Looking at the certain fedora beside him. It's getting pretty lonely for Ranpo.. His lover isn't with him anymore after all. All that left are his past memories with Chuuya and his fedora hat. If only Ranpo could prevent that incident. All thats left now is regret and sadness.

Y/N POV

Ever since you were a kid, you believe you will never fall in love. For you, love is useless and could cause a heartbreak once it's over. Until you meet someone who changed your mind. You wonder how could you like someone who's mean and arrogant, it was the painter Edgar Valden. You managed to be friends with him, everyday you wake up feeling excited to meet him. Feeling special because he's only friends with you, you had a feeling he likes you back.

Until that day you two were hanging out in the manor's library to watch Edgar paint. It was so quiet you could hear his brush strokes. After a while, the library door opened revealing the "prisoner" and postman. They were chatting together, Edgar raised his head and his eyes widened.

"Edgar? Are you alright? " You tapped his shoulder and he snap out of his trance. He fake coughed and nodded.

"Who is that with the blonde hair? "

"Oh that's the new survivor! His name is Victor Grantz, he's a postman. You should see his dog though, it's so cute! " You laughed.

Edgar hummed in reply and from that day on, he started acting weird. His face would randomly turns red whenever he was going to paint and he started going to the library more often. At first you think nothing of it but then it kinda concerns you so you decided to ask him.

"You've been acting weird these past days.. Are you alright Edgar? " His face turns red again and he sighed.

"I guess it's time to tell you.. I.. " You realized something and had a little hope he would confess to you. You nodded telling him to go on.

"I have a crush on Victor! " He huffed, you felt your heart dropped to your stomach.

Victor? But you rarely sees them together.. Plus he was only here for 5 days! You hold the urge to cry and smiled.

"I'm friends with Victor, if you want I can introduce you to him? " His eyes brighten and he held both your hands.

"Are you sure? That would be amazing! When are you going to do it? "

"Of course! we are best friends after all. Why not now? Cmon let's go to the library to meet him! " You lead him to the library still holding your tears.

They both started dating after 3 months, unfortunately you haven't moved on yet. Your heart sank everytime you saw them holding hands or laughing together. Ever since you introduced them, Edgar was seen hanging out with Victor more than you. Luca knows you love Edgar and he has been by your side to comfort you. He knows it's still hard to win your heart when you still love that certain painter. You sobbed into his arms, can't take the pain anymore.

"Love hurts so bad isn't it? "
