Make A Wish [Klaus X Reader]

Make a Wish [Klaus x Reader]

Make A Wish [Klaus X Reader]

This adorable little fic was requested by anonymous ✨️

You were sitting alone in the office, dim artificial glow of multiple computer screens illuminating your face. Just keeping an eye on some code running and listening to the quiet ambience of clocks and distant cars.

The last thing Klaus said floating through your mind. His attempt to pull Steven out after his fourth straight night without sleep.

"[Name] is more than capable of handling being alone for a while." Klaus marched his friend out the door to the elevator, "I'll be back soon [Name]. Please don't hesitate to call if anything goes wrong."

You were so grateful to be facing away from the door. Having held up just a thumbs up to let him know you heard. And you knew Klaus was just being nice as he always was. The perfect gentleman.

But that didn't stop you from blushing at the monitor in front of you. You've had a crush on Klaus for so long, ever since you joined Libra to be honest. You just lacked the spine to talk to him for too long...let alone tell him how you felt.

Now, leaning back in your chair. Knowing Klaus and Steven would be back soon enough. All Klaus was making him do was get some fresh air and something to eat.

Someone like Klaus could easily have anyone he wanted. And it would take a miracle for you to get out of your own head over this. So it was best to try and let it go.

Facing down world ending threats, easy. Can do this all day, let's go.

Telling the person you like how strongly you feel towards them, nope. No can do, get me out of here.

Your eyes wandered to the massive picture window leading to the balcony. The fog was particularly thin tonight, several tiny dots on a no moon night. It was really so romantic that it was almost a sin to be at work. You should be out enjoying a soft and sweet evening.

"Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket..."

You didn't know why you were singing to the empty office, but looking out at a starry sky made you think of so many songs.

"Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket. Hope it never fades away."

Klaus was more than happy to leave Steven napping in the car. He needed the rest, especially after as many coffees and energy drinks as he's undoubtedly downed.

The elevator dinged quietly and Klaus was careful to open the door to the office slowly. He didn't want to scare you. It was late, and you hadn't slept in a couple nights yourself. But Klaus stopped in the doorway, your voice had his complete attention.

"If only I could actually tell Klaus how I felt." You were wishing out loud after seeing a star streak across the sky, "I wish I had the courage to say I love him."

Klaus could only really feel his heart beating. You loved him? He wasn't asleep himself, correct? He felt like so much weight was suddenly lifted off his shoulders. He should say something.

All he could do was clear his throat, which still made you jump. Something Klaus still felt a little guilty over. The way you'd looked so pensive earlier had been so very gorgeous, but the blushy, doe-eyed looked you were giving him now. Klaus felt you were absolutely precious, so very cute and attractive no matter how you looked.

"I-um...How. How much of that did you...hear?" You half shrunk in your chair, "How...uh how long have you been standing there?"

Klaus stepped closer slowly, knowing you were more embarrassed than scared, "I heard you wishing to tell me how you felt. If there was anything else, I didn't hear it."

You turned and held your head in your hands with a groan. Oh god, this wasn't how you wanted to do this. He was going to think the worst of you now, you just knew it.

Klaus sat down, scooting his chair closer, "I suppose it was a wish that was meant to come true immediately. Since you did indeed say how you felt about me."

You gulped, "I...This. Wasn't how I thought it would happen."

Klaus glanced at the monitors, code running steadily. He needed to be honest with you as well. Yet it was proving rather difficult.

"I...honestly." Klaus struggled to speak, it was a properly romantic evening so why was this so hard to do? "I feel the same way about you. Perhaps I should have said so earlier?"

You couldn't believe your ears. Maybe you were just passed out and dreaming. This...this couldn't be reality. But Klaus had trailed off into silence, one quick glance showed you that he was blushing and rubbing the back of his neck.

Klaus tried to gather his thoughts with a deep breath, "Though I do believe we should discuss this when we actually have had some rest. So we could be certain we don't say or do anything we don't mean..."

"I don't really have anything else to say." You cut him off, "Not about this. All my cards are on the table."

Klaus looked at you, expression softening in the face of your certainty. He gently grabbed both of your hands, wanting to be close with you.

"I still think we have much to discuss." Klaus insisted, "Perhaps not how we feel, but how to proceed in our pursuit of a relationship. I'd rather not assume anything beyond what you've cleanly stated."

Your heart was melting. Klaus truly was the perfect gentleman.

Bella Notte [Klaus x Reader]

Bella Notte [Klaus X Reader]

This adorable little fic was requested by anonymous 🍝

You weren't sure this was going to work. Klaus seemed to be a bit of a stickler for personal space and boundaries. You didn't know if he would entertain this idea or kill it with questions.

You really hoped this would work.

Klaus was a bit thrown when you wanted to share a rather large plate of spaghetti, but went along with it. If you were comfortable doing this then he would at least try. He more wanted to be mindful than rude. Though he did know this was considered quite the romantic gesture, one he wouldn't have even dreamed to ask first. Yet one that melted his heart all the same.

You had long since planned this and asked Gilbert for his help in ensuring one noodle was long enough that Klaus wouldn't notice, yet also wouldn't break. You couldn't quite remember where you heard this, but there was a myth that doing this and the noodle breaks meant the love was doomed.

You really wanted to avoid that possibility.

Though part of you also knew Klaus would intentionally break the noodle if he fully noticed it. But by then you wouldn't be able to say not to, and you really did want to surprise him with the cute little moment.

Klaus had a tiny thought in the back of his head. An old saying that a noodle broken between two lovers was a sign that the relationship wouldn't last. So he was very careful to avoid the area of the plate you were at.

Though that didn't stop him from wanting to try it.

Meandering your way through discussing each other's days, you nearly forgot why you set this up at all. Both you and Klaus accidentally in sync and just happening to get the long noodle.

You noticed it before Klaus did and immediately began an internal panic sequence. He was gonna see it for sure. Oh no, oh no. Uh...mind blank. How do I distract him now??

It didn't take Klaus much longer to spot what was happening, a deep blush settling upon his face. Would this noodle hold? Was he really going to put any stock in an old superstition? Would you?

Yet neither of you chickened out, being very diligent to meet in the middle. Klaus was so relieved the noodle didn't break, maybe a part of him was a bit superstitious.

Though he didn't move away either, the two of you still gently pressing your lips together, the noodle still stubbornly intact as you weren't sure about biting down and stopping the moment. Being so close to Klaus like this always clouded your judgement.

Klaus was the first to move, severing the pasta between you and leaning back just a little. He didn't want that to be the end of the moment, though he wouldn't force you either.

You realized this as some kind of thought returned. The admittedly rapid chewing being the only sound for a few seconds. Maintaining eye contact, a silent conversation.

Klaus chuckled softly, corners of his mouth barely curling upwards, "My apologies Liebling. I truly didn't want to pull away so soon."

"Th-then why are you still over there?"

Your attempt to crack a joke was weak, but Klaus didn't care. Chuckling softly as he leaned down, another soft kiss. This time without a noodle to make it awkward.

Distraught [Steven x Reader]

Distraught [Steven X Reader]

Guys, it gets dicey under the cut. the only time I felt I needed a warning on these for anything other than suggestive. The only time I felt I needed an under the cut. DO NOT READ IF OPEN WOUNDS DO ANYTHING EXTREMLY NEGATIVE FOR YOUR MENTAL HEALTH. Tiny edit: I moved the cut to the whole fic.

This was bad. This was very bad.

Steven thought this would be a simple mission. In and out. Infiltrate the lair, stop the gas from leaking out into the city, be home with enough time to cook supper. He thought assigning you had been a formality. Nothing more than an over cautious back up plan.

They shouldn't need an artificer.

But the head of this attack to the city was a blood breed. This would take both of you fighting head on. Your other teammates couldn't do much.

Except call for back up and wait.

Both of you were quick on your feet and more than capable of dodging the relentless attacks. The tanks behind the blood breed being activated at the push of a button instead of a timer.

The only good news they'd ever had about wrong information.

Steven was being extremely careful not to hit you or otherwise get in your way. You were returning the favor, the two of you worked and fought together so well. Really to the point that there was a running office joke about how you two proved the old legends about the Gods splitting people in half for fear of what a whole being could do.

That joke always made you chuckle. It had been a thing before you and Steven started dating, only serving to increase the relentless teasing from Zapp.

You had barely dodged the blood breed's thrown daggers when a sharp sound from behind you caught your ear.

Steven...on the ground....a large cut in his thigh. And his chest. and his arms....

You snapped back to the blood breed, blinded by an unholy rage. Even if your spell work was weak, it was spurred on by emotion. And right now you were all emotion.

Steven stirred, his blood loss making his vision blurry. He could still fight, he wasn't down for the count just yet. [Name] needs back up. He can't let them face this alone.

The cold of his previous attacks made Steven sluggish, but his attention was keenly focused on you the second your throat let out the scream.

That absolutely gut-wrenching scream.

Steven stood up, staring. He was helpless. You hit the ground, coughing, sputtering, your heart laying some three feet outside your chest as the blood breed grinned.

The others that had been with you ran for cover as Steven's ice nearly exploded across the room. Large ice spikes impaling the blood breed, shredding the creature and freezing every last drop of it's blood into the sealing jar you carried with you for emergencies.

Steven's movements were slow. No, he had to be dreaming. He would wake up any minute now. You were fine. You were fine.

Dropping to his knees, Steven's whole body started shaking as he reached out to your body. He cradled you in his lap, trying to ignore the gaping hole in your chest. The way your clothes were ripped, scraps of fabric clinging to the internal wound.

The way you were shaking while clinging to life.

Your eyes found Steven's, one shaky arm rising slowly. Every ounce of your strength going into this one action. Just barely touching his cheek, not even able to wipe away a single tear. Steven's hand cupped yours, trying to convey what he couldn't say. He was simply too choked by the lump in his throat.

"........love......you...."

Steven wanted to tell you to save your strength. That help would be here soon. That you would be fine and you two would be going home.

But your hand slipped from his, the warmth not even faded. It simply was too heavy for him to hold. He couldn't believe this. You were just here, not even a second ago. But your eyes were.....

Steven woke up in a cold sweat. Looking around frantically. You had to be here. You had to be here.

But he search was futile. All he found was the scattered pages of funeral arrangements....

Flying Hug [Leo x Reader]

Flying Hug [Leo X Reader]

This adorable fic was requested by anonymous 💘

You might be use to chaos in this city, but sometimes the destruction was just too much. And today was a day of just too much destruction. You were being herded with a lot of other people, trying not to step on anyone's toes as you moved. And getting shoved pretty roughly as you went.

But you saw something that nearly made your heart stop.

Leo was nearly in the middle of the destruction. He had some other people around him, even a rather tall red-haired man blocking some of the debris from hitting Leo. But he was still right in the middle of the... whatever was happening right now.

You really needed Leo to be okay. For him to be able to get through this in one piece.

Leo was exhausted, another day spent in situations where he was in way over his head. Luckily he had caught sight of you being stewarded away from the area. He knew you'd be safe. But man was he sore from all the running around and especially the fall he'd taken, landing right on his back.

While he was trying to stretch, Leo turned to the sound of his name being called. Only to see you struggling against a police officer, eventually slipping under his arm and running head first at him. Leo could see your arms up for a hug and braced himself.

He was so surprised that you'd do something like this. But also deeply grateful. He needed a hug after what he just went through. Though he was most shocked that you hadn't simply knocked him over. Maybe his workouts were paying off, given how hard you'd just slammed into him.

Ignoring Zapp's teasing cat calls, Leo held onto you tightly. He really loved you so much. And you being so bold just to hug him now, Leo knew how badly he scared you by being a member of Libra. At least he could snuggle with you a bit to try and make up for it.

You were standing in the office listening to the briefing of an infiltration mission. Chain would be busy with the werewolves, so it was up to you to be the distraction with Zapp.

"Hold the f*^k up!"

You saw your chance and took it. Holding onto Zapp's arm.

"B^tch! What are you doing?!"

"What you asked."

"HAAAANH!?"

"You said hold the f*^k up.....here we are."

The room was quiet for a second as everyone processed what you meant. Zapp was, of course, first to respond.

"Get- Get off me!"

He somewhat struggled at pushing you away, but did manage to break your grip. Chain was giggling. Leo had to explain it a little to Zed before they both laughed. Steven lifted his coffee cup to hide his smirk. Only Klaus was ready to defend Zapp, except....he was doing that on his own.

Little Birdie [Lucky x Reader]

Little Birdie [Lucky X Reader]

Lucky had knowledge of all sorts of arcane spells and magic items, yet the book on the bench next to his sweetheart wasn't part of that lexicon. Not yet anyways.

He had to approach this delicately since it followed them everywhere and couldn't leave their side. His only proper solution being asking Klaus to bring him some research materials and be on hold for intel trafficking.

Yet, Lucky also had to try and comfort you. Being targeted by a magic artifact, possibly cursed, was quite the ordeal in itself. One Lucky had some experience himself. Though, not having a clue what this book would even do was bothering him to no end.

It was a rather pretty book. White felt, soft blue accents, shimmery silver trim swirling along the spine and cover. I gorgeous book by itself, but that had to be part of the magic. Lucky was certain of it.

■■■

Lucky blinked, he was certain he was just standing next to you. But now he was looking at a large lake. It was a pretty lake, very romantic setting to be certain. But, where was he? Where were you? Why couldn't he see you?

What he could see was a snow white swan. It had your eye color, which was rather unusual for a swan. Wait, it couldn't be...?

"[Name]?" Lucky leaned down to look the swan in the eye, "Is that you?"

"Yes." Lucky jumped back, your voice was still intact? "What happened? All I remember is standing by the book. Did it open maybe?"

"I don't know sweetie. I don't know what to do either. This whole situation is stranger than I have ever been in."

Lucky didn't like the look in your eye.

"It isn't hopeless. We'll get out of here. I'll find a way to get us out of this."

Lucky wanted to hurry this along, get you out of here. But he couldn't think what to really do. So he returned to the lake where you stayed every night. All he could think of was at least keeping you calm. Talking every night waiting for the full moon seemed to do the trick. If his hunch was correct, then his plan should work.

You were finally able to return to a human form the night of the full moon. Just in time, Lucky walked up as the transformation effect wore off. It had been a while, or at least felt like a while, since you were able to hug Blitz like this. Being hugged as a bird just felt weird.

"This is so much better." Lucky sighed, nuzzling gently against your cheek, "I don't think it's a good idea to let this story play out any further. And nothing else has helped. I'm quite relieved of that. I don't think I could deal with you as a swan back home."

You chuckled a little, "I'm sure you'd have found a way to undo that soon enough."

Lucky leaned back a little, smiling at you in a lopsided way. He loved how you trusted him, now if only this worked. He hated the idea of coming across your comatose body. Cupping your face, making sure you knew exactly what was coming next. A gentle kiss that nearly made you swoon.

■■■

Looking around the apartment, Lucky was glad it worked. He wasn't entirely sure, but was glad he didn't have to see that. Though, the book itself seemed to have disappeared. Nothing could be done about that, except research. But first...

"[Name], are you okay? You were the one transformed."

"I'm...okay. It was weird having feathers though."

"I bet. I could use a second pair of eyes on the research, if you don't mind."

"Won't I just get in the way? Isn't it sensitive information?"

Lucky slipped his arm carefully around your shoulders, "Not at all dear. After all, you were in the situation with me."
